Enjoyable and necessary! ???? I haven't experienced any problems except for one minor thing: when I look up a new word I sometimes don't get the option to add the new word. I have to go to another screen and then try again. Usually only then does the option to add the word appears. Anyway, thank you for creating this great app! ????

A huge variety of words! I love the learning style of the game - seeing and using words in a number of contexts and even having to spell them. I love that one can choose what words to add to the learning cue. I wish it didn't require data or that there was an option to download material to use offline. Sometimes the contexts of words in the games or the examples are the most accurate. When looking up words the page showing the details of the word is sized to large for the window making it sometimes annoying to read and looking sloppy. Overall it is the best app I have found for variety of words and ease and enjoyment of learning them. I highly recommend it above all the others. Yes I have tried nearly all the vocabulary apps in the store.

DO NOT BUY THIS APP!!! The reason they don't offer a trial is because they want to avoid the low ratings they really deserve. They never update it and you can't add your own vocabulary. Totally insane! Get one of the many free vocabulary apps available where you can add any word you like.

Great! But please add this feature: There should be a provision of making sets/list with given time frame. This helps to play and thus revise words that we studied in a day/week/month. Else I don't see any way for a selective revision date wise.

Usually when I look up a word in a dictionary I forget it's meaning the second I look away. I also find that most definitions just don't explain the word in a descriptive enough for. Hence why I usually don't remember them. This app solves this though! I love how it tell you in simple for what the word means and how it can be used. I also love the example sentences. Such a great app. No regrets in buying it :)

Nearly perfect. The only thing it lacks is a transcription. For me it's the best way to learn how words should be pronounced (I don't like using the audio, although it would make perfect complement to a transcription) it makes me upset when I have to use other applications for that as there shouldn't be any need to do so. I hope it will change one day.

Initially I was having issue in Licence check failed... Money deducted but the application is not working...then I resolved by cleaning cache memory of play store reinstalled and rebooted my phone. It is working absolutely fine now. Superb app to improve vocabulary and memorize it through this amazing app

I was so impressed by website version that i decided to buy this app and to my great surprise i find out that you can't add words to your lists in the app. Without this feature the app becomes useless.In my opinion it should have been the other way around, you pay for the app and doesn't get all the features whereas you use the site for free and it has everything you need. Just add this feature to the app and not only would I give 5 stars but also recommend the app to my friends.

I did not enjoy this app. So many of the word associations and word usage really do not make sense. They give you an opportunity to give feedback on every single question but who has the time for that? I would rather have an app that is teaching me something new in a way that makes sense. Disappointing!

Awesome App.. It's worth your money. Just a short note for the developers. In spell it type questions. I am unable to rewrite a spelling. It's giving only one chance. Backspace option is not working. So can't delete a work which is written. Please resolve the issue and get 5 stars..

This is really an Awesome app to learn words. It doesn't tell you just the meaning but it incept a thought of that meaning in our mind. I am giving 4* just because I need two small bugs to be fixed on the interface and not the functionality. 1) The progress % icon is somewhat distorted. 2) It is not allowed to backspace a letter in spelling questions. Please resolve these two issues in the next update it so that it will become a perfect app & receives my 5*. Thank you.

By far the best dictionary app out there. I use it to look up unfamiliar words while I'm reading. The app gives you the option to "start learning this word," which adds it to the list of words the vocabulary game will quiz you on. It's an incredibly effective way to cement new words into your memory. The dictionary itself might be the best one I've ever seen. In addition to giving formal definitions and example sentences, it explains the word's meaning in a colloquial way. Great app.

This is one of the best apps which helps increase your vocabulary. The frequent usage of the words from different websites is indeed helpful. However, it would be more better if it didn't require internet connectivity for pronouncing words. A Google text to speech or any other default text to speech system engine is already available on all Android phones which would suffice (PS:no need to be a developer to know that). Also the words list that one is studying, if available offline will be more the merrier.

This app is the best vocabulary app that I've found on the Play Store. It has an impressive set of words and excellent features, like the ability to play and learn words. I cannot believe, though, that I'm unable to add words to lists in the mobile app. In my opinion, this nearly defeats the purpose of the app. It seems to me that it should have been an obvious function to include. It also seems very easy to fix -- I hope that you do, and soon. When this is fixed, I will rate your product with 5 stars.

Firstly, the dictionary part falls short on words. I noticed compared to other dictionary apps, that word definitions lacking. I would say every 10 words, 3 do not show. Unlike meriam or dictionary app. Also the tap to learn function which was number one reason I bought the app (as a replacement to flashcard function on Kindle) doesn't work on all words. A bummer. All in all nice cool app.

I love the app. Ever since I tried it I have been hooked! I love learning new words and equally important, how to effectively use them in conversation. This app does that with a comprehensive dictionary of words to keep me forever learning and improving. My only complaint is that not all words in the dictionary are playable in the word game, but we're talking about a small percentage. Also, when I inquired about this, I received a prompt response reassuring me that new words were being added daily.

A very good site of which I am a regular user. Was very happy to see an Android app for the same, which made life really easy. Now I can play on the move. But the app seriously needs improvement. Offline mode should be enabled. At the moment it requires net connection. I guess storing data locally temporarily should not be a problem. For checking out meanings of each word in this app I have to consume data. Also creating and editing word lists is not supported in this app. No feature to add words to existing lists as well. No user settings. Many words and idioms are not present. Downloading the audio pronunciations takes a lot of time. Also it is buggy. The app should be made free for all users.

