Greater London A-Z Map by Zuti for Android
♦ OVERVIEW
This clear colourful and high quality A-Z map covers the whole of the Greater London area down to street level. The familiar look of this map makes it by far the easiest London map to use. The map is drawn by real cartographers with the detailed care and human touch of emphasis that A-Z are famous for.
The map covers 3743 sq km (1445 sq miles) of London down to street level, the same area as the printed version of the Master Atlas of Greater London and extends beyond the Greater London and M25 area to Hemel Hempstead, St Albans, Potters Bar, Waltham Cross, Epping, Brentwood, Thurrock, Stanford-le-Hope, Gravesend, Wrotham, Sevenoaks, Westerham, Oxted, Redhill, Reigate, Leatherhead, Great Bookham, Woking, Egham, Windsor, Slough, Chalfont Street Peter, Chorleywood and Bovingdon.
The map index contains over 300,000 entries with nearly 100,000 streets, over 200,000 postcodes, plus thousands of places of interest, hospitals and rail stations. All can be located on this high quality map within a few seconds using the search feature or by browsing the index.
With this map installed on your device there is never any need for an internet connection enabling you to access the map anywhere and at anytime.
♦ GPS
You can use your device’s inbuilt location services to show your current location on the map or follow your movements as you travel.
Add this map to one of our “Zuti” route planner maps and you are well equipped to travel anywhere in the Greater London area.
♦ ANNOTATING THE MAP
You can now add places of interest, routes and even areas to the map. This is a very simple yet powerful feature that allows the user to quickly and easily customise their map. This is also a great benefit to anyone planning routes as it instantly displays the distance for the complete route. These annotations can be stored and retrieved instantly on the device.
I've been using an A-Z on my old windows PDA for years but have now upgraded to an Android Phone and Tablet. This Application is just as good as the original version I used for years and the price of the app is so much cheaper so having to buy it again was not a real problem. Using the app is easy, the images are very good and the zoom functions are impressive. Being a motorcycle courier for over 25 years the A-Z has been my companion, I am pleased to still be able to use this mapping in this modern age.
Can't beat the design of A to Z maps but the app seems a very half-hearted effort. Can't zoom in very far, esp on modern hi-res screens with tiny pixels. Perhaps most surprisingly, there's no key (as far as I can find)! What do ⭐,
Only draw back I have with the app is that it is very out of date . some roads I've checked are on Google but not this app namely the Kidbrooke estate and Lewisham and elephant and castle. I'd give it 5 stars if this app was up to date so far I reckon it's 5 years out of date. This app is £5 approx please get it up to date if Google can do it, you can.
I used this app on my Samsung S3 and it was great but since I upgraded to a Samsung S5 you can only see the main roads clearly on maximum zoom.It is impossible to see the side roads clearly. The zoom needs to be sorted on more modern phones otherwise it is an ineffective app if you can't see street names clearly.
When are the rest of the maps coming out on the Android operating system as there is only London & Glasgow so far as i thought there would be more than just two maps being available.
Greater London A-Z App is ok on my Samsung S5 as S6 is a joke as so is London! By Truth Raider
I would of given 5 starts but A. When you mark a route it covers the road names and B. You can't swivel the map. It has to stay in landscape or portrait.
Couldn't do without it - I work as a tour guide, this helps me measure walks and gets me around traffic jars. The GPS is spot on. And of course no spine of a book to worry about, why is it the bit of the map I need is always on the spine! ☺
The map needs to be updated. It's too old now. London has changed a lot since the last update.
It's a big file but London is a big city! :-) Very pleased with this A-Z. The scale could perhaps have been just a tiny bit bigger but that's an observation rather than a complaint. It's still very easy to read on my 5 inch smartphone. Plus the search function works really well. And that big file means you don't need WiFi or a phone signal. You can look at it anywhere, even on the tube. Well worth the money and a score of 5/5.
I downloaded it today but it is west of money. It is better to use the Google maps
Desparateley needs updating, many new streets and one way systems not shown
Needs to be updated. London has changed a lot since last update. New postcodes, streets etc. I'd hope that updates are included seeing as I paid £5 for the app!
Best London mapping, but needs to zoom in more for latest HD screens. Current max zoom isn't legible in busy areas
Update update update update update
Very user friendly, but please update the map as road layouts have significantly changed over the past year.
Very good app, the colour map is far easier to read than google maps. You have to have the correct spelling, it wont search all available differentials but apart from that still well worth it
Just like the paper version but even better
No route planner. Poi search is also limited. Better off just downloading map areas of Google maps and save your money and storage space.
Very disappointed GPS doesn't work considering refund..will wait to see if developer contacts me...
I would of given 5 starts but A. When you mark a route it covers the road names and B. You can't swivel the map. It has to stay in landscape or portrait.
Only reason not 5* is when you zoom in it would be better if it went too the inner London map like the books
Best A-Z available. Don't hesitate to buy!
Would like to be able to zoom in a bit further. (Nexus 6).
Best £5 I spent in a long while. Nice clear colourful map. As a London taxi knowledge student these are the maps we use and now I can study anwhere. Highly recommend
The map needs update
The best London map, very useful
Great map
Any... Lee just dropped the bomb for the last time.
Much nicer look than Google maps and you can look at it when you're in the tube. Not great at searching for places though (e.g working out you mean st Thomas's when you say St Thomas)
Good android implementation of the a-z but the route option is a bit limited. You have to laboriously trace out the route you plan to use. The GPS will then track your progress but there is no automatic route planner. Also no legend to explain the map symbols and road/track representations.
Only complaints are zooming could be better. Also when searching and some things misspelled does not give did u mean options.
A brilliant app for finding streets around London. Well worth the money! Would recommend to anyone.
I have had this app for a long time and love it. However I have just upgraded to an LG G3, which has a Quad HD display and this app needs to be upgraded as the highest magnification is just not big enough to see the map properly. PLEASE make the app work on Quad HD screens as it did on my previous phone (Samsung Galaxy Note). Thanks
Why don't more people use this? Much prefer over Google maps.
Unable to plan/ a route, emailed and called Zuti got no answer or assistance
I'm a London cabbie and I've been using this for years. Better than searching for that elusive cul de sac under torchlight
Has the cabbie line when using markers
Best App for me.

I found this really frustrating. Spent ages trying to work out what I was doing wrong and now see that this just can't do what I need. It won't tell you how to get from a to b. If you select a starting point and a destination it just links the two in a straight line, 'as the crow flies'. It won't zoom to anywhere near the size of a pocket, hard copy a-z. Route lines obscure the street names. You'd honestly be better off buying a pocket a-z.
