Alarm Clock Plus(NoAds) for Android
Love the ability to set so many alarms. Very useful. And the icon widget is so elegant. Very nice features. Super nice! Still loving this app. And 6/2016, 1 year later, still loving it. 1 yr and 9 months later 3/2017 still the best. 2 years and 1 month later, 3rd times the charm 7/2017. Just stop asking me to rate it! Or I swear I'll give you 1 star for this paid for app!
I love this app! I like the gentle increase. Update: That's what I said years ago... And it's what I said until about two days ago. I now have a Samsung Note 8, and suddenly my alarms are not going off at all. I sent a message to the developer, and after two days of not hearing anything, and still no alarms going off, I had to go find another alarm app, which it turns out, I like even better. Alarmy. It's a bummer Alarm Clock Plus (no adds) didn't listen to a longtime, paying customer.
This is the app by Binary Tactics, LLC and it is the best, most versatile alarm clock app I have ever used. Very happy to have purchased it. The only problem I have had is when it occasionally will not turn off when I hit "dismiss" too fast, or something. (I use math to dismiss entirely.) Then I have to force a shut down of my entire phone to turn off the alarm!!
Best alarm app! I liked it enough to pay. A lot of great features. My wish list: 1. To get weather announcement to work 2. To be able to dismiss upcoming alarm in notifications (like google clock does) 3. Status bar icon showing there is an alarm set. 4. Voice dismiss... to say a word to silence or snooze alarm. Perhaps stop, OK or dismiss, also snooze... Used on Samsung S6 Android 7.0.
Used to be absolutely fantastic, but now the alarm just doesn't go off on my new phone, I think something to do with deep sleep. I've tried everything I could find online to fix this, but apparently something needs to be fixed by the developer I believe. An alarm clock app has one job, and this no longer does it! Fix the issue!
Up through Lollipop, it was the best. Was great, but... GS7/G4/N7/Android 6.0+, doesn't work without the phone plugged in. Doesn't wake out of 6.0's DOZE feature. ***To get it to work when not plugged in, create a short silent alarm on the stock Android alarm clock app and set 2 minutes before ACPlus to wake the phone. Yes, you then have to set 2 alarms, but all others suck in functionality compared to this app*** also, getting asked to rate the app that hasn't been updated in 5 years is awesome.
Well thought out app. A pleasure to buy and use. As well as the highly customisable alarms, I really like that it doubles as a clock. Be nice if it could be flipped to digital. The option to choose various icons is well thought out. I like the snooze one; I can use it at work to get my off my ar☆e every now and then. Aha! Another idea for this - for it to work as a computer users prompt to get up and stretch out walk around every 90 minutes. Research now shows this extends life. Yay!
Love the math feature - the only thing that's been able to wake my brain up on time! UPDATE: Have been a happy user for years, but since getting the Note 7, it's stopped working consistently. Alarm simply won't go off when it's supposed to. It's a shame. Hope they fix soon...
I love this app. When I purchased my S4, the alarm that came with it did not have most of the features I loved from the stock Galaxy Nexus clock. This alarm clock adds back all thoses features and more. I can now set the clock to come on when it is plugged in and tap the screen to change colors and dim. I also love the added feature of the gentle increase in alarm volume. This app is highly customizable. Great job.
What can this do that the default can't? *Save new-alarm default settings! No more accidentally vibrating alarms! *Add a quick countdown for a nap alarm! *Turn off just the next alarm, so you won't oversleep the morning after a holiday. *Disallow snoozing! (Plus some jiggery-pokery for people who like snooze-alarms or sometimes turn off alarms in their sleep.)
This is a very nice, full featured app. The best alarm I've found. Very customizable with loads of features. You can turn off alarms instead of delete, skip the next alarm, repeat alarms on given days, have different sounds for each alarm, snooze or not, etc. There is a"nap" function that will auto delete after the alarm goes off and is stopped. There is an independent volume control that is the loudness you choose regardless of the phones volume. You can't go wrong with this app!
Love that I can set many alarms to remind me to take meds ect... has never failed me! Also like the math to dismiss! Makes me think instead of mindlessly hit dismiss. The spoken time is cool, too! Wish you could incorpoarate the extra volume available on the S5 music volume as even at top volume on ringtone setting the alarm can be fairly quiet. I solved this by using my bluetooth speaker and now my alarms blast!
