knit tink | Row Counter for Android
I like it, easy to use. My one complaint is you can only have 3 projects going at a time. Wish there was more.
Simple row counting app with features I didn't even know I needed. It doesn't suck battery life, and I love the design. One of my favourite apps. Update: Just realized Jennifer lives down the street from me. So that's hilarious. Small world!
Perfect for what I need. I bought the Pro version to be able to add more patterns. My question is, where do my patterns go on my phone? I don't want to lose them when I switch phones.
Doesn't work if you need to keep up with multiple counters on that project? Uninstalling
Really easy to use, would be great if you could sync over multiple devices, would choose Pro if you could.
This app provides what it promises. I would love a widget option.
Had this on my last device and liked it so much I just installed it to my new phone.
Is amazing
I absolutely love this app. It's very simple and straightforward. Most of my current projects are simple repeats, so the counter works perfectly. The only quibble I have is the lack of backup (but not enough of a quibble to lose a star). Dropbox integration to backup progress would be a great addition, to insure against device death, or to sync between devices.
Easy to use! Just bought the pro version, but not sure what's different yet. I find a lot of my patterns are something for x number of rows, then decrease over y number, then the same thing again for z. Maybe the option for putting the total number of rows and some sort of alert when you get to the row you need to change? A sync would be good too. I'm currently keeping note on Google Keep to update on my app when my phone has battery.
Just one really dumb question....my brain has gone blank and I can't remember what rows per repeat means! Isn't it when you repeat the same type of stitch (i.e. a single crochet row) for a certain number of times?
Has anyone seen any instructions on how to use the Pro app? For instance, when I try to link projects all that happens is that the link button grays out. Shouldn't I be able to choose another project to link to? I'm very confused! In theory I like this app, but it needs a menu button maybe, or a quick How To tutorial when you first load it.
Keep it simple stupid. That's exactly what they did and I love them for it. Gorgeous and easy to navigate. I can't wait until the PDF reader is ready!
I love this app! It is perfect for doing projects with (or without) repeating chart patterns. I love that it counts the number of rows per repeat and then total repeats as you go - it makes it so much easier to follow a pattern chart! It's also beautifully designed - simple and pretty!
Love this app. I only wish I could make an account and save my info, cause I broke my phone recently and lost my place in my projects.
Seems to do just as it says :) i like the simplicity of the screen. What is the "linked chain" icon to be used for? It just turns gray when tapped. Also, is there some way to count "stitch repeats" as well as "row repeats" (common in lace patterns). Updated: no reply to my question so still not using the "link" icon. Also, upgraded to pro to see if there was some difference? When trying to upload picture from gallery it freezes/crash. Can only do from camera, then its 1 pic/project & only a thumbnail??
I'm on a pattern where I have a repeat for 24 rows but is going into a set of 40 decreasing rows. Is there any way to make different sets of rows (dif stitch repeats or increase &decrease)? Or do you have plans for this in free or pay? I do love how it looks and feels.
This app turned out to be so helpful the very first project I used it for that I bought the pro version. It does more than just keep track of your place in a pattern; it also gives you the ability to make notes and include pictures of your work. It's like a lab notebook for fiber!
I like the app but really wish I could back it up. My phone crashed and I lost everything.
I love the simple design and how easy it is to use. Perfect for people who tend to forget what row/repeat they're on. I would love of you could see notes while in the counter instead of just in details though.
Love the simplicity of this app.. Love the repeat option. Not sure though what the link button is for?
This should be the highest rated counting app. Have tried three and this one easily let's you count rows and repeats. And the pro version is so cheap for what it is! Great app.
Thanks for app) I wonder if you can add sts field, like for total rows number and opportunity to attach PDF file for projects)
This app provides what it promises. I would love a widget option.
It would be great to inventory supplies and convert yarn amounts.
Thanks for the quick update! I can add projects and photos again. :)
I use this app with every project. It works great!
It does what it says. I use it daily.
Does exactly what I need, is easy to use and looks good.
Does exactly what it says it can.
Like it
I love how adorable and simple to use it is! I hope that some sort of needle/hook inventory will be implemented later. Also some sort of save load feature. My 1 year old loves to press the pretty buttons. Bought full version and can't wait for future updates!
How about voice recognition feature to count rows... A great help for the disabled. I'd buy a "pro version" for that feature!! :-)
I love this app, it's great for keeping track of all my projects and their row counts. But I paid for pro a month or so ago, and now that I'm trying to go above 3 projects again, it's asking me to buy Pro again. Do I have to pay everytime I dip below 3 projects and want to add a fourth? That can get expensive quick for people like me who delete a project as soon as it's done.
Thanks for the quick update! I can add projects and photos again. :)
This is a good little app for keeping track of rows, and I use the repeat feature to count my increase/decrease rounds, which is most helpful. I think a good addition would be a stopwatch to time your knitting speed, with a lap function so you could compare each round. Sometimes I wish I knew if I had enough time to finish a row while waiting in line or whatever. Could use a separate app but of course I already have this one open..
You have to pay for to many of the pattens
I already bought the pro version, but when it is updated, now I get the free version. I should buy it again? :(
Great counter!

Great app! This is a really simple row counter that really doesn't need a lot of explanation to figure out. This is one of the first apps I make sure to download on new devices- on that note, I really, really wish there were a backup data option! I tend to work on a lot of projects at a time, and manually updating on new devices is tiring. I look forward to the new PDF feature!
