Star Walk 2 gives you accurate daily data on current moon phase, time of sunset and sunrise, and elevation of planets. With just one slide you can see how the sky will look later tonight or throughout the year.
PRO STARGAZING GUIDE
Special night-time soft red mode will help you preserve night vision when stargazing with a telescope. You can see the sky in X-Ray (and 5 more filters) to study the invisible structure of the universe. Live tracking for over 8,000 satellites will help you catch iridium flares.

*I never rate 5 Stars* Finally a star charting app that works correctly, it utilizes my GPS Location perfectly. Besides the ISS Tracker(Paid Version) gets it right. Well worth the 1USD, if u love star gazing.

Extremely nice app! And the Info you get on Objects in friggin' awesome!!! But could you please offer a setting to turn Off the shiney, flashy "metal plates" look on the Constellations and just have the Artwork show like it does in the 1st Star Walk Version? I just don't like it and find it very distracting! Otherwise a brilliant look!!! If I had one complaint, it would be to be able to get a closer view of Satellites (see what they look like) and actually watch them traveling by while you hold your phone still. I saw that in another (otherwise inferior) app and it was just the friggin' coolest thing!!! Sometimes people buy a car just because the Rear View Mirror Auto-Dims when someone is behind them with their High Beams On (true story). Understand? :-)

This is by far the best star and planet app I have ever used, First of all if you're buying this app definitely buy the All In One Bundle Because it brings this app so many more features, I don't no why they don't just make the whole feature into one purchase, I never no why developer's do that. On the Nexus 5 it is silky smooth absolutely no stuttering when scrolling through the sky and finding them planet's and star's. Thank you for releasing to Android as well.

Star Walk 2 - Night Sky Map looks AMAZING and is easily one of my most favorite applications... There's just so much fun (and learning!) to be had using this application! If I had to pick one thing that was missing, it'd be that there's support for Android Cardboard (well, that and a version for Ubuntu/SteamOS/Linux-based operating systems).

My 8 year old autistic son absolutely loved it- he is obsessed with astronomy and this app is his favorite because of the gorgeous artwork and amazing music & special FX. Keeps his attention for long periods of time!
