About FirstStep Baby Health
FirstStep is a child health management tool for parents who want to keep track of the most important aspects of their baby’s health and well being. The app helps parents record, track and monitor immunizations, growth and development.
IMMUNIZATIONS:
With the FirstStep app, you get access to the most comprehensive immunization plan in your country. With personalized due dates, an intelligent tracking system and reminders, you will not forget important vaccination dates.
GROWTH CHARTS:
You can record and monitor your baby’s growth consistently, and have the most up-to-date growth records to share with your child’s doctor.
DEVELOPMENTAL MILESTONES:
The FirstStep app contains over 120 developmental (movement, emotional/social, cognitive and communication/language) milestones with the respective recommended age ranges*. Regularly keeping track of and recording these milestones will allow you to share this very important data with your child’s doctor when they conduct periodic developmental screenings and evaluations.
MEMORIES:
You can record memories of precious milestones and special moments with your baby - The Memory Lane will keep these memories as a timeline for you to have a unique album of your first years together!
HEALTH RECORDS:
You can download and share your child’s comprehensive health report, with the updated records of all vaccinations, growth charts and developmental milestones, as a 'pdf', from the app. The updated records are synced to your private and secure account on the cloud. So, you can ensure that you have your child’s records for life! Even if you lose your phone or uninstall the app, FirstStep will ensure you have access to your child's health data forever.
Please feel free to write to us at firststep@wayuhealth.com with any suggestions, questions or comments. FirstStep is here to help you understand and keep track of your child's physical and cognitive development.
*Important note: The vaccination schedules provided in the app are based on recommendations by the World Health Organisation (WHO), as well as the national/provincial immunization programs in your country. This app serves as a guide and reminder tool, and is not meant to offer medical advice. Vaccination delay calibrations are based on the schedules & recommendations provided by WHO, and your respective country’s immunization program.
Data for the growth curves is taken from the WHO Multicentre Growth Reference Study, which provides a single international standard for physiological growth in children up to age 5.
Developmental Milestones are adapted from the information provided by CDC and American Academy of Pediatrics. The app module is not meant to replace standardised development screenings and evaluations provided by a medical professional.
