Receipts by Wave for business

The app was working well for 3 years for me. I run a small business with this software. Since the August 2017 update, all my taxes are deleted on the app. Here's hoping the glitch is fixed soon! I have reached out to the support email twice since August, no response yet! The image recognition has been improved, but sometimes takes more than a day to load the scanned data. The regular software (outside of the app) still works well.

The previous version of this app was PERFECT. Since updating, nothing works. Everything is slow, I have to reload the app a few times to even get anything to work. Once I can finally scan in receipts, they take FOREVER to process. I'll get a notification that they are done processing, but it won't show as processed in the app for another 30 minutes. Edited: Changing this from 2 to 1 stars since it now won't process receipts for me at all, they've just been sitting there for 3 days now. Please fix the app or go back to your previous version :(

Previous version before this new version was released a few months ago worked very well. Now this app is riddled with bugs that make it a nuisance to work with. I've addressed the issue to the support team twice so far and I've been informed on both instances to reinstall the app. Upon doing so, some bugs were fixed but the app is still underperforming.

Are you ever going to fix this? I understand its free but there's just no point in having this app if it doesn't work. I loved the old version as I used it with wave invoices which is great. I would have rated the old one 5 stars. But my receipts no longer process. I have one processing still from March! Occasionally every few months something processing..... Woo

Useless app. :/ Thought I'd give it benefit of the doubt despite all the negative reviews lately. But unfortunately they were all true. Have had a scanned receipt in "queued" for 48 hours now, despite many others uploaded via web going through.

App is extremely slow and inconsistent. Opening it to the main screen has about 8 seconds before I can click anything. If I click on the camera during this time, the icon will highlight to acknowledge (sometimes) but won't bring up the camera. Receipts sometimes show up as processing when they are already processed, sometimes don't show up in ready after they are processed. The concept behind the app is good, but sluggish and inconsistent.

Would give it 5 stars if it would allow you to take a pic of receipts from landscape view. It used to! Please bring this feature back! It's very time consuming to have to take a picture through your phone and then upload it.

Used to be fantastic, the new update has made it painfully slow to add receipts. It doesn't take pictures unless you sit still for about 55 seconds, and when they are processing it can take hours. Please bring back the old version, this one is useless. It's been a few months. It's still really bad, please listen to your customers and bring back the old version. Please.

Like other reviewers, my receipts simply disappeared. I hope the reviews get the developers attention. It's better that the app doesn't exist than having these types of problems. Luckily I didn't lose data, just tested with a few receipts.

After reviewing a receipt and posting it, the app posts the receipt with a different total. For example when posting a receipt with a total of 3.40 I find that the posted amount is 0.30 when it should be 3.40 as per my input or what is automatically detected. This is happening on both the Android and iOS versions of the app. Please fix this problem. Thanks

In line with the other recent reviews, the updated Receipts app is very poor. After taking a picture of the receipt (which my S7 struggles with) the receipt sits in limbo for hours. The previous version was very fast and very easy to use.

Used to work perfectly. After the update it does nothing. Locks up, doesn't process uploads they just are stuck processing and are never finalized. Doesn't respond to touches. Don't know why it changed for the worse.

**Update 17/12/17. I'm downloading all my receipts and uninstalling. This app has turned to absolute rubbish. Going back to taking photos ofy receipts and storing them in Google Drive...A shame as it went from amazing to same old same old..**Dropping to 2 stars. This app used to be very good and only needed some minor touches. The rewrite has made it buggy. I have scanned receipts that just sit there as unknown. A shame ** This app has fantastic potential. With a couple more fixes, I'd give it 5 stars. First, ability to backup elsewhere such as Google Drive, not just import. Doesn't seem to be able to import pdf receipts already taken in Google drive. Ability to identify and crop receipts. Overall impressive!!!

Seriously horrible. The update killed a decent app. Since the update I have had no luck entering my receipts. I will not recommend it to anyone.

I'm having tremendous issues with the update. Receipts that I snap and wait for processing disappear. They take a real long time to process. Search function works then suddenly decides otherwise. This app feels very beta.

