7 Minute Workout: Free Fitness for Android
Seems so easy, yet it gets my heart beat up so quick. Only 7 minutes to start off the day. I have never written a review before, but I feel like this is an app I would use often. You could repeat the 7 minutes a couple times to have a full workout. I really like the timer and the voice tht tells you to rest or what to do next. I recommend giving this a try along with a fitness tracker.
I bought a Tickr X to count and log reps. The Wahoo website says "Login to your Wahoo Fitness account to track progress through the Wahoo 7 Minute Workout app". This appears to be an iOS feature only so I'll be returning the Tickr X. Shame, it all seems like such a good idea.
Paying the extra $1.99 for pro advertises the additional workouts but is a hoax. Previous reviewers have mentioned this too and the only response from Wahoo is that they didn't advertise that, when clearly you did, otherwise all of these people wouldn't be expecting it when they paid for pro. The app seems much better supported for iPhone, which really is a shame and unfair.
This is a simple stopwatch that walks you through the cycle of exercises. It also includes videos that show proper form for each. 1 improvement - I occasionally interrupted the cycle and had to start over. Would like a feature to restart in mid cycle.
I finally coughed up the ridiculous amount of money to go pro and buy everything so I'd have the same workouts as my friend who has the iPhone. I was shocked when I didn't get everything she had. I shouldn't be penalized for having an Android!!
For some workouts, the tickr x is quite inaccurate. Like squat, even if i stand still, the app will continue to count. Another suggestion, if we can monitor heart rate during exercise, it will be great
Got my heart rate up for sure. And I am so busy with work, I can't always get in a great workout. I can fit 7 minutes into my day several times a day, while I'm at work.
Like the alternative workout here, but it could use a countdown option. I need to know when I can look forward to the next break! I use the 7 minute workout by Leap Fitness instead when I do the classic workout.
It would be great if it could save the number of reps you do using the Tickr X. That way you could track your evolution. If it doesn't do that it's just another fitness app.
User beware! Wahoo charges $1.99 to get the pro version stating by doing so you unlock alternative workouts. You should know that this is not true. You don't get any other workouts and still have to pay for each additional workout. Customer Service does a terrible job trying to explain why this is the case. It's not a lot of money to go pro but you don't get what they advertise. Beware of false advertising with this company. Edit: Read Wahoo's response then check out the list of benefits you get when you go pro. The last one stating you unlock alternate workouts is not true. The only items you get for $2 in this list are the first 4. * Set the duration per exercise. * Set the rest between exercises. * Adjust the number of sets. * Randomize the exercises. * Unlock alternate workouts
Wow. I am amazed at how this really IS A workout. 7 minutes can do a lot for you by following this regimen, especially if you are out of shape like I am. It's similar to crossfit in that you do as many reps as you can in the time allotted. It works all of your muscles, with some cardio! This app is great.
Reply Edit: So the RunFit app or Wahoo fitness app only tracks running and other sorts of exercises not the type in 7minute fitness. I paid for Wahoo tracker. When I first used the app I thought it was awesome that the app was counting reps perfectly. But after the workout, I realised that it doesn't store any of that information which was a huge letdown.
Certainly gives you an all over body workout. Not to be dismissed, try it today
I LOVE this workout. It went really fast and I'm out of breath! But in a good way. I wanted a quick workout to do on my lunch break and this is perfect.
I like this app. Gives a quick full workout hitting pretty much every body part. Just getting back into working out again and doing this app first thing in the morning gets me nice and ready for the day
When you are getting back into it or don't have a lot of time this is awesome. Heart rate up!
I didn't realise how hard this was... I definitely need to do this every day, great starter tool for anyone too shy for a gym
I just completed my work out and I'm sweating like crazy but it's worth it because I'll get skinnier and uts just awesome
7 minutes really goes fast but still manages to kick your butt in the process.
Nice simple workout and audio description so you don't need to look at the screen at all. Worth using a few times but too basic unless you pay the $2.
If you dont know what the exersise is it has a video explaning it and it gives you a 5 second break in between exersises
It tells you what to do and keeps time for you but make sure you know what the exercises are first. Look forward to seeing the results, what's 7 minutes out of your day, definitely worth a try!
I LOVE IT, IT SEEMED SO EASY AT FIRST AND I BARELY SWEAT, BUT NOW I AM SWEATING MORE THAN ANYTHING I GAINED A POUND IN MUCEL AND MOST APPS LIKE THIS MAKE YOU SIGN UP BUT THIS ONE DIDN'T
Frustrating - keeps crashing. Am I the only person frustrated because this doesn't track anything, running Wahoo Fitness in background? About 1 in 3 times, the 7 minute workout just restarts itself randomly. How can I do a 7 minute workout if it only lasts 5 minutes before it has brought up the screen to start?
In 7 minutes I sweating and my heart rate was up. Great work. Very effective.
Doesnt even sync with the heart rate monitor its built for. The support page is impossible to complete! Sort it out!
7 minutes and I feel like I got a good workout. Simple enough and short enough time that it's something I can do consistently, no excuses! Always feel more energized throughout the day when I'm doing this consistently
This app is making pant like crazy....Awesome
Shocked it does not save a history so you can chart progress.
It makes me lose breathe but it's okay I love it
Love that it's editable so I can create my own workout as well! I do wish they had more than one editable option as I do different workouts during the week, so I need different timers. This app will need access to your calls and media so it can stop counting if you get a call and lower the music you're playing so you can hear the counter over your music.
Glorified manual. Yes it tracks reps, but if you dont remember them they are lost forever. There is no summary and no log. Not even during the workout so you can compete against yourself. All effort seems to go into apple. The belt is genius, the apps are horrible and bugged
For some workouts, the tickr x is quite inaccurate. Like squat, even if i stand still, the app will continue to count. Another suggestion, if we can monitor heart rate during exercise, it will be great
I am a Wahooligan (Wahoo fan) and not an exercise physiologist. I'm looking for a good way to recover and increase strength (particularly upper body and core) after being hit by a car 4 months ago and compression fracturing L1 and T12 vertebrae. I think this is the ticket! It's as tough as you want it to be. I got aerobic throughout and pushed the muscles to their limits. Nice!
I didn't realise how unfit I was until I tried this! Thought I was pretty average and that this would keep me in shape - this is a little more difficult even though it looks easy - and that's great! Exactly what I need to get back to a fitness level in comfortable with.
Upgraded for pro version, but I don't see any changes, doesn't seems to be working, and didn't manage to get a refund. Very disappointed.
I used the app once (meh, but worked fine), but why would a workout app need access to my phone calls and my media/files? This caused immediate red flags.
I'm legitimately tired. Perfect to get you back into a routine of working out. At just 7 minutes, it's a small commitment to start with.
I just completed my work out and I'm sweating like crazy but it's worth it because I'll get skinnier and uts just awesome

On the video promoting this app, it shows that you can see your heartrate and other data from the Tickr X but to my surprise this app did none of that. It didn't even allow me to export my workout's heartrate data to the Wahoo Fitness app. It also didn't allow me to save the reps of each exercise so I can compare my progress over time. The website also mentions that will help you achieve the perfect form, which it did not do. This app is a huge disappointment so I really want Wahoo to fix it and make it better.
