امرؤ القيس بن حُجر بن الحارث الكندي (520 م - 565 م) كان شاعرا عربيا جاهليا عالي الطبقة من قبيلة كندة، يُعد رأس شعراء العرب وأعظم شعراء العصر الجاهلي يُعرف في كتب التراث العربية باسم " الملك الضليل" و" ذي القروح".
