VLC Direct for Android
Needs to be updated. The app is still rather unpolished and clunky which makes it difficult to use and also there is no way to jump 5 or seconds back or forward which is a needed feature when watching movies or shows. I'm using a combination of this and VLC Mobile Remote to get a great UI as well as Functionality so at the moment it's working really amazing.
Was looking for an easy and quick way to play video files from my phone to my PC via a USB cable (my PC is hooked up to my TV anyway). It does that and more. No DLNA, no WiFi. Just the same player on both devices. Quickest fix to a problem EVER! Well done!!!!!
Since my phone is where I store all my music, I rather stream directly from it to my PC when I'm primarily using my PC. Up to 4 stars for those additional supports. The thing keeping me from giving 5 stars would be difficulty in navigating through my music collection because its huge. Despite having an Artists / Albums tree to simplify categorizations, it still feels cluttered. I preferred what Music Folder Player has to offer: a directory-tree navigation support (though there're a lot of considerations like multiple root folders).
Able to stream and watch and listen on pc videos and images fro mobile effortlessly after using the given script file though not smooth intermittently maybe due to wifi connection, it can do vice versa also but not tried yet
Very good , but Still update is needed .... Because not working for letest vlc media player for windows.. just upgred it and good to go.
Not only it did't work, this useless app also messed up my VLC settings. I can't even access the VLC web version. Totally useless
The original VLC does everything this does, but WITHOUT the ads. Whomever this is, is profiting off the back of somebody elses (VideoLan) good name (and software). In other words...a thief.
I use it as a remote control sometimes from my phone when watching movies on my laptop and also play music. I love the fact that I can browse my laptop music and play on it from my phone using the app or vice versa.
This is definately a much better media app that I've found that supports my wants and needs!!!
Doesn't work. Tells me I need to set an http password, and doesn't bother telling you how to do it.
Most excellent streaming to VLC on Ubuntu. With Flash you can now stream to Chromecast! It's all good.
Doesn't work, I followed the instructions, even double checked that VLC was listening on the port and opened the firewall manually, but the two refuse to talk to each other.
a bit clunky but i still like this app.
Best vlc remote ever. Oh hail, open source.
Garbage. Doesn't even work.
Works pretty good, some minor problems setting it up but it's ok.
Haven't used it a lot yet. But so far it is very handy
Yin like me
Gud app!
Finish seems somewhat crude, but good Documentation!
Syncs to my music folder which is what I wanted it to do. I hope it refreshes as I add songs
I rarely say this. It's great! Works exactly as it says it does! Excellent!! Exactly what I was looking for!! :)
Difficult to get used to
Your app is so good and it's free. Thank you!
Awesome supr awesome... But no sound plz help guysss
I like it ..
I LOVE JESUS ON MY HEARTS
It works.
Not bad. But this isn't official apps VLC.
It's an awesome app for wireless streaming
Needs improvement
Works great once setup.
Very useful app
The best app
Great open source
Good app
Best
Audio on some files is glitchy af, or there is no audio at all. I set FFmpeg strict standard compliance to - 2 but it doesn't change anything
Used to work well. But now it crashes if it's connected to my LAN. Or if it has no internet connection. Which is pretty useless if your only internet connection is a mobile one.

I use this stream to my music from my PC to my phone and this does it perfectly and I love it for that, but only until I try to make a playlist. Press hold function is over sensitive and almost always messes up, so trying to make a playlist becomes an infuriating struggle of closing the player and trying it again, over and over. And for some reason loading VLC's playlist doesn't stream it to the phone....
