Adarsh Charmodyog Center has established in the year 1961, primarily to retain our traditional business of making leather kolhapuri chappals. This has been set up with twin objectives of live hood of our family and also to try and establish a good reputation in the domestic and well as international markets. Traditionally kolhapuri chappals are well known all over India for its comfort & design. Our efforts are towards providing well-deserved credit to the products. In our effort, we register ourselves with Small Scale Industry in the year 1968.

Adarsh Charmodyog Center has tried to preserve the art of making Kolhapuri Chappals, which has been passed on to us by our forefather. In the current 21st Century, world of modernization, there are various alternative and cheap products have flooded the market. This has become our profession unattractive to younger generation. The people are moving away from the profession.
The art of making leather chappals, articles which has already given identity in domestic as well as international markets, need to be preserved and passed on to younger generations. The need of hour is Government, NGOs and other development bodies required to work together and address their issues, provide all the assistance. Adarsh Charmodyog with our capabilities, experiences are well placed to impart training and uplift the downtrodden people/society and provide jobs to millions.