Terrible, takes forever to scan receipts. While I am writing this review, I had been waiting for more than 40 mins for 10 receipts to be scanned. Previous version was much better and responsive.

This update is terrible. Used the previous version that worked like a charm. Takes forever to load. Don't understand how this is an improvement.

Use the app for a while and it is pretty good until now. The girdt time it fail to sync my receipts, is there any server problem or anything else?

Great as a utility to keep track of receipts for your business but it has terrible startup lag. Takes half a minute for it to recognize a tap to switch to camera and even longer to take a picture. Don't get frustrated and keep tapping though because it'll register all the taps and the app will spaz out from all the commands.

New update ruined this app. Can no longer recognize any of the receipts I submit and I need to manually input all the information. Doesn't make tracking any easier because of this.

This app is terrible. The previous version was better. The syncing does not work properly. Please do another upgrade or revert this version to the old one

Painfully slow. The old app was great, but receipts are taking forever to process. Hopeless if you want to do some paperwork quickly.

Some very serious performance issues in the new revamped version. Takes up to 40 seconds between opening the app and it being usable (I'm a on a oneplus 3, which has more than enough power). Otherwise a great service for free

I agree with the other reviews, the new version is terrible! The older version was much more responsive.

Pretty slow app when loading, but mostly does what it's meant to do. My main complaint is that receipts that were verified on the web version isn't synced here. The result is a pile of receipts that stay in "Processing" and "Ready" that have already been completed. Please fix!

The upgrade to the app is still a little buggy. It is very slow and unresponsive. However, when these problems are fixed I can see it will be easier to use than the previous version.

Updated this morning from the original app, what have you done!? It keeps crashing, it's slow, it won't recognise anything anymore. You've ruined it!

It's an ok addition to the Wave service, but mostly only useful for cash transactions. Each receipt entered also creates an entirety new transaction, so if it is something imported from your bank already, you'll need to go on your computer & manually merge both. The main drawback: it's unbearably slow. Receipts take 20 minutes to an hour or more to process, then still need to be approved for posting to my books. Even if I manually enter everything, I the app still "processes". Its honestly almost not even worth having the app, if you keep good paper backups and don't need digital receipts.

Receipts just aren't working at the moment on wave apps. In this app and also I regularly email receipts over to the receipts email address and none of them are showing in my account. Tried sending the emails again, and also scanning paper receipts using the app but either shows queued for days then they disappear, it they just don't show up at all! Needs fixing asap otherwise I will be switching my invoicing system to someone else!

Old version of app had some issues but did seem to work well most of the time. Latest version is awful. Camera is zoomed in and can't be focused, so you need to take photos with the standard camera app then open them in Wave. Uploaded 5 photos but it seems that the upload only processes one, the remaining four are stuck in "processing". Wave in browser shows the processed receipt, which is not synced back to the device app. It's VERY BROKEN. Also, there is no on device filter for processed receipts, all my old receipt images are taking up valuable memory. "Support" always gives the stock response of "uninstall and reinstall". Well now I will simply uninstall and leave it there. Thanks for the huge waste of time, I will have to place all my accounts back onto something more reliable. In fact, I could probably develop something better than this if I weren't too busy running another business.

What happen to the older version.. This version takes ages to load or verify.... Pls bring back the older version...

Since the latest update this app is very very slow. It takes a very long time for photographed receipts to show up completed inside of the app. I just ran some that took 2 hours

They fixed the "OAuth authorization method" issue and it works great again! Very helpful app to organize your receipts when you're out in the field.

The previous version worked well, albeit slowly. This new update is laggy as hell, and my receipts get stuck in the processing queue for indefinite periods of time. Please fix.

Fix the camera button! It's impossible to take photos of receipts. When you press the camera button, the app registers a swipe instead, sliding over to the next screen instead of pressing the camera shutter button.

Since the new version was released, I have had no luck uploading receipts. The previous version worked very well. Syncing receipts to my books is a big deal for my business. I may have to find something other than Wave Apps for my accounting software.

Great app! Spares me the hassle of processing journals. Thank you

I can't get it to process anything. This app is totally useless! I have receipts saying waiting to upload from months ago.
