أَرِسْطُو( 384 ق.م - 322 ق.م ) أو أَرِسْطُوطَالِيس أو أرسطاطاليس فيلسوف يوناني، تلميذ أفلاطون ومعلم الإسكندر الأكبر، وواحد من عظماء المفكرين، تغطي كتاباته مجالات عدة، منها الفيزياء والميتافيزيقيا والشعر والمسرح والموسيقى والمنطق والبلاغة واللغويات والسياسة والحكومة والأخلاقيات وعلم الأحياء وعلم الحيوان. وهو واحد من أهم مؤسسي الفلسفة الغربية.
