THE PEPTIDERGIC SYSTEM OF HUMANS AND ANIMALS AT PHYSICAL EXERCISE
SOLOVEV VB, GENGIN MT
This monograph is a reference and information tool, describing the role of regulatory peptides in adaptation to physical work.

A model of peptidergic system participation in the regulatory processes during physical exercise has been proposed. Significant differences in the functional status of peptidergic systems in athletes and people who are not involved in sports during physical exercise and rest were shown. The mechanisms of adaptive substitutions in the functioning of peptidergic systems in systematic exercise were established. The regulation mechanisms of the cytoplasmic peptidases activity in nervous tissue during physical exercise and under the action of peptides semax and selank were investigated. Was found that the mechanisms of biological action of new peptide drugs semax and selank is mediated by their effect on the enzyme activity of carboxypeptidases involved in their turnover. It was demonstrated for the first time that the administration of semax and selank increases physical performance of animals in experiments.
