The WP Classic app for Android is great; I especially like the flexibility to use the print edition online at the same time my wife is reading the hard-copy print paper next to me, or to switch to online full-text articles at will. It's fast and stable. My biggest problem with the WP isn't the Classic app, now that I've found it, but the confusing abundance of other WP apps out there with indistinguishable differences in intent and overlapping features (or lack thereof) only revealed by painful experimentation. GET RID OF THEM! Focus your entire support staff on one really good reader app so that reader's navigation and feature questions (including those I asked) actually get answered, specifically, and not with canned multi-purpose, generalized, therefore useless, blather. If another application like Press Reader insists on another feature set, make it very clear that it's their app not yours. One other complaint:. Your rating app is non-intuitive to use and continues to ask me for the same input; if you want edits to my old review ask for edits, don't continue to ask for new reviews then not allow them.

A bit new to the on line version, but extremely handy when you are seperated from the paper edition. Love it when I am out of town or a problem occurred with my daily delivery.

Good app. Pleasant to read news on this app. I will say that the Los Angeles Times App is a bit easier to navigate. A+ for the actual newspaper. Washington Post and LA times are my favorite USA papers. Generally balanced and well-written and informative without being too verbose like a certain New York paper. (Of course all paper's op-ed sections are biased.

If you want national news it's great. Unfortunately I want Maryland local news and it's not really set up to do that properly. I'm better off opening a browser window and go into the Washington Post that way if I want Maryland local. Subscribing to The Washington Post is a highly effective and useful tool in avoiding fake news and allows me to keep a clear head in the fight for democracy.

It's ok but touchy...if you're scrolling through an article, it will very often just flip sideways to next article rather than scrolling down. When you try to go back, takes you to top of article. Makes for unpleasant user experience...

I've had this less than a day and am pretty sure I'm not going to keep it. For free I'd like to at least be able to read the front page articles. After 2 articles, it starts asking for money and if you close the window you lose the article. I'd pay for it but I think $14.99 a month is a bit much

Very impressed with the visual appeal and great subject matter taken up by The WP. Excellent perspectives and in-depth reading on well thought and creatively engaging, in explorative subject matter which is absolutely current. Seriously challenges the NYT as the national touchstone for in-depth reporting within the major press marketplace. Beautiful photograpghy and layout. Pretty stoked with the press. Recommend.

Summer 2015: I hardly read the print version at home anymore, but I may go back. Lots of problems with the digital version on my Galaxy Note 2014. Can't get latest content as it won't refresh, etc. UPDATE Spring 2017. Post has created a very readable digital paper app that provides the top stories first and then the rest. no longer are there any technical probems with the app. Rather enjoy reading the paper this way versus the papyrus version. Great improvements.

App changes format ( upgrades?) so often that it is hard to develop any ease of use skills to maneuver around the content. A users guide would be useful when there are format changes. Get it right and maybe there will be some stability!

I have yet to have full access to your news! I can't judge from teaser headlines that immediately block me! I am also disabled with a journalism degree and voracious news hound which means my poverty level SSI income makes $15. a month steep, though I do respect your organization! The BBC offers more and posts faster than you or CNN!

The app is a little clunky at times , and the widget has a tendency not to update. Otherwise the newspaper formats pretty well and is relatively good about allowing you to set notifications so as not to get overwhelmed.

After a few days use, app freezes up unless you agree to purchase $15 per month subscription. Articles good while they lasted.

I am fed up with the Post's multitude of apps. Long ago I subscribed via Amazon and all was going well until I was suddenly told my subscription didn't allow me to use the app I've been using just fine - I'd need to upgrade my subscription. And why do they have 2 different apps? I'm done - cancelling my subscription now.
