About SILSA
In the year 1986 the SOUTH INDIA LORRY SUPPLIERS ASSOCIATION was came in to existence to protect develop and encourage the spirit among the members so as to develop. a sense of unity among the lorry suppliers agents, owners and with a view to safeguard and defend their legitimate rights privileges to improve and develop their business.
In the year 1986, South India Lorry Suppliers Association was formed with Mr. K Krishna Murthy the First President and Mr. Siraj Ahmed Khan was the first General Secretary and with a handful 25 members formed the association. The Association was recognized by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
In the year 1992, under the President Ship of Mr. K.Krishna Murthy and General Secretary Sri Syed Faiyaz Ali SILSA has been revised and expanded its functions.
In the year 1997, Mr. K.Balan Nair became the President and Syed Faiyaz Ali General Secretary of the Association inducted more than 100 new members and took the association to new heights and made SILSA to affiliated with ALL INDIA MOTOR TRANSPORT CONGRES (AIMTC), A.P. LOORY OWNERS ASSOCIATION (APLOA).
To-day SILSA has spread its wings and is one of the premier Organization in the circle apart from not only south india lorry suppliers but North, East and Western lorry suppliers are members of SILSA today and more than 200 members are registered with the association.
SILSA is now acknowledged with a powerful voice of lorry suppliers with their slogan “UNITY IS STRENGTH”
To Organize and unite all lorry suppliers, agents, owners, whether individuals, partners or companies or similar Associations into one Central Corporate Body for the Hyderabad to watch, Protect, safeguard, guide, their commercial business interest in general and in the welfare of the members of the Association in particular and to effectively represent their hardship and grievances as also to express their opinion on any matter affecting their business interests and to represent on their behalf to the State Government, Central Government, concern authorities or to any executive or legislative or any other public body.
To Disseminate Knowledge or information through leaflets, periodicals or pamphlets about the modern scientific researches and the improvements effected in transport business with a view to improve their standard or service and raise it at par with the other developed countries.
To manage and eliminate various trade and operational difficulties experienced by the operators and to frame rules and regulation for the betterment of the members in their business transactions and operations.
To Compromise and settle disputes among the members of Association.
To maintain uniformity in the methods and standard of business as regards of freight and other charges, rules of conduct of business, etc. not only to prevent unhealthy competition among the members but also to bring uniformity in there matters.