Would be 5 stars, and i will changeto 5 staes, when all of my alarms work again. Been usingit for three years with no issues, but this mounth some of my allarms started not working. Put an e-mail in to get help. we will seehow long it takes to get a responce. Months later and still no response. Downgraded to 3 stars and sent another e-mail. 5 stars again, they upgraded my phones rom and that fixed it. I never got a response though.
I've used this alarm for years; on my fourth phone, I believe. I used the free version for a couple of years, and finally decided it had earned its keep and have never regretted that decision. There are so many options, and settings, it's hard not to make an alarm that suits your needs. Unless the developers really screw this app up, I don't think I'll ever use anything else.
After seemingly endless alarm clocks this one does it! Multiple alarms, a fast and easy timer, widgets, sleep timer with custom or pre-set minutes or hours. Affordable and easy to use. The alarms are simple to set. This is now my default alarm clock. Stop looking and start using this one. Hands down the best full featured alarm clock.
It's been a great and very reliable alarm for the 6 years I've used it. But! I think it needs an update since it's been just over THREE years since the last one!! I've never wanted nothing more and no less but IT NEEDS TO BE BROUGHT INTO THE FUTURE, even though for me, it still all works fine.
Wicked good alarm clock! Mad amount of options and features make this alarm clock rock. I no longer have to set two alarms to make sure I wake up. Thanks to the math for dismiss/snooze option I no longer worry about unknowingly shutting the alarm off! I wish the personalize options for font and color were a bit more descriptive and distinguishable from one another. Rite now its a guess as to what your making changes on. Regardless killer app! Thanks! )-(
It is a good alarm clock, able to set multiple alarms, plus has a nap feature, easy to use, good alarm app. One of the few I have bought. Reliable for set alarm to wake me up. Cons: No way to change background colors or pics. Gray snooze and dismiss buttons and no way to change color. Developer seems to have dropped any updates or new features since 2012. However, it is a very functional alarm.
I really like this app as the alarm clock. Just a heads up to those updated to Marshmallow that you need to be sure you turn off the doze/battery optimization of this app under settings->battery->batter optimization or else your alarms won't work (assuming your phone sits still while you sleep and therefore your phone goes into doze mode).
Great alarm app. Does exactly what I want an alarm clock to do. Suggestion for the developers, though: upgrading to the paid version was more of a pain than I thought it would be. Nothing terrible: just backup my old settings, uninstall the free version, and import my old settings back into the paid version. But since both vers had the same name on my phone, removing the right one was more difficult. So, automating the upgrade would have been better. But it's still a great app, happy to give it 5 stars.
This app is customizable and will suit anyone. It's just perfect! I like the test feature and the spoken time and weather features. It's really dependable and reliable. I've used it ona variety of devices and had zero issues: HTC EVO 4G, Samsung Tab, and then Samsung Galaxy S4. I'll be sure to download it again for any future devices! TIP: Remember to ensure your media volume is raised for the alarm to work.
UPDATE: All sound is lost on Nexus 4, still works on 2012 Nexus 7. I'd really love it if I had the option to delete multiple alarms at once. Other than that I love the customization of the alarms and range of dismissal options. Secondly, when at the first page/screen of the app on devices with no dedicated menu keys I have to take an extra step to get to the options. Thirdly, I think it'd be awesome if I could sync my alarms across devices.
I tried a couple different alarms and like this one the best by far. It is really nice to be able to change all the colors and the brightness of the numbers. I have one mode set up for night time and the red letters are so faint you can only see them in the dark. No more bright alarm clocks. You can manipulate the sounds, the voice alerts, alarm times on different days, naps, and weather. it is truly a customizable clock.
This is the best alarm clock ever! Lots of useful features and easy of use. However, once the phone is updated to Marshmallow 6.0, the alarm will no longer work unless you have touched the phone in the last hour. Which means a morning alarm will not go off. This has been an issue in forums since the release of Marshmallow 6.0 and I am hoping Alarm Clock Plus is working to fix the issue with the alarms not going off anymore.
I've been really happy with the app. Works well, multiple alarms, plenty of settings for each. Really like the feature that allows me to wake up to a song that the alarm gradually increases the volume for. Well done. Still wish Android could tie the alarm to turning on the phone at a set time. Only once did I have a glitch: After hitting snooze this week the app forced a close and turned itself off. Only problem I've had.
