By Road : Bada Malhera can be reached by road only from National Highway 86.

Railway stations :The nearest railway stations are at Khajuraho (95 km), Harpalpur (105 km) Jhansi (175 km), Mauranipur (105 km), Sagar (110 km) and Satna (190 km).

There is no large scale industry in Bada Malhera apart from a few small scale industries available, but these industries are not sufficient for giving enough employment for local people. The economy is mostly dependent on farming. The city however, has a growing private commercial sector, mainly retail businesses.
