For a free app, it used to be a nice implementation of the ongoing vonage expectations. But since last update, I cannot call hear back anything when on call. Also every once in a while a completely valid number I am speaking with somebody every other day on regular calling would throw up as Invalid Number for no reason. Customer support here is non existent so don't bother even trying if running into issues.

The app works well for the primary functions that it's supposed to offer. I do see calls. I can get messages. The problem is that when we receive a call you will see a caller ID that shows a specific name , but when you go look at the history in the app it says "unknown". That has been a problem since we've had Vonage years ago and it has never been fixed.

L70%
by L####:

It follows me anywhere I go around the world and gives my friends and family a local number to reach me at. All I need is a decent internet connection (wifi or cellular) which is easily obtnaible almost everywhere. Plus with their international calling price plan, it allows me call almost anywhere at an affordable price

W70%
by W####:

Overall it's a pretty good app. It doesn't always ring when the house phone rings but that's not too bad. I do wish that there were an option to change the ringtone so that I could distinguish between home phone calls (that could be for anyone in my household) and my mobile calls.

C70%
by C####:

Very reliable after bug fixes and now happy with this app. Has also saved me a bundle, with added peace of mind, by using roaming booster data allowance to make lots of calls from the USA to the UK and not pay the mobile operator a penny extra. Should they choose to block Vonage then I'll swiftly move to another mobile services provider who doesn't. Shame it doesn't appear to block spam numbers (notably, the non-US version) so only four stars.

C70%
by C####:

Very useful to take your Vonage account on the road. And when your provider has bad signal, but you are somewhere where there is WiFi, it add another option to call. Anybody on Vonage should take advantage of the app. The only con would be that the speaker button is not as obvious as it could be. Should be an immediately available button, not take multiple clicks to get there.

App is nice easy to access vonage feature. But the most annoying thing is that the app always require a login. After finishing one call and after couple of hours if I want to make another call I have to re login with my number and password which is soooo irritating hope this will can be fixed soon.

by P####:

This used to be great, but now it seems I can't register it on my phone. It only works for UK and US numbers. As an ex-pat who wants to stay in touch with friends back home, this is no good. Sure, I have the box with a phone at home but that's no use out and about.

C70%

Shuts down everything else on my phone. Really unreliable app. Used to work better. But over the years it has become a pain to use this app. If I get another notification during a call, it goes haywire....

N70%
by N####:

If you use Business Essentials on your mobile as well the latest update (for home extensions) won't call out from Vonage home because it defaults to the Business Essentials app. So it's now useless. Basically you can't make all from your Vonage home number with your cell phone if you also use Vonage Business app on the same phone. Didn't do this before.

C70%
by C####:

Love Vonage extensions. Not only does it send me an e-mail voice mail if I miss a call, but it allows me to make calls that would be impossible or terribly costly on my cell phone.

C70%
by C####:

Voice quality is crystal clear. Only complaint I have is that the user interface is a bit clunky. Switching between using the speakerphone or the earpiece during a call takes three clicks, which is rather silly. It screams bad design.

C70%
by C####:

I have been trying to use this app for almost two years, but it fights me. I love that I my home phone gets routed to my cell phone, but it only lets me answer it maybe 1 in 10 times. The app will ring, come up on the screen, and then close. The phone continues to ring, but I have to quickly search for the app and reopen it before the caller hangs up or voicemail gets it. Also, even if the name or number is displayed when the phone rings, the history only says "unknown caller". A great idea that just doesn't work properly on my S4. I keep it because there isn't a better alternative, and I hope that it will someday get fixed with an update.

Installed this app on two different android phones and it doesn't work correctly. Must click Help at least 2-3 times, and then none of the links on the next page work. Waste of time and effort. Never shows any calls in the History unless the call has been answered, which is what I'm trying to avoid with unknown and or sales calls, which in turn means I cannot block the number. That is the only reason I wanted this app. BAD, BAD, BAD!!!

C70%
by C####:

Since I got the latest version, Bluetooth connectivity is not working. Calls to Singapore dropping and to use whatsapp call. To India call is breaking and poor quality.

Y70%
by Y####:

One extreme to another: this app used to be great and now doesn't even allow the logon to work. Now useless. Not sure what changed, but it was more than "bug fixes". I've been a Vonage customer for many years.

C70%
by C####:

Great idea and it worked great in the beginning, but lately not so good. Some calls I haven't been able to answer and it stopped working with my Bluetooth period which is definitely not good. Fix those issues and you have a fan.

Vonage Extensions in my oppinion is one of the better apps that I've used in a long while. The only problem I had was setting it up. After a few trial and errors I finally got it up and running. I'm still thinking about giving it a ''5'' But I need some time using it.

U70%
by U####:

I love Vonage and have been using it for 10+ years. Installed Extensions couple of days ago and hate to say that it's just not good. The call quality (international) is extremely poor. Hope it improves in future.

