الباراسايكولوجي ( بارا تعني ما وراء ) و ( سايكولوجي تعني النفس ) اي ما وراء علم النفس مما هو فوق العلم التقليدي او القدرات النفسيه التقليديه ، هناك مسميات كثيره لهذا العلم منها الخارقيه والحاسه السادسه والظواهر الروحيه والادراك الحسي الزائد .
