Vivint Smart Home

Easy to use, and all inclusive. To do what I would do now on other devices I would have to download 5-7 apps and none of them would be tied together.

Most recent update on 8-19-17 helped speed up the lag that you would get when changing items on the app. If it keeps this up for the next few days I will change to a 5.

I am very happy with the app. It lets me monitor the areas around my yard without me having to go to a window, it also lets me see who is at my front door without me having to even being at home.

Just a little slow sometimes but I'm not sure it's not my internet.

When I am trying to use it I am leaving in my car and it always takes about 5 tries just get the app to connect. I don't need my eyes off the road like that.

I love and enjoy watching who approaches the door while I'm at work or even walking around outside my house

It takes a load off of my mind being able to check the system while away!

It's an amazing app where you can see what's happening in your home I love it !!

The system i s dine but the tech who installed late alot first time and second time cancelled his appointment on his own and no call why and had to wait until next week to get camera and door. I'm very upset about it and his name is Travis this is not a way to keep a client that kind of action. I love the system but need to keep techs doing there job to keep client happy and want to do referral. .

This app is garbage, just like the product! Never works. I just spent the last fifteen minutes trying to arm my house... It finally did. Then when I go to disarm it, it again takes forever to do! Never connects properly. It always surprises me when it 'just' works! Can't wait to be done with this app and the product! Will never recommend this to anyone, not even my worst enemy!

I feel safer already! It didn't take the guys very long to set up and attach the cameras, plus the guy stayed and helped me with the phone, I mentioned that I wasn't phone tech and he said no problem, I'll stay and help walk you through it. They were very friendly and very helpful with their knowledge. Thank you!

Camera works just fine when viewing from the panel. But in the app on my phone, it says unavailable and has been for a week now. PLEASE FIX ASAP!!! *UPDATE* Camera still isn't working and it's been over 2 MONTHS!! This is ridiculous. The camera is mostly why I have this app. Get it together people!

I love it so easy to use awsome. Only 1 problem under maintenance often i get ur trying to improve but im tryin to set My Alarm. Can go maybe let us know when it will be down Thanks

Google Home and assistant now links with Vivint. It will only close garage door and will not open it. Now that needs to be updated. I assume it is a security issue. Also need where we can find voice commands. Google still gets confused sometimes but it works.

Love everything except deleting video clips from doorbell camera. When I go to delete it shows them all deleted then get and open back up and they are back. I have to delete them 4 or 5 times to permanently delete them. Frustrating and time consuming!

I'm going crazy with all of the notificiations!!! I have 4 kids, and they are constantly in/out the front door. I mean come on! You should make it to where you can customize which notifications you want to receive! And not to mention the front cameras can never be seen on my phone. I make sure to pay for the best phone service and best Internet service. Why can't I view the cameras half of the time?

I love my viviant. Also have solar. The only thing is I have had 4 false alarms and vivant wants to charge for calls to troubleshoot. I know it is in the contract but not comfortable with them not backing up their equipment

So far so good! It has dropped a few things here & there (mail delivery, but no notification on activity that someone approached door, etc). But all in all, I'm happy with the app!

Third day since this horrid update and I still can't stream my camera's feed to my phone. It worked before the update. Terrible. **Update 7/6/17** I was contacted by a Vivint representative, who assured me that a software update was available for my Sky Control panel, and that after the update, the application would stream video over my mobile connection. Well, it worked! Good job in fixing the issue, Vivint! You are in my good graces again!

The flaws here aren't' in the system it's in people. Because they travel they rush a bit too fast especially on the install side. That said, I liked my salesman, John Bowers, and my installer, Danny. The system is flexible and that is a solid feature.

The doorbell camera is my favorite! Great quality, easy to use. I'm not sure if it's my phone or the app but it takes a little longer than I would like to load the video images or show live footage. If that were to connect faster, I would have given 5 stars.

Notifications are nice, but clicking on a notification while not on the home network never works for me. E.g. doorbell notification will load the doorbell page, but everything stays greyed and the busy circle never ends. I have to hit back to actually start the whole app first before it will work.

So far, I've had the system and app for 1 to 2 weeks and experienced a few glitches. When I called tech support they were friendly, but not helpful, and the first appointment was for a full week out. Thankfully since I'm in my first120 days the tech will be sent out at no charge, however if their system is going to act like this I would argue their services are not worth the tiem amd effort. I expect more comprehensive service and care for a system I am buying.

App crashes everytime I get a notifications. Takes for ever to upload when a visitor is at my door. Don't always get the notifications that someone's at my door and when it decides to work, I'm getting 50 notifications at all hrs of the night. System works great on the panel. Wish this app could be fixed asap.

This app drives me insane. It doesn't work half of the time and any time someone rings my doorbell when I'm not home, it doesn't load in time for me to even communicate with the person. So frustrating

So far so good. There was a period of time when the site was unavailable due to maintenance. I was still getting used to my new system and was a little bothered by the interruption but understand the necessity.

Peace of Mind It's great having control & options for service and system tools. Great to navigate and super user friendly. App has been unavailable a couple times, then comes back on shortly.

Works most of the time.... We have had the system for a few months now. The app works most of the time, unfortunately the times it hasn't worked were critical. Like someone at the door, and the door camera won't communicate. Trying to disarm before the timer, I ended up running to the panel and disarming. I would say 89% of the time it works as expected.

Has problems arming the house. Has problems unlocking the door. Doorbell camera never works, unless I'm at the panel. I don't care if the panel works, I'd like to see and talk to people ringing my doorbell when I'm at work. Garbage.

Nest never works anymore and Vivint as a whole isn't compatible with most other smart home electronics. You can only add what they offer. I am somewhat satisfied with Vivint, but these things are why I'm giving it three stars.

I like the fact that it's in HD and I can see a lot more than the front door. I can see 4-5 houses across the street as well as part of my neighbor's yard right & left. Everything shows up very clear. So far so good.

Love the app, but would like to see every user identified. Having everyone show as the primary that set or disarmed the system is not a true accurate tracking method activiry!

Sometimes the app is so slow I get to the door before any video shows up. Other than that, I really like it.
