I'm a university biomechanics lecturer and I'm looking for an anatomy app to jazz up a module that I teach. Alas, it won't be this one. This is a decent enough app for the lay person. The selling point are the joint motion animations, which are by no means fully comprehensive but still a nice feature. Do not buy this on the merit of the 'pathologies' feature. It adds little or nothing to the value of the app. Some examples are just the same image with a different name. For example, "rotator cuff tear" and "partially torn supraspinatus" use exactly the same 3D model. And that's just one example. That's just lazy on the app developers part. Considering the cost, I'd stick to a good textbook.
I'm a medical massage therapist student, and this app is AMAZING for learning the origins, insertions and actions of muscles, as well as their locations and bony landmarks. Highly recommended!
Allows you to interact with the muscles while viewing their movements. For the cost of lunch, you get an amazing tool.
Very detailed with great origins, insertions, innervations, and actions of the muscles
Amazing
it's not operating in my dell venue tablet
EXCELLENT resource!!

I wish I had this app when I was in PT school! Being a visual/tactile leaner, textbooks were always lacking compared to cadaver lab. Having this app definitely would have narrowed the gap. Although I'm not in school anymore, I could see using this with some patients who are more curious about what's going on. I just wish I had a tablet, as a larger screen would be more useful.
