The only issue I've had with it so far is that the question mark is frequently registered as a 2 with a decimal point instead of an unknown number. If you could use several variables instead of only one that would be really useful too. If you could create them using circled letters (or something) so the app would register them as variables easier that would work great. Also, I was unable to tap the 'calculate' button with my stylus. Please look into these issues and I'll rate the app higher.

A great app and it will recognise my scruffy handwriting. This is something novel and useful as well as being flexible. I have not given it 5 five stars yet because I agree with some of the other reviewer's comments. Developers please keep developing I really want to give you five stars. One problem, the app seems to take the comma as a decimal point so I cannot delineate thousands.

Having lots of fun doing math now (never thought I'd say that lol). Very easy to use & change conversions. My only issue is I can't seem to do negative numbers outside a parenthesis. Every time I try my negative is turned into a minus with a ? before it. Would be 5/5 if this wasn't the case. Thank you!

Hi have my middle school students download it to use it to check their homework, we don't give marks for homework so no use copying answers, however they will probably learn something if they copy too! I empower them and let them take responsibility for their learning too.

When writing with hand on a paper, people always keep the paper slightly tilted. Since in this app I have to keep my strokes vertical, writing gets somewhat difficult. If I try tilted writing, it interprets my + as x, 7 as 1 and so on. So, please do something about the grid lines

This app's ingenuity recognizes almost all kinds of handwriting, and has the ability to put together and calculate complex equations. Every update brings awesome new features. It's Quick and efficient, what more could you ask for? Has a bit of a lag now on Galaxy Note 5.

I like the app but I find myself constantly memorizing the last calculation so I can re-use it. An easy way to use the last result would be nice. I Keep running out of room on my phone screen. Also, needs pinch zoom feature to shrink/expand.

The app as as whole, brilliant! However don't expect to be able to do high level maths on there as it sometimes gets confused. Couldn't seem to carry the square root over all the numbers i wanted it to, instead it seemed to create a divide line over an already completed equation. Then it just gets confused thinking that i must have wanted it to be there as when i undo it, it seems to go through other places i may have wanted the / the thing is, i didn't want it there in the first place!

Doesn't recognises x & y and translates them into number. And it doesn't saves the results for future calculations. Results just comes and go when we try to write something. Provide next sheet in case current sheet gets filled with result forwarded with it. And When we want to use decimal point using fingers sometimes two dots gets drawn, and it results into coma thats very annoying. You should understand two dots consecutively should mean one dot only.

I started using this app at the beginning of highschool. I'm on my way out and it has improved dramatically. I used to struggle to just write the number "4". Now I try to mistype stuff to see if it will make a mistake, and it won't.

I use this app for a very long time. Before it was available for iOS only and I'm glad I can use it on my Android now. It is very useful and cool app. Sometimes when you need to delete just a single number from your calculation it gets a little tricky, but when you get use the app it's not a problem at all. I'm sure most of people will find this app very handy.

This app is so awesome. I am doing better on my homework now. Even though it doesn't recognize x and y, it can still help me with my square roots and other stuff. I would totally reccomend it to other people struggling with math.

This app is on the edge of being incredibly awesome. It sadly falls short. It does not keep a history, nor does it recognize x or y or for that matter any other letters. If you want to add 1 + 1 then this app will knock your socks off.

Can't do everything but I'm in Algebra 2 and it helps me get my homework done quickly! I do the problem and then plug it into the app to see if I got it right. One thing to add which would be incredibly helpful would be a breakdown on how it did the problem. Other then a few issues here and their this app was worth it and will be used a lot this year!

Really fast and simple only if you could extend it for equations. Thanks...After billions of years of research and development we have a script calculator. We were using mostly scientific calculator which took a long time to punch in numbers and symbols. Could be lost in searching for the numbers. And this is a good equational calculator..

I cannot ask for more from this app but if you decide to implement additional features, please consider a paid version with full screen mode and the ability to graph. Excellent work! p.s. try dividing by zero!

So while calculators are great sometimes understanding how to use scientific calculators can be frustrating. This lets you just put in the problem as you see it without taking another course on how to use the calculator. Its been perfect for helping my son with homeschool.

