About Are you saved
Christian Test, See if you are truly Saved.
All these questions will come from 1 John
John writes in Chapter 5:13
I have written these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life.
Let’s examine the things he has written and see if you are in the faith.
1. We have fellowship with other believers. 1 John 7 But if we walk in the light as He Himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.
2. If we are honest and confess sin and repent. 1 John 8 If we say, “We have no sin,” we are deceiving ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say, “We don’t have any sin,” we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.
3. This one is a difficult one for many have exchanged holiness for grace. We keep his commands. 1 John 2:3 This is how we are sure that we have come to know Him: by keeping His commands. 4 The one who says, “I have come to know Him,” yet doesn't keep His commands, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 5 But whoever keeps His word, truly in him the love of God is perfected. This is how we know we are in Him: 6 The one who says he remains in Him should walk just as He walked.
4. Stop loving this world and the things in this world. 1 John 2:15 Do not love the world or the things that belong to the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in him. 16 For everything that belongs to the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride in one’s lifestyle—is not from the Father, but is from the world. 17 And the world with its lust is passing away, but the one who does God’s will remains forever.
5. Confesses the Son, 1 John 2:23 No one who denies the Son can have the Father; he who confesses the Son has the Father as well.
6. Do you love Jesus? it is easy to raise your hand and repeat the sinner’s prayer, but do you love and trust Jesus? 1 John 4:15 Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God—God remains in him and he in God. And we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and the one who remains in love remains in God, and God remains in him. Do you proclaim Jesus as Lord?
7. Protect yourself from idols and idolatry. It is so easy to be caught up in this world and make an idol more important than God. 1 John 21 Little children, guard yourselves from idols.
