Westword for Android
Forced to update to latest version (which worked fine). New version doesn't EVER open or load ANYTHING. Uninstalled.
Very unimpressive!
Opens random websites and tries to get me to install other apps and games in the play store.
There is no functionality. No saving, bookmarking, notifications. These would be super helpful. I can send myself a link..
Has become unusable with the amount of ads being opened up. It's constant.
North Korea approves as such. Westword is glorious above all other literatures in the graces of Denver.
I love Westword, born and raised in Denver. I love the emails I get with upcoming events so thought I'd use this app to get more info on demand. The filtering is buggy, and most events seem to be yellow page listings of companies; not events at all! (and why are most events at 4:00 am?) Dial that in and I'll reinstall and click some ads to keep the lights on. Oh, and maybe consider renaming "Calendar Events" to "Events Calendar", yeah?
To many stories require too many click-throughs to follow lists or stories, probably to boost click counts for advertising. Uninstalled.
It is basically the spirit of Denver.
This app has great potential, if only for the reason The Westword has the best content for the Denver area. Sadly, the content is painful to access through their terrible UI. The Android menu button serves no purpose, concert listings don't list dates, the content menu is lackluster. It just feels half finished and completely unpolished.
I have lived in Denver and nowadays I float in and out of town a couple of times per year. When away, I miss checking out Westword. No more though, this app hooked me up. The interface is easy and fast. I like it.
The calendar could use tweaks, like don't include daily happenings at top of search results. Also needs to have access to the voice deals, which still doesn't have Android app... Why?
Calendar filtered by date on food and drink category does not filter right, no results found
Keeps force closing!!! Grrr
I enjoy the app very much except for getting in to some articles only to find them cut off mid-word. Frustrating!
Really want to use this app..but no Ask a Mexican. No savage Love. It feels like a summary of the magazine. Might as well just use my browser instead and see the real Westword.
Weak app. Doesn't even load most of the time. Clunky. A waste--don't download this
Great local app

the interface is easy and I can always find something I want to do way faster than with any other app. indispensable if you're a denverite
Keeps me up on things I would otherwise miss in denver!
I love this app, lets me know what's happening around the city!
This is the best I've found for finding interesting events. It seems to have intelligence in its priority of listings.
It's ok. Wish there was a panoramic view. Nearby tab doesn't work. HTC Thunderbolt.
Great app
Good idea poorly executed

Every site app w an event search function should be able to filter date AND distance. This app has no way to do so ... forcing you to scroll either through every location for that date.... or every date for that location. The oversight of this is really disappointing.
