My Verizon for Android
For some reason since a month ago the icon AND also when I open app it says I am using pay as you go data and that I used up all my data, and if I want more data. This is wrong as I do have plenty of data left, please help. But when I open app and click on menu then data hub it shows that I do have enough data. But when I close app it still says I ran out of data and I'm using pay as you go data.
Widgets! What happened to the widget choices? All I want at a quick glance is the actual percentage of data used. Now it's an extremely tiny line text (on a screen that doesnt allow you to zoom in). I need the at-a-glance percentages, please!!
I can't find the Device Tab or the Device Health Check since the last 2 updates. It eliminates all temporary files with the push of a button. Is Verizon Wireless shortchanging the prepaid customers again? Are we supposed to just take it when we prepay for our phone service in advance the old-fashioned way?Where did it go? Also, Does not save space by moving to SD card! ☹
Started getting unwanted push notifications. No way to turn them off. The way the data usage is presented is so confusing, makes you wonder if Verizon did this on purpose to cause people to overuse so they can charge us more.
I don't know about your verizon ...but my verizon is kind of unpleasant... This app needs too many permissions. It was awful before, but now it's "all new" for a "new plan" ...what do you mean new plan, did you change my plan AGAIN without asking? I hope not. (Edit: Ok so that is two updates that are supposedly 'all new'. As far as I can tell each iteration is the exact same... Intrusive, useless, bloat/MALWARE...)
Not with this app, but Verizon in general. All the damn video buffering is too much. I can't even enjoy Hulu or Netflix anymore. This company has totally lost me. I pay for unlimited data, but I am throttled to hell and back. Enough is enough.
Still hides any useful information (like unlim plan does not allow hotspot use and data usage details) and no longer shows data remaining in GB in widget. Also don't see any info on this so called rewards program. I am annoyed that I had to use my data to download it to only be disappointed. Uninstalling.
It's very helpful. I can go to my Verizon app and 9 times out of 10 I'm able to get the answer to my question, or questions. I love this app. It's been extremely helpful to me. Thank you for such a GREAT app. Couldn't ask for a better app. Thanks again, Angela Smith
GARBAGE!!!!! So now in order to use this app I MUST!? Sign an agreement to receive mobile advertising!!!???? No thank you i get enough spam in my email account I will NOT get it randomly on my phone. BTW for those who didn't read the fine print, this means you give permission for random adds to pop up on your phone!
Latest updates to the app have made it useless for most transactions. Auto Pay information doesn't match between App and website. Trying to re-enroll in Auto Pay failed in the App with an odd message. Trying to check my next Auto Pay gave incorrect tax amount. They have turned what was a mostly usable app into something that is almost completely useless. Very poor update.
To many updates and don't let you do half the things you need to. So you end up calling and and talking to a non English-speaking person anyways. This after having a deal with an automated thing for 20 minutes first
Used to be good app, but Verizon has ruined it. I don't appreciate being forced to update before i can check my data usage or pay my bill. I do not want to be a part of the Rewards program, yet there seems to be no choice. Customer service said they could do nothing when i called.
Screw this app, the old way it was set up was fine. Now it won't even let me pay my bill from my credit card. So, now I have to drive an hour to town to the nearest store that sells a damn verizon card since the app insists "City should only contain characters or space"!!! I haven't changed a setting on it and now I'm being told that it's wrong. Verizon, yall suck at keeping customers happy.
I hav an Android (Galaxy) & one of the many reasons not an iPhone is I don't approve of 'forced' updates. Leave the choice to the paying customer. Software updates should not be mandatory. Always allow backwards compatibility to those who wish not to add more intrusion & data onto storage, particularly when the prior UI was fully sufficient.
Terrible after update. Stuck at loading screen after launched. Wouldn't let me close press in back button. Scaling down my data from 2gb to 500mb unacceptable. I'm switching to a different carrier..
This revamp is total garbage. It was simple and useful. Now to get to things there are several extra steps since it starts off on a useless homepage. I see myself downloading an older apk.
I like Verizon,but this app is absolutely terrible! For the past few months,after I pay the total balance of my bill,it will say my bill is past due or that I owe a new additional amount very,very frustrating and every time I tell a verizon representative,they apologize and say it will be fixed,but then still happens over and over again. Fix that defective app verizon!
