About Voice Choice 2.0

Voice Choice 2.0 now includes Group Filters and Number Pattern Filters!

This has everything from our free Voice Choice app, with many improvements and extra features requested by users - for those upgrading from the free version, be sure to backup your list and then restore it.

So what can Voice Choice do for you?

You love using Google Voice, but you have certain numbers or contact groups you want to always call and text with your cell phone number. No problem, save those numbers/groups to your Direct Call filters and all other calls and texts will be made via Google Voice. Or, you can choose to set up Google Voice filters and all other calls will go through directly.

Why? Because then you can call only your business clients with your Google Voice number. Or maybe you've noticed Google Voice can't reliably send dial tones to those automated phone menus? Now you can call your bank, phone company, or other 1-800 numbers directly on your cell line.

Whatever the case may be, you can get rid of that extra popup before each call!

Extra Features not found in free version:

-Group Filters: specify gmail contact groups to be filtered - set it and forget it

-Pattern Filters: specify area codes or conference bridge numbers to be filtered

-Dial Through Google Voice: You can optionally teach Voice Choice to dial your Google Voice number, get through the menus and dial the number for you automatically. Good for those having issues with Google Voice not working with some phones/networks.

-Quick dial: Make a quick one time call to a number as though you had added it to your Voice Choice list. Simply add a '+' at the end of the number before dialing. Feature is off by default, see settings menu to turn it on.

-SMS (Android < 4.4): let Voice Choice automatically help you send text messages with/without Google Voice (no longer compatible with 4.4+ which is KitKat, Lollipop, Marshmallow, Nougat)

Outgoing works smoothly, but since install I'm not getting all notifications of incoming calls and messages. That's a problem.

Wish there was some way to distinguish calls from my corporate GAL as google voice. For contacts with grouping it works well

After I figured out how to set this up, it works well. In my situation, I want the default setting to use my cell phone number, with special numbers using my Google Voice number, which is the opposite of the default. You MUST set up the Google Voice app to send ALL calls through your GV number, EVEN if you want your default calls to go through your cell phone number. I know that this is the first step in the installation instructions, but as I wanted my default number to be my cell number rather than GV, I failed to set up GV properly during my initial config. Then, in Voice Choice 2.0, you choose to use your cell number as the default. I think what happens is that Voice Choice 2.0 becomes your dialer. When you make a call, it looks through the filters. If it's not filtered, it then runs your specified default dialer (Android in my case). If it IS filtered, then it sends it to the other dialer (GV in my case).

I previously loved this app for calling numbers that Google Voice deems as international but my wireless carrier does not (numbers in the U.S. Territories). In the last few months when the voice choice is active my ability to answer calls on call waiting is disabled. I get the same tone/beep notification that I have an incoming call but my cell phone's graphic interface that allows me to answer the call is disabled. So I have to hang up the international call and try to figure out who called me. There is no record of these calls on google voice. I only get a record of these calls if they leave a voicemail which is strangely routed to my main numbers voicemail system and not google voice voicemail. I use my cell for business and need to answer all calls. Please help.

This app is an excellent first step. I think this all could be even better if it let you assign different groups to use EITHER your Google Voice number or your cell number. And for any contacts/groups/numbers not assigned then it would ask you which number you want to call from each time. It's annoying that any random number you enter just defaults to your default choice instead of asking you.

Does exactly what it says it does. I've wanted this feature for a long, long time. I don't understand why this isn't built in to Google Voice. I use my work phone for both work calls (through the phone's number) and personal calls (through Google Voice). I previously had GV set up to prompt for each call which number to use. This caused voice dialing in my car to not work -- the prompt would abort the call. Now, with Voice Choice, I just need to set up which contacts are work contacts and everything is taken care of automagically. Beautiful!

I wish there a 3rd option to choose on the main screen. That is - Calling Card. Option 1 - Main number Option 2 - Google Voice Option 3 - Calling Card When I used this application, it was interfering with my Calling card manager application and hence couldn't use this successfully. I am still searching for an application, which can support all 3 options as described above. Thanks.

This app along with a couple of other apps that detect Conference Calls and dial them for me keeps me working all day long. I must use this 10 times a day! I don't know what I paid for this but it was well worth it!

After Android 5.1.1 update, this no longer works. Starts the call as it should then returns a "call not sent" message and calls using regular phone number. Quick dial option stopped working after Android 5.1.0 update. I paid for this app. Please fix it.

I'd been looking for a conference bridge dialer to bypass Google Voice. This app does that, and with 'patterns' lets me call into predefined bridges with ease. I do have a feature request though; please add an option for calls that *contain* a pause "," or wait ";" so I don't have to define ad-hoc patterns for my uncommon bridges. Keep up the good work.

Ability to call people in certain contact groups using Google Voice and others using my regular phone number without having to do anything differently regardless of who I'm calling is a huge convenience! Being able to dial people through Google Voice on the fly fight adding a plus sign or symbol of my choice is even better! Be aware that using the plus sign in this way might require you to turn off phone setting for smart dialing international numbers.

When I call with my Google Voice number to a person that I specified should receive my call from a mobile, the call is rerouted to my mobile as expected. However, when I text from my Google Voice number within hangouts, the text does not get sent from my mobile number. SMS/MMS & phone re-routing are equally important to me. This is supposed to work ! Are there plans to address this ?

I once loved VC, now my heart is broken. VoiceChoice is not working since I've update graded to KitKat. I'm getting the google voice popup for people i've grouped, and numbers not grouped I'm not getting the GV popup. What's going on.