I really enjoy the app. It's well made, good looking, easy to navigate, and fun. But their definitions are often pretty weak. I'd say I end up reporting even tenth question or so for double correct answers, no correct answer, and so on. I don't mind submitting feedback and helping them improve, but it seems a little over the top.

Enjoyable and necessary!

I approached it tentatively, only to be drawn deeper, almost compulsively, through its nooks and crannies. An irresistible learning lode, profound yet made easy to handle, and then some! And, this has become my last resort, when I am to get clarity of understanding English language. The more I use it for almost all my hunger to master it, the more it grows on you, becoming an addiction of sorts.

This app is an absolute must for vocabulary development. Every penny you pay for it is worth it. It teaches you words the same way as Norman Lewis teaches words in Word Power Made Easy. Only one drawback, I can't seem to add words from the app to my lists which is quite a nuisance. It'd be great if they add it next version. And that it is online dictionary, which is not super big an issue, but issue nonetheless.

I love this thing/ website! I can add words I've seen while reading and add them to my word lists. It's so lovely. Whether you have 2 or 15 minutes to kill, this is worth it. It gives you a word multiple times so you can't just guess right and move on. Mastery. Yes!

There are lots of things to like. It really nails the word and meaning to your brain. Somethings I don't like are, there should be an auto list history of all the words searched. There should be a feature to select and search on screen as now if I want to know the meaning of word on screen somewhere, I have to type it.

This app is genius for learning vocabulary. Definitions and examples are presented in such an accessible and memorable way. The play feature allows you to test your comprehension of the words and provides the repetition needed for retention. My only gripe is that I wish that you could use the play feature to study ONLY the words on your learning list and opt out of the addition of random vocabulary.

I love this app because it gives you easy to understand definitions. It also helps you learn the words. The only problem i have is while using the app on the phone you cant create a vocabulary list. But you can do this on your computer. If you guys could add that feature to the app that would make this a 5/5 app

The best apps ever to learn english. It helps me to master a thousnds of english vocabulary. I've suggested that vocabulary team build an apps for the website version and they did that. I'm not sure if they have strted when I told them that. The only missing in the app is being offline. I wish if they could make offline because sometimes I don't have access to internet and in that case I can't use.

I bought this app for my preparation of GRE. The most important difference between any dictionary and this app is that one can practice the questions after selecting the words of your choice. This makes learning so much fun. App still lags few of the basic features like editing the list etc.

It is the best app that I got for vocabulary but there are some serious bugs . Like 1. Not able to access the lists separately the app freezes when I open the list. 2. backspace key doesn't work while filling up words. Apart from this Kudos to the developers for such amazing app :)

I can't open any list. Application just stops showing we white screen. And doesn't react. Also when I spell worlds backspace button doesn't work. Could you fix these problems please? Or it's something wrong with my phone?

This app is really helpful for people who like learning everyday. There is a free website too but this app is much more handy. So, now if I am waiting on a long line or just getting bored, I start learning a few words or revising the old ones. This is especially helpful for people preparing for GRE.

It's a pretry good app and easier to use than the web page (no mobile version), but there are quite a few bugs for a paid app. E.g. you can't backspace on the vocab mastery spelling questions, occasionally the "Learn this word/progress on this word" banner doesn't appear unless you reload the word, and other weird transition edge cases

This is one amazing app(by the content). But one thing that is missing is the implementation of android intents. If there was some intent for word lookup, it would have been easier to highlight a word and find its meaning or better call it with Tasker

It's been very long since you gave us an update, the app really needs a revamp, the feature I most use is 'Start learning this word' when I search a word. But sadly, the option only appears for 3 out of 10 searches. The app is not intuitive altogether.(it's not a native Android app)!!

I use this to study for my PAX RN exam and for the ACT test. I like how it is a game format and you can get rewards. This is a blessing for me because I have been able to learn the most words from this app. The words that I'm learning are comparable to my study guides!

When someone explains to me why that is, or why one has to scroll back to delete a word instead of hitting an X, i'll change it to five stars. Sorry to be so harsh but this is the only app i've ever paid for so i expected more.

My only problem with this dictionary is that, it's not available offline. Otherwise, I don't think there's a better way to learn new words. The lists are amazing too. I can't see a way to make my own lists, so if that's not a feature, I hope it gets implemented at some point.

Writing this after two months usage : Must buy if you are really planning to improve Vocabulary The app has unique style of defining a word. explains the situation along with meaning. app puts each word on internal algorithm which helps in mastering the word. Cons: It should have categorized, words into levels. Level 1 - very basic words Level 2 - basic Level 3- above basic level 4 - below intermediate etc... People will have motivation. when passing levels else it will be like swimming in the ocean without setting the destination. It works only with internet.

Its more of a convoluted thesaurus than a vocabulary builder. Don't give me passages of literature without context and expect me to correlate it to some very loose, and often unrelated, summarization of of the meaning that doesn't capture the word's spirit. It basically has me thinking that whoever is in charge of making this app is creating disinformation with the meaning. Wish I could have done a trial on this before paying... I want my money back! Bah...oh well. Overall, I'm pretty underwhelmed.

Method A:The trick is to do not search for a word. 1.Type the word in the search box completely, don't select from suggestions . 2.Press back button once, to make on screen keyboard disappear. 3.Scroll down the word page, bottom you will find the "start learning the word" button. Method B: In the word page, if the said button is not coming, navigate to left/right page by swiping, and then swipe back to your page. Button will show up.