This app does everything that it says and it actually WORKS! Very very excited. I can do ANY math calculation and this app will solve it in a flash! Great for when it comes to doing calculus problems. Thank you developers for making this app free! Best math calculation app ever!

This app is just what I've been looking for! It works like a charm, however could be better. For example, it would be wonderful for there to be an option to receive your answer in fraction form rather than just decimal, and also a feature that shows how to get to the answer (like a show your work, step-by-step sorta thing). Also, it would be awesome if there was a feature to access commonly used equations to save time or prevent someone having to go off memory. :)

D70%
by D####:

It does what it is designed to do well but has limited functionality. What it really needs to be useful is at least output (answer) to clipboard or better still a bank of local memory stores with recall to use these values in subsequent calculations, as is standard with conventional calculators.

a, b, c......, z my sums are incomplete without them. Please add them. It is my request. The time you add them i will give you ★★★★★. And does not give answers in fraction. I want cube root of 27... i wrote question. Now big problem i will take cube root of 27 as square root of 327. If you understand my problem than u cam also solve it. Bring next update and i wil install it again

I love it but sometimes it's really hard to cross some stuff off or when I try to write an equation it will mix everything up and make it super complicated so I have to start over. If I could highlight what I'd like to get rid of then choose to delete it I think it'd make the handling easier. Also I think it would be amazing if you could make it like a piece of paper where you can highlight and arrange/move around separate equation and zoom in and out, also if adding measurements is possible it'd be so cool. And maybe the possibility of different colors to help organization of equations? kinda like how on Microsoft paint it's a huge peice of paper that you can move around on and make several drawings.

It works great with standard math Like algebra but not so well with trigonometry. I've tried writing cosecant(csc) but it's always giving me (5(. So I tried doing the other way with sin^-1 with 1.3 and it would not solve solve since it knows that I have to have another number to finish it where the problem is only how it looks(sin^-1 1.3).

Out of all the calculators out there in the market, this is the most practical one for every day life and people working in math related areas. We just need something quick, with a nice interface and with the capability of handling some complicated formulas without all the hassle of a scientific calculator. It recognizes all handwritings and it is really fast!

Not sure about the operator priority, but unary minus is always confusing. I could make it crash dividing large factorials eg 111!/110! - they've fixed that now! ... awesome :-)

An excellent app for maths. A few foibles, such as powers to powers don't work (but brackets are your friend!) and adding lots of numbers you run out of screen, but it is very much more use than a standard calculator for understanding what you've done.

Also, a tiny bit glitchy but still fun and useful. I'm guessing the reason why they don't have X and Y because X looks too much like multiply and lower case Y could glitch into a 9? Still a cool app

It is an amazing experience to use this app, it makes things so simple and I find it quite amusing even, to just draw an equation and see the solution in no time. The recognition can be a bit of a burden sometimes especially for those who are used to write things a bit differently (e.g. commas instead of dots).

This app has a few issues (my pet peeves: deleting numbers and zoom / changing orientation) however, it's still my favourite calculator, and I think Samsung should have bundled this as the default stock calculator for the Galaxy note series.

Works great, no freezing or closing problems, just write and it does the rest. finally, an app that works like it is supposed to...Nice job Dev!!!!!

one thing that can be easily improved is how fractions are treated: 2 1/2 should be 2.5, not 1! Also, I'd add operations with feet and inches.

Would give a 4 if this app would have few more features, such as sum function and variable declarations

For me this is much faster than typing it all out on a normal calculator app, and it recognizes even the worst of handwriting. It is great for putting in more complex equations, especially ones with multiple sets of parenthesis. I love it.

It recognizes whatever we scribbled like in a paper, has support to log base 2, e power something etc in one place, so it made my data mining exam a whole lot easier.

Great guys, few issues, suppose if I enter some wrong value then to correct that add an eraser on top, it could act as a correction button :)

I installed this just to see if it would work. If you are doing very simple things, then yes it does. But it does not recognize mixed fractions or adding negative numbers. Concept is fine, just get these items fixed. Then I might rethink the rating.
