Neighborhoods & Apartments for Android
I like the basis of it, it could be a great app. But i can't use it like i need. When i click a marker it should not go back to the same colour afterwards. It is very hard to keep track when there's a lot of markers in one area. Plus the emails dont open the stupid app. It offers to download the app but not open the suggested listings IN the app.
I just wanted to see what the listed businesses were for my new rental. The site made me download this extremely slow and nonworking app with a bad UI to do so. Shame on you, Walkscore. I'll be deleting this app and looking at Google Maps instead.
It used to be great but lately it won't show any apartments in certain areas even though I know there are lots... and it's really annoying how the blue bubbles don't turn Grey after you look at a listing. Makes it impossible to keep track
On the app you can't filter pets allowed. On the website I almost got scammed. Do your due diligence.
Terrible, doesn't seem to work, just hangs when I type in a new city. Doesn't give a way to view walk scores for different cities on a map either.
I don't like having to jump all over the map looking at all the areas so I gave up. It's much easier just scrolling through a list instead of all over
I used to use all the time as it showed lots of options for apartments in my city. Then it wouldn't remember the apartments I "favorited" and now it's not showing a single apartment in my city. There must be some sort of glitch, would love to be able to use this app again!
We live in a very walkable area but the app is clueless. it is missing major resources here for 10+ years (bank, hospital, a hundred doctors, outdoor recreation, etc.). It thinks we can't walk or bike to anything. I guess that means we are a secret?!?
Simply not accurate. Everything (and I mean everything) is with 5 blocks of where I live, and the walkability score is 41. Ha ha. Evidently, the algorithm needs work. Look elsewhere.
It doesn't have a lot of info. U can only depend on it 35%. Especially when it comes to telling u the nearby shops or things to do or restaurants.
Serves the purpose the Padmapper used to. Only suggestion would be to allow copying text from the postings, such as when a link or email is given
Talk about a missed opportunity. The idea of a walk score is fantastic. Unfortunately, the creators of the app have taken so many shortcuts for unknown reasons that this app borders on unusable. As other users have mentioned, there's no heat map. That should be enough said, but then you can't link to any external information about properties, even if the link is in the description. Want to list your unit for rent on the app? Too bad, just post it on random sites I guess and hope it's one of the ones they've scraped in an effort to make a quick buck. This app could have become the standard for finding apartments but instead it feels like it was made as cheaply as possible without a single thought to the user.
I had always used the online website but it's great they made an app. Much more convenient esp people who don't drive a Car
Looking for an apartmenr? This is a good app but I have an iPad and used to have an iphone..the apple version is way better and has way less bugs.
The scores are calculated based on a series of particulars. These scores are properly calculated, however, there is nothing stopping homeowners from charging whatever they want, no matter the are or the walk score. It used to be that having a rental unit assisted a homeowner in paying a mortgage, but now homeowners want the entire mortgage, and then some. The rent charged is definitely not indicative of the walk score. The government will soon be forced to step in and either decrease the amount allowable to charge or increase the cost of living...and we know they won't do that!!! So homeowners beware.. get it while you can because it won't last long!!
I like this app ,because I've found some apartments unlisted that I could afford, but I would Love it if it was easier to use, & see more apartments in the area then walk scores.
This app is unbelievable, shows my walk times to where I need to be, shows apartments from different sites, I could not be more satisfied in a time of stress and anxiety about moving. This app has helped me tons.
I have just started using this app and so far I love it. I'm looking for my 1st home and it has helped me decide if I should even bother looking at the house or not. I have 3 children who are growing up and will be eventually taking public transit. Great idea!
I like this app for everything but its filtering options which seem to be non existent . You cannot search by filtering for pricing or number of bedrooms or bathrooms. If it had these options it would be infinately more useful.
Whenever on the site it showed more options, I don't think the app is worth it and now the mobile website at least isn't as good either anymore. I'm really disappointed
The app is much better than the web site. Web site confuses my desire for a walk score with my (lack of) desire to rent an apartment.
Using S4 with AT&T in the middle in Chicago. I didn't see the status of a place I sold as a Realtor months ago, but then, I already knew that :) For real estate, I only use quick and pretty sites just to be fast (no sign-in). Then I have to go confirm that with the ugly but truthful but buggy and slow MLS (for Realtor use). I got this for walking capacity. It gave me everything there, exactly what I asked for. We'll see. I don't like it wanting my email and I won't ok that.
I'm less than 5 minutes walking from the local main street, which has all kinds of services and I get a score of 49- auto dependant. Really stupid

A lot of the listings are scams, you gotta be careful to whom you give your personal information. It's a app with potential to grow.
It freezes, force closes, and is generally unresponsive after trying to use it for 10 minutes. I like walkscore. Just not the app.
IKnow this town most people don't have the time to walk to eat an walk back, because of over priced rentals we have to work a 1 full-time job and a part-time job!
overall, it's useful but it doesn't provide the contact info sometimes and the information is not the most updated. thanks for the app but there is still a lot of room to grow.
Would like to see the full information from the website on here. Only basic info provided.
Not sure if the information is reliable. Many of the pictures seem to be of multiple homes or apartments. Unable to find my favorite homes.
A pain to maneuver and can't filter results. ..I'm going back to my laptop. ..
Less information than the website, but the website forces you to get the app to browse via the map view. E.g. the beta crime score is not available. Also, the heat map for walk scores never loads.
Showing great rental properties but when I called to inquire most of them are no longer available... since 2 years ago!
We'll if you looking rent an apartment this is an excellent app!!! You can find apartments for cheap prices and availability or location or walk distance score
It doesn't have a lot of info. U can only depend on it 35%. Especially when it comes to telling u the nearby shops or things to do or restaurants.
I absolutely love this application. I will NEVER move without first consulting Walk Score.. Great App...Very useful.
Most of the time it takes me to kijiji. At least on kijiji I can be more specific, and search "furnished".
I am moving out of state and I use this app for every apt listing I find. It works well and provides all the information that is important.
No heat map unless you click into a neighborhood at which point the app predictably crashes every time.

How can a walk show app fail to have a walk score "heat map"? I just want to work out what neighborhoods are walkable enough to consider buying a house there. I can't even engage with the house and apartment advertising side of this app because it doesn't answer this basic question. The commute functionality is nice, but I have a family that are at home all day while I work. I want to know if they will enjoy the neighborhood and get exercise while I am out, and if my evenings and weekends will be pleasant.
