About VMLite VNC Server

THE FIRST AND ONLY VNC SERVER WITHOUT ROOT REQUIREMENT

Our app supports Amazon Fire TV very well.

If you use cracked version, it simply won't work, so please do not rely on those testing results. Cracked version will silently quit without any messages.

VMLite VNC Server allows you to remotely view and control your android phone or tablet from a desktop computer or from another mobile device using the popular VNC protocol.

This app works on rooted and non-rooted android devices. However, for non-rooted devices, every time after turning the device completely off and on, you will have to connect your device to a Windows PC or Mac using a USB cable, then run a free desktop program, VMLite Android App Controller, to start the server on your device. Once the server is started, you can disconnect your device. If you don't turn your device off (but just let it "sleep"), then the server will continue running for months, if desired.

You can download our desktop program using this link:

http://www.vmlite.com/vaac/

If you can't start the server on your device, e.g., S3, Nexus 7/10, try to change to Camera Device(PTP), instead of Media Device(MTP).

FEATURES:

- no need to root your android devices

- supports WIFI and USB connections. Coming soon: 3G/Internet/P2P access from any firewalls w/o any configuration.

Fails on Nokia 6. - Installed Desktop client and everything. I am seeing my phone as storage, USB debugging is enabled, ADB (from the Google developers) is making contact just nicely. So the failure is in the app, not my setup.

Needs updated to work with Android 8, but it works wonderfully for me on every phone I tried it on. I am disabled and cannot use my fingers to operate my phone, so this allows me to log in from my PC and use my mouse and voice software to do everything I need. I can't thank the developer enough for this amazing app, and I would not be able to do half of what I can do today had it not been for this server. Just having the freedom to set my phone up by myself without trying to talk someone through what to click and what to touch what to type, it's unimaginable the access and control I have now. However, I don't want to be forced to never upgrade my phone, so I hope it gets fixed with Oreo soon (the only reason I can't give it 5 stars today)!

Used to work great. I ran this on a few phones over the last 2 years, and a recent update broke it. It now only displays part of the screen. I tried to contact the developer. 3 weeks and no response.

I've tried a number of free solutions which either worked poorly, or not at all. Finally decided to try this and it's great. Works exactly as expected with no problems

This truly is a $9.99 piece of s&^t, purchased 3/1/17 and now I get the 'apk tampered' error checked their forum for possible solution and that was a joke. as you have determined I am pissed about this app and getting only 2 weeks use. wasted $9.99. would I recommend this.........

B70%
by B####:

When it works it works well, but most of the time it gives me 'apk tampered' - another case of DRM harming paid users

U70%
by U####:

The new update broke this. You need to down load an older app for now.

O70%
by O####:

Always gives "Apk tampered please make a purchase." Waste of money

C70%
by C####:

Works great on all my devices but my main one which runs Nougat 7.0 EDIT: Latest updates adds 7.0 support but it force closes immediately when launching meaning that 7.0 support is useless

C70%
by C####:

Excellent. Did the non-root setup and everything went well. Easier to me because I already had adb working. Using UltraVNC, just perfect, minor tweaking. The HTML5 browser works just fine too, with Chrome. Use the VNCLight input method with your VNC sessions to preserve screen realestate while typing. Works just fine with Hotspot.

I believe it works well for other devices but not for my LG phone. Would like a refund, thank you.

C70%

Works flawless on Yoga Tablet 2 10" - 1050F, Lollipop 5.0.1. Price is a little steep but seeing it is the ONLY VNC server that actually works... It's only money. ;)

M70%
by M####:

This worked great until I updated to windows 10 and I had to reinstall the the software on my laptop. Unless I exclude the USB drivers the software won't install anymore and not having USB drivers is like not having a transmission in your car. Ended up "rooting" my Nexus 2012 and now there's no need to have the windows software installed.

Z70%
by Z####:

unfortunately root mode does not work for me on galaxy s7 on latest version. used to work fine before on other phones and app versions. now it is possible to conect after pc connection only

I was pleasantly surprised at how well this worked after getting over a couple of little humps. My tip in case you can't get it to work is this. Make sure that you have an ADB driver for your phone or else VMLite's desktop application will not be able to communicate with your phone, and then you will complain and write a bad review and try for a refund. In my case I have a Galaxy S7 and I had to download the Windows driver package from Samsung's website before I could get VMLite VNC working. I wish this had been covered in VMLite's instructions, because it's crucial. And when you connect over USB, target your own machine at socket 127.0.0.1:5901. Use the ScreenFilter app if you want to darken your phone's display when it shows on your computer monitor!

When this application works is great but when a new version of android is released I always seem to have problems. Currently trying to get it to work on a Nexus 9 with android 7 and keep getting the error Starting VMLite VNC Server on device ... VMLite VNC Server is successfully stopped on HT4BLJT02267. Starting: Intent { act=android.intent.action.MAIN cmp=com.vmlite.vncserver/.MainActivity } Warning: Activity not started, its current task has been brought to the front udp port:14321 Couldnt load library /data/data/com.vmlite.vncserver/lib/libvmlitedaemon-22.so, error: (null) Sendto: Try again Sendto: Try again Sendto: Try again VMLite VNC Server is successfully started on HT4BLJT02267. You can now safely disconnect your device from this PC, and quit this program. Have emailed the developer with no reply.

It doesn't work well and author doesn't reply at all. I am asking for refund and no reply. Project is abandon and developer scams people.

This app is a life saver. My HTC M9 had a broken screen however I was able to install this app, use the USB method to start the server and successfully control my phone from my web browser.

U70%
by U####:

The app does not detect root and keeps asking me to connect the USB and run the tool. From what I understand that should only be necessary for non root users.

V70%
by V####:

It works fine on older versions. I think this might be abandonware. Site is gone and no updates in 6 months.

K70%
by K####:

Been using it two years almost, it's worth the money. I wish the UDP would listen on port 14321 and 5901 by default instead of both on 5901, USB connect never worked until I pointed it towards port 14321....

Doesn't work anymore for Marshmallow S5 900F at 6.0.1 Worked before. Does not ask for root rights no more and thus can not work. Reinstalled same issue. Update Jan 2017: Seems developer is gone or does not care and this was the most expensive app I ever bought on playstore not very pleased. Confirmed not working anymore on a few devices.

Not working with my Samsung Galaxy S4... please help!! i need to check things on my old phone with a broken screen!! EDITED: I got it to work on my new phone, S4...but the reason I downloaded this was to get information off my old phone with a broken screen. The only thing I need to do on my broken phone is to turn on USB debugging, but I can't navigate the screen.... any ideas??