This is a LOUD app and has gotten me up very reliably. I am a sound sleeper so this was a great app. This week however when I dismiss the alarm the notification and app disappear as normal but the phone keeps alarming. Had to restart the phone yesterday and was able to get the alarm to stop by forcing all open apps to close. I would like to see this app go back to the way it was- perfect.
Update March 2016: The app appears to have been abandoned by the developer. Does not play nicely with with Marshmallow +. The alarm doesn't go off reliably anymore. Too bad too, because this was easily the most customizable alarm app on Android. Changed from 5 stars to 1 so others don't miss alarms. (If the app is later updated, I will update this review to reflect that). Original Review: Great alarm clock app! Tons of options, very reliable.
This clock is the best alarm clock I have ever had on my mobile. The best feature is the massive snooze button. it can be pressed without even looking at the phone which is so handy in the morning and the dismiss button is just small underneath the snooze button. The paid version costs pennies and really is with the money. It gets rid of the ads and supports the developer. Great work!
Was my favorite alarm clock app for years. Still a very nice app, but really looking old fashioned. Has development stopped? Would love cloud based syncing/settings transfers a la Timely. Updated graphics would really fit such a stable app.
When I had the free version I never had problems with my alarms not working. But ever since I got the brilliant idea that I didn't want to be bothered with the ads and paid for the app I have had several of my old alarms not work. Although, the newly created alarms seem to work just fine. This is all quite weird since my alarms from the free version did not transfer over to the paid one. I will see how things go once I delete the old ones and redo them again. If they work, I'll change my rating to 5 stars
I'm not a morning person at all, and this app demands that I wake up with my alarm instead of blindly snoozing it. I love it. Simple to use, and super handy! My only complaint is that I've noticed issues with the alarm to launch app setting, such as using Pandora. For whatever reason, I can't get it to work correctly but I'll give it the benefit of the doubt as I've only had it for a few days now and I'm still getting a feel for the settings. TLDR: great features, test alarm if using "launch app" setting.
This is exactly what i am looking for. One thing-when i dismiss or snooze, the app unlocks the phone. I wish there was a way to reset the lock mode to the lock screen, if the phone was locked when the alarm went off. It would also be nice if you could set "X" number of future alarms at a set interval after an alarm is dismissed. However, the functionality that exists is excellent! 5 stars if you fix the lock screen issue.
Aha! Great app. Two things missing: 1. The backup/restore function should save/restore the settings, not just alarm schedule. 2. Alarm list needs to be sorted by their "next active" time; having them sorted by just their time value makes no practical sense. I.e. if I have a 6 am recurring/daily alarm and it's now 9 am, and I create a new 10 am alarm, that one should be at the top of the list, not the 6 am one.
Great improvement over the droid alarm and worth the couple of bucks but I wish it had more features - bear in mind that I'm a nut for details and extra capabilities. The test alarm button, which let's you check a particular alarm settings, does not work (on my phone). I do however recommend this app to anyone looking for a more capable alarm feature.
I love this app. It's the only app I've ever downloaded to wake me up. I'm having an issue with some alarms that are set to play music from my device. I turn off the alarm in the morning, and then seconds later it will continue right where it left off. Then, I have to restart the phone to turn off the alarm and then it's fine. I would really like to know how this can be fixed, as I have already uninstalled and reinstalled, and deleted and recreated the alarm and used different songs.
Still great, but the weather no longer works. This alarm clock has the best set of features without a lot of bloat. Unlimited alarms with lots of customization. Wake up Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 7 to hit the gym, 8 on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Wake up to music, loud alarms, or gradually increasing alarms. You get the idea. Well worth the 99 cents!!
I used the free version for a long time and never had any problems. Bought the as free version for two reasons. To show support that this is a great app and because I got tired of accidently hitting ad. Worth buying as free version. I have now used this app on a Samsung Galaxy note 3 & Motorola droid maxx. Still wonderful app!!
Been using this app for years with no lroblems but it's recently been having minor problems. It keeps resetting the alarm tone to a default unless I pick one of two cometely non-stock mp3s in my phone. It resets the tone to default if I pick anything else (stock or not).

I vote with others that want the alarms listed with the active alarms on top. I have several daily plus a few I use often and I hate having to scroll to the bottom for the afternoon. This is enough of a bother that I will consider using a different app or my native clock if it isn't fixed. Also, the alarm tone won't stay set to my choice. It keeps reverting to another I didn't choose. I want my alarms to have different tones depending on the reason. If the app can't work right, I'll lose it. HTC Sensation
