Spirit Level Plus

Crashed every time I used it. You also have to calibrate it on a flat surface before use. How do you do that if I don't know what's level to start with? That's why I wanted a spirit level.!

Without any instructions I'm not sure how you're supposed to calibrate this level. Could be my mistake, but I'm not getting out a spirit level to set up the app.

It works like it should but if i multi task it stops working and i have to restart it. But other than that its a great app

Everytime I exit the app to the home screen. My phone always said the app had stopped working. Overall the spirit level was easy to use and was a useful app to have on my phone.

I have the same issue as the other user mentioned, this app automatically crashes when you try to close it via back button, prompting force close errors. Uninstalling!

Did what it says it would do and it doesn't crash or report it stopped becuase it is dodgy... It says that becuase you move the android whilst the phone is off and it can't keep up with rapid movement. Nothing wrong with it and it did the job. 5 stars

As a professional carpenter, I appreciate an app with a realistic look and feel. An actual level's bubble jiggles around given the slightest provocation and so does the virtual bubble! Also, to read a level accurately, the bubble should be close to the same size as the space it has to fill between the lines. This app comes the closest. One issue - after closing the app, an error message pops up telling me "the app closed unexpectedly - report?" I am aware the app closed...I closed it! Still, nice app!

Appalling. Takes forever to initialise on RAW ANDROID (Google Nexus5X) which is otherwise a very fast phone. Starts working, then locks up for about 20 seconds (at the end of which it displays an advert, so congrats for making a mess of that bit!), then finally gets going again. Bubbles extremely jittery even on minimum sensitivity. Needs some sort of averaging algorithm to smooth out (dampen) the movement. Very crude measurement, resolution appears to be 1 degree, so it's actually jittering by at least 1 degree. Yours shelves will never be straight if you use this! The only good points are that it calibrates ok, and the linear levels have lines in the right places so the bubble just fits within them. And then crashes most times on exit. UNINSTALLED.

i would give it a negative. does not work. bubble stays center all the time no matter how you tilt the phone. it does not move at all. app crashes after 15-20sec of launching it.

Nexus 5. It used to work very good, but lately the position refresh is too fast. The circle bubble jumps around and the numbers change too rapidly the be readable. Also, it locks up sometimes and reports App Stopped error every time it exits. Nice otherwise.

Keeps force closing. Just a pain when ur having to keep moving your phone to re start the app when also trying to use the main feature (getting something level)

It does what it says, and has a two-axis spirit level. But the app is buggy; it's very slow to load, sometimes it doesn't work at all, and it ALWAYS crashes on close or task-switching it even when the screen goes to sleep. Tested on a Galaxy S2 and my cheap Chinese tablet.

It keeps on crashing when I exit it, so its time to remove it and use another, it was a great app though.

Seems fine, agreed with my actual level. Supported by scummy ads that try to trick you into downloading anti virus you don't need ("virus detected, click here to fix" type ads). Crashed three times of five launches.

Black screen until android reports is stopped working

It's good. Did the job. Did crash a lot in the five minutes the job took, adding another 2 mins of swearing and re starting. Please fix and 5 stars as it works REALLY WELL

Crashes every time. Uninstalled. Oh, and it wasn't accurate. I've seen mention of calibration in the other comments, so maybe that's it, but I've not had to calibrate with other similar apps.

Waste of time. Unstalling due to errors but I would think that spirit level on a smartphone is only a guide and proper tools should rather be used.

When I put my phone up straight.. It shows me a reading of 85 degrees instead of 90.. It reaches a max of 86 only.. Please fix?

Great simple app utilising the accelerometer but every time I close on the S3 the phone freezes for a short while and a error message follows.

Since downloading this app is saved me load of time digging around in the old tool box for a level!!!!

A small sized app. And works good. I downloaded several spirit level app, but none of them works. And this simple app works better than all, and saves your storage space too..

Crashes every time you lock or unlock the phone meaning you have to force quit it and reopen. Other than that works well as a spirit level. Nexus 5

Would give it 5 stars if I could truly calibrate it to 0 degrees - just need to average 2 readings 180° rotated to each other.