Love the app except there are no settings to turn off vibrate. I have all vibration turned off on my phone the Moto Z Force Droid and when I get a Vonage call the phone rings my default only sound and vibrates like crazy. The vibration is the most annoying and I tried telling Vonage this and they just don't listen. They should offer the ability to turn off vibration in the app. Update 8/2017:. Phone still vibrates with all vibration shut off on my phone. They just don't know how to fix it! Pathetic!

Great app. Only one issue I had. Had Bluetooth headset on while talking on a regular cell phone call, and when an incoming Vonage call came in, I answered but my Bluetooth was disconnected. Had to reboot phone to get Bluetooth to work again with Vonage.

C70%

Something is not working right. I cannot answer or ignore the calls with my Moto z Droid. It cause my phone to keep ringing even after the phone has been picked up at my house. It worked fine a few months ago.

C70%

I am loving Vonage. My phone is at my boyfriends house so when I come home I still get my calls on my cellular phone. Everyone tells me how clear I sound too.

A70%

In my case Vonage is very valuable to me, because I'm very far away from my family witch is the Philippines. Vonage is the only way we can communicate each other. Also you can used Vonage in the United States with the same price.

I have used the app when I was in the US and it worked great. But now when I have moved to Canada and trying to register my Canadian mobile number, it gives me an error everything that it cannot recognize the Canadian number. Seems like there is a bug where it automatically adds a "1" in front of the area code and it's unable to process the 10 digit mobile number. Can the developers please fix this asap? Thanks.

Still having problems in my condo despite using Vonage Extensions. It is clearly better than ATT service by itself but not any thing to write home about either.

W70%
by W####:

It used to be great. Operative words 'used to be'. With whatsapp phone and facebook messenger, this is definitely dated. The functions are also not as good anymore, neither is the call connection success rate.

C70%
by C####:

Design and functionality nice and convenient BUT call quality is quite bad when bandwidth is limited (e.g hotels on the road, when you need it most, 4G...). Whatsapp and Skype perform MUCH better in the same situation. A pity as this is useful to call regular business numbers.

C70%
by C####:

Shifting to Bluetooth once call is made. Just horrible. Switches back to hand set mode after couple of seconds. Other apps are not having that kind of problem when used with same phone and car.

C70%
by C####:

Still has significant delays in calls. So much so that each party talks over the other. Needs full duplex options and quicker hubs. I was on a 80mb connection and my caller on a landline

C70%
by C####:

Very useful for receiving home calls away from home (work, travel). We also used this app to make phone calls from our home number through our cell phones when traveling to Korea and Japan.

Y70%
by Y####:

Service intermittent. Many days nit use able at all. Not dependable app. Very frustrating

C70%
by C####:

Won't work. Keeps telling me the phone number or password is wrong. But both work when I login via the web. So yeah.

Y70%
by Y####:

I could call locally in my country with this app but, I don't know why when I call to another country me and person on the other side could listen each other . I mean not any voice could heard on any side. Then, I tried to call costumer care service but, same thing happens again . Nobody on both sides could hear anything. It is not because of unclear or anything but, total silence.

C70%
by C####:

The app is good for 5 to 10 mins call. If the call is for 30 mins or more..the call gets disconnected or hungup or other parties are not able to listen my voice.

C70%
by C####:

The equipment worked alright but the settings were confusing because it didn't use my settings. But the phone number was not vetted and I got dozens of calls each week for the old owner and dedicated recorded scam marketing calls. Vonage would not guarantee that a new number would be any better so I cancelled the useless service and was charged $98 for early termination. They recommended a service app called Nomorobo which cut off all calls after one ring. It didn't stop the call frequency.

C70%
by C####:

App does not work as smooth as other apps do. Bluetooth headset connectivity issues. There are lot of improvements required for customers to start using with full potential.

C70%
by C####:

Sometimes it breaks up and needs good bandwidth, but it works great for the most part. Edit 5/31/17: Sound quality has greatly improved and reliability is much higher. I'm happy with the improvements and am looking for additional refinements in the future.

V70%
by V####:

Works great most of the time. I love that it goes to my cell phone as well. My only complaint is the voicemail part of the app. It's clunky and slow.

C70%
by C####:

Great app, but you cannot edit the numbers from the right or middle, if they are copied & pasted on the dial pad, OR if they are pulled from the contact list. If you are abroad & want to call some in your contact list in your home country, the number not necessarily will be saved with full international code in the contact list. It makes it very cumbersome as you cannot add pre-fix to the number. You can only edit number from the right end, which is not very helpful really as if a number needs to be edited in most cases it will be from the left to adjust country/city codes depending on where your location is at that particular time. Just make editing number possible from anywhere like normal Android dialpad. A bit of an oversight from the developers i think. Hopefully someone will be reading this from dev team & pick up on this.
