Proximity Fix

I actually searching for Proximity Sensor fix on many websites and found a solution using Xposed. But now, I'm using Android Lollipop and Xposed doesnt support ART yet but actually found this app. And guess what, it actually helps me! Now I can make calls without any sensor interruptions. Big thanks to you :D

I am shocked, for weeks I thought it was broken but the app fixed it in seconds. My phone would be black when I made a phone call but the image returned when in front of a lightbulb. So try this to see if its a hardware problem before opening. Thanks again so much!

Great app. Worked perfectly on my Galaxy S4 running gpe Lollipop 5.1. My proximity sensor was stuck on so screen went blank during call and wouldn't reset without reboot

This app simply does not open (after being granted permission). To double confirm it did not work, I checked the sensor status and it read "near". Not "far". Not "disabled". The proximity sensor is still running and running FALSELY.

I cracked the top right corner of my screen, and that made the proximity sensor not work as it should. This app fixed the problem just as promised! -Five stars

It fixed my sensor.... I can't understand how but it just did. Such magic ultra awesome thumbs up for you mate. And to others.... I also use lollipop 5.1. You need to root your phone before trying to fix the sensor

Not sure if there isn't a menu but it was granted root access. App never opened and issue was not resolved of screen blacking out during a phone call. I'd love to have the same success as the rest of people using this app though.

I have tried so many apps to fix my gs4 proximity sensor but none of those ever worked! I finally found this app that saved me from black screen during calls! and it even worked in Lollipop! I should find this app sooner! Oh BTW you need your phone rooted to use this app.

I would love to give this 5 stars. But sadly for my CM12 GT N7105, the app fails to start :( Still black screen during and after all calls for me. Looking for something to kick.

Good application, but when ı fixed the sensor ,everything is ok. After reboot, same problem happen. ıs there any permanent solution even if rebooting?

This is a scrap, i have downloaded it to fix my proximity sensor on s4, once i open this app it shows onscreen massage amd voice prompt that " your proximity sensor has been fixed" but nothig fixed.. dont know what this app has fixed.. beware to download such apps

Samsung Galaxy S4 user here (CyanogenMod user). This is a very common problem among this device's users (just Google "Samsung galaxy s4 proximity sensor issue"). I tried blowing though the ear grill, which seemed to work for most users but it didn't for me. I was very sceptical before using this app, but it worked immediately! Great job!

2 months of dealing with my screen going blank when I make or receive calls, ran this app once. Fixed. Perfect (gear cyanogen mod 11, various dialling apps)

Issues with my proximity sensor on my Note 2 started about a year ago. Thought it was a hardware issue. Phone has been back to Samsung, wiped, flashed, reflashed with no success. And then this little app fixed it in a matter of seconds!

I've been doing everything I've found... From cleaning hardware to complicated manual calibration of which I know sheet... And then TA DA DA DAA (open treasure chest zelda sound)... For the Cyanogenmod 12 Lollipop on Note-II proximity sensor seems malfunctioned, however this thing works like a charm. No more black calls !!

I usually don't waste my time writing reviews but this one deserves an award. Was thinking of going back to stock ROM then I found this. Works on CM 12.1 on (Galaxy s4). For those who's saying nothing is happening when clicking the app, you first need to (enable root access for apps). Go to about phone > click build date and number 10 times then go to developer options > click root access and select apps only. Open Proximity Fix app, a pop up will appear, then restart your phone. Voilà. You are welcome

I have the same problem as others with my s4 (i9505) on CM12.1, where the screen turns black during calls. The app seems to help: now I get the call screen to turn on sometimes, although not always. So thanks, it's improved my life

Always thought my phone had hardware issues till I googled this app, worked for only incoming calls though. Will give it 5 stars if it worked for outgoing calls

I installed this by reading the below reviews but it didn't work for me. I tried this on two different phones running lollipop 5.0 and 5.1. ***It didn't even start and also caused my phone to restart which didn't happen before. Maybe there is a serious compatibility issue.

Holy crap! I've been battling with a sketchy proxy sensor on my Nexus 4 for over a month and eventually gave up on trying to do any form of phone calling without a headset plugged in so I could end calls. I installed this and 2 seconds later I could call my voicemail and finally use the IVR again! I honestly cannot believe how quick and easy this was. I am curious how it actually works though, does it turn down the sensitivity of the sensor, turn it up, make it disable and enable on the fly based on accelerometer, or what? All I know is this is possibly the best quick fix I have ever used.

Solved my problem on Samsung Galaxy S4 running Cyanogenmod 12.1 with screen turning off on all incoming calls. Cleaning the proximity sensor itself didn't help, but this app fixed it!

I've been annoyed by my messed up proximity sensor for a while now. Tried a manual fix but the default state was so out of whack that it didn't work. This app seems to reset the proximity values back to something sensible and fixed my problem of not being able to use the screen while in a call; had to pull the battery to hang up! Thanks so much, this app is great and doesn't even require any permissions to run (aside from root).

It's really easy to do this manually if you know how to use the root shell, but this app is a great one-click solution. Please remove the Google TTS dependency though, you can use android.speech.tts.TextToSpeech and let Android decide which TTS engine to use (why does this app even need to speak?).

My phone would not allow me to hear or speak during phone calls because it wasn't detecting my face as I placed it against my ear. After running the app, its all working now.

I was looking at ripping the phone apart and cleaning the physical sensor. Then, I saw this app. I'm still in shock that this worked. I suggest donating to this dev. if you can afford it.

Read developer comments: Phone has to be Rooted for this app to work!! I'm running Lollipop 5.1 on Cyanogenmod nightly v.12.1. Phone is a Samsung GT-19505 and this black screen during calls was driving me nuts. My phone is rooted so I tried the app before I went through the hassle of changing calibration settings etc in developer mode. It worked instantly and is still working, I'm very happy. Great App!!

For the solve problem firstly install proximity auto Lock and enable it and them run the proximity fix but noted that you are enable root permission.... And its very cool app..