Wow, maybe Verizon is going to stop treating prepaid customers like second-class citizens. Maybe they have finally realized that we don't want no stinking contract. Maybe they have finally realized that we pay on a regular basis just like those who have a stinking contract. The app actually does little for its size. I am sure that it contains spyware as now they can sell our browsing information thanks to those in Washington DC.
It's nice but can be difficult to get the information you want with ads or other stuff that pops up in the way. I like to keep track of my data usage and sometimes I can't even get to it when there's an offer to switch device or whatever.
I don't like the way my data usage is displayed now. I don't want to know how much I have left. I want to know how much I have used up(in text and on the dial). The GB amount should be bigger than the percentage. The amount should have three decimal places. There is no way for me to customize how my data usage is displayed. Not everything needs to be "streamlined." Streamlining really means taking away vital information(ex. no longer showing on the paper bill how the taxes and fees breakdown by line. I didn't update for over a year due to the permissions requested. I got along just fine. I only updated to have access to the new rewards program that is stupidly only available through this app. Add the way data usage is displayed and limited access to the rewards program to the list of unnecessary changes.
The app is very difficult to use. When I tried to sign on, it continuously told me it was the wrong password so I contacted support and all they would give me is info on how to set a password.
I THINK IF VERIZON COMES THROUGH RIGHT NOW FOR ME.... WELL ITS A DONE DEAL.... IM USING THEM ALL THE WAY !!!KEEPING ME CONNECTED ALL THE WAY AROUND!!!! AN ILL TRY MY BEST TO MAKE THEM THE 1 OF THE BEST OUT THERE ... IF NOT THE 1 AN ONLY!!!!
Worst app on my phone. With the new update it always ask for me to get a new pin but you can only get one every 24 hours. Pretty much useless now. Thanks Verizon for making your easy to use app into something that us no longer useable.
This app is almost as bad as their website. You would think a "tech company" would have a web presence that didn't feel like it was from 1999 and work like it was on AOL dialup. Yuck.
Ok app, however does not sync with Verizon as far as payments. Multiple payments come out at once, autopayment does not disable when you turn off. Have to call to ensure your changes are correct, so it's a waste unless you enjoy giving away money.
It's now usable. My new problem is with payment methods. I am asked to name them, which is helpful, but the names of checking accounts do not appear when you view payment method options. This is unhelpful.
I wanted to keep my account/app the way it was, without the latest update, but verizon FORCED me to update if i wanted to see my account information. The app itself is fine, it's verizon actions. I think it's time to move on. Right now, i'm tooo angry with verizon
I love this app!! Verizon, just stop being so damn expensive. You should be a bit more reasonable, at least with customers that have been with you 20+ years.
My app legit never works...worked one time right after I got my phone but now it always says out system is unavailable please retry...and I can't take it off so it really sucks
The app I see in the photo is NOT the app I get when I download it. And there is NO Verizon up link in the menu. It's literally a different app than what's showed. Very detailed and utilitarian. Something smells here.
Good app but why do they need location data even when the app isn't in use. Too intrusive AND WON'T ALLOW ME TO GIVE 3 STARS! Wow
Some recent update borked auto-pay info. Doesn't save after closing session and doesn't match website. Will be five stars once fixed again
Awesome app, EXCEPT.... When paying an amount different than the total, after you type in the amount you want to pay then enter your card info, it changes the amount back to the total amount. PLEASE FIX THIS ISSUE ASAP!
Forcing me to update google play in order to get access to my verizon account information seems almost ilegal. Especially in light of recent public mistrust of google and youtube because of increasing censorship and clear leftist political bias. If verizon wishes to be associated with this then they should not be surprised when i drop them and move to another provider and recommend family and friends do the same
You suck. How convenient is it that when I am setting up a payment date that the service suddenly drops and just as suddenly reconnects to even suddenly accept today's date and not 7 days later.
Download so they can charge me for data. No option given to not install so i am forced to pay for someting i dont want. Second time they have done thi and it is really against my rights as a consumer. Junk updates I don't need but I am forced to
This is going down one star each month. The problem has not been fixed. My Verizon no longer recognizes my device nor remembers who I am. To check in, it asks me a security question I never remember giving an answer to. So, I can't check in, nor create a new account. FIX IT VERIZON. NOW!!
The upgrades are getting annoying. Nothing changes but the visuals. Its an app to pay the bill, it doesnt need to be pretty.
I set auto pay up and was expecting it to auto pay my bill but it never told me that it would start on my NEXT month's bill. So I got charged a late fee for not paying on time. But other than that the app has been easy to use.
