About White River Guide, Indiana
Explore the many opportunities for visiting the White River of Indiana, and learn more about the watershed and the Friends of the White River.
The White River Map portion of this app is an interactive guide to access points for the waterway, including canoe/kayak launches, boat ramps, and nearby bike/ped trails, as well as parks and nature preserves. This app helps you paddle and boat the river, or view it from bike/ped trails and overlooks, including those that are ADA accessible. It won’t tell you the best fishing spots but it will suggest great places to try your hand, and it will tell you about a few outfitters who can help you get on the water. It also identifies bridges, dams and portages.
Learn about the Friends of the White River and the group’s activities and commitment to the health and well-being of Central Indiana’s defining environmental feature, as well as your opportunities to get involved with the waterway, such as during riverbank cleanups.
The Resources section provides links to printable White River maps, online White River gauges, and other groups and resources for all those who love rivers.
You’ll also find information about the largest watershed contained entirely within the State of Indiana — the White River Watershed!
