Walabot DIY

The app works I guess but the walabot doesn't work worth a darn. Very finicky. Doesn't really calibrate well enough to be useful. I hope I can get a refund as I don't think it is worth messing with. Most replies to these complaints say to call customer support for help. They just tell you to wait until the next software upgrade and problems will be fixed. Well, the next upgrade didn't make anything any better, as a matter of fact, not sure there even was an upgrade. Still want my money back. Adheres to the phone with some sticky single use jell as if they want you to leave it on your phone forever. Nope. Not for me.

They advertise a magnetic connection to your phone but all they send you is a lousy sticky disc that will last a few uses then it will no longer be sticky. False advertising at its finest. Have not been able to put this through its paces and I am already disappointed!

Works as advertised. Just remember the minute you take it off the wall you have to recalibrate.

Worked on a OnePlus One (Lineage OS). Just arrived, scanned a brick-wall and found several pipes/wires. I will do tests on several types of walls and flores.

Disappointed with the service, but the product itself works well. My service complaint is that it took them ages to actually ship. I don't mean "to arrive" I mean "to ship". They didn't even get it out the door for at least two weeks (and I needed a stud finder in the interim). I had to hound them just to ship it and send me the tracking number. I wouldn't go through that again. To be fair, following my initial one star review, they did get in touch with me to apologize, and explained that this order was during a time of increased demand. Hopefully they've solved the logistics issue now.

I bought this and tried to install it then uninstall it then reinstall it trying to get it to work. I contacted support by email and got basic instructions that were computer generated. It seems like a good idea but I have not seen any good results yet

Using a Samsung S7 edge, everything works for me. Installed hooks on the wall and was able to find all the beams and avoid the pvc pipes. There is a tutorial video with the app. Shows how to use it. Makes it easy too use.

Seems to have a probem with comm's between phone and walabot

Walabot sensor ;very useful device for android smart phone. It will be good if it can use in iphone.

I bought this due to the positive reviews but after trying it out, I can only say it is a total waste of £100 as it doesn't work. On a stud wall I got nothing but "metal stud" detected everywhere no matter what settings I tried. The app itself is also poorly built and doesn't even have an exit button. You have to turn off your phone and hope you have a notification available to be able to unlock the phone and bypass the last app you were using. Pretty piss poor is my overall conclusion. Save your money and buy an awl for finding the studs.

Crashes Note 4, running 6.0.1 upon start up. Didn't say anything about Note series execpt Note 7 not capability. Worth nothing if it crashes phone.

Great product, very intuitive, easy to use and to understand how it works. Took me less than 15 minutes to locate the box inside the wall that i was looking for. I waited years for such a product that actually works.

So I download the app, get the introduction and then sent to an online page to PURCHASE the app for $149 before a $50 discount! What the he**!! Nothing was said on Google Play of a fee. Now, if the company wants to give me the full app for free since it is false advertising on Google Play, I'll be more than glad to accept.

Piece of crapp, stud finder at Costco works 20 times better 1/3 the cost, didn't find pipes or electric lines as claimed

I didn't wanted to even rate 1 star to this. But then i couldn't submit my review. Worst app and a loss of 47mbs. Useless app. Wanted to rate it negative stars. Useless!!

Same as everyone else. Walabot, where are you? Where are the fixes? Help us understand.

The app is easy to install. I connected it to my phone. I calibrated it on a sheet-rock wall. I installed this wall so I know exactly where the electrical and plumbing is. The Walabot showed a red blob roughly where a stud was and didn't register the Romex or galvanized pipe at all. I adjusted the intensity. No luck. The YouTube video shows a pipe mode. Mine has no pipe mode. I'm a contractor and thought this might actually be useful in my work. I was wrong. You might be able to use the screenshots as a form of modern art but certainly not as a locating tool.

Does not work, even as a standard stud finder, let alone pipes and wires. Tried to return but was convinced by tech support to wait for the next update. That was 2 months ago, and they said it would be a couple weeks. Contacted them to complete the return since I'm tired of waiting and haven't heard anything back. Don't waste your money. I'm beginning to believe it's an elaborate scam.

Just got mines in the mail s7edge phone works perfect. Easy setup. Just placed magnet circle on my phone case showed wood a nd showed my vacuum tubes in my wall. Hope to never see a rodent

Magnet was missing and other parts. Did not work on my newer phone had to use it with old phone. good old fashioned stud finder is better by far. Not worth the money. All hype !! Disconnects all the time complete let down. Seriously Want my money back. So un-happy good grief bla blaaaaaaa vomit

They advertise it like as soon as you install the app you'll be able to see what's behind your wall but that's a complete BS. You have to have other equipment and watch bunch of training videos etc. to be able to do that. I'd rather buy a cheap device from home Depot. It's probably easier and cheaper that way

Well I didn't get the magnet some sticky button that I can't remove and I'm not putting that on a brand new s8 plus imaging only could see wire not a stud or pipe raw data seems to show studs but not sure

Not intuitive but with practice it does work. Love to see how the top model works!

Garbage app, why the app need access to the media files, doesn't work like they day. By the way, doesn't work

Sucks does not connect forces you to watch videos...

Still need a separate device so might as well buy the proper thing
