What are users saying about Lux Plug-in: Nexus 4

N70%
by N####:

Astronomer Mode looks fantastic and is how I remember it from older, abandoned apps from different developers. This is the only reason I would root my phone right now.

S70%
by S####:

on custom ROM/kernel. no issue

Z70%
by Z####:

When enabled brightness is bit wonky sometimes after screen wake. Sometimes it just doesn't adjust

O70%
by O####:

Running Omni 4.4 Rom. Worked previously, but not on the 4.4 update. Plugin disable all functionality of lux when enabled.

O70%
by O####:

Improvement is visible with this plugin, a must for rooted users and a good reason to root

N70%
by N####:

On screen buttons are now also dimmed.

Z70%
by Z####:

The plugin works like it's supposed to, but unchecking 'Enable Lux services' no longer works with this plugin enabled. Since I only use Lux for sub-zero brightness, this is frustrating. The only way to disable Lux and regain control of the stock brightness slider is to uninstall and reboot. Please fix this and I will give 5 stars.

Absolute must have for KitKat 4.4 with the transparent top/bottom. Using Lux you could see the difference in brightness between the on screen buttons and the actual screen. I purposely rooted just for this plugin and couldn't be happier!

Love it! Can we also get this for the 7 nexus versions which I use for my scope controllers

C70%

Bug today with night time mode not deactivating even after disabling it in config. Will keep starting mode on wake. Only way to deactivate is to disable plugin.

K70%
by K####:

I noticed this causes an annoying fluctuation in brightness every screen wake. Other than that, it's superb. I just can't stand the above mentioned issue...

X70%
by X####:

Everything looks so beautiful in night mode with the plugin. If anybody's worried about this, it continues to work on my N4 after flashing the 4.3 update (though I had to re-root, of course).

R70%
by R####:

I don't know how I've gone many nights without astronomer more. But conflicts with my custom rgb setting in trickster mod, it will reset them to 255, 255, 255 when I had them at 200, 185, 190. Running Franco kernal. Also doesn't stick after unlocking, probably trickster rgb settings taking priority.

X70%
by X####:

Can't disable Lux with this plugin installed. I have to disable plugins as well. Otherwise great, I love that it dims the soft keys... Fix the problem and I'll give it 5 stars.

R70%
by R####:

This app is amazing. However, I am experiencing the same issue that Vincent is: when I apply settings through Trickster Mod, the brightness settings mess up when I lock/wake my device. I really like using sweep2wake, but I can't enable it unless I apply it through Trickster Mod. Besides that minor issue, I love this plugin!

T70%
by T####:

When enabling this plug-in, then sleep for MX Player doesn't work. Lux sleep works well without plug in enabled.

Can you set it when the phone is on a certain lux if automatically sets itself to astronomer mode. Then back to normal it reads you a brighter environment all automatically. Also can we expect to see some live for the nexus 10.

Q70%
by Q####:

I love what this plugin has done, especially night mode is so much nicer. The only problem is the screen doesn't partially dim before it turns off. edit: As the dev said, this is a fundamental limitation, and really a minor issue. Lux is a must-have and this plugin makes it even better.
