Virgin Mobile My Account for Android
This app is driving me mad!! It worked fine for 3 weeks and now its telling me to turn off WiFi to get the data. No WiFi is on and I'm outside!! I have tried to re-install 3 times with no improvement
Ridiculous, can't even set it up because it tells me to turn off WiFi and have strong 3G or 4G....I turned off WiFi and have 4G signal....still not working. Absolutely useless. Taken them years to get an app in the first place and now it doesn't even work!! Fuming
not really my account. ok for quick look up of balance and data. still have to login to the real my account online. needs to be just like the website version. needs data to be turned on to make it work initially. not very useful. just dial 789.
Just like the 3g phone signal. Not fit for purpose in most areas of the country. Shiny new mast erected near my house, obviously for everyone else because virgin signal strength is not any better.
This app would be much more useful if it included latest billing info and a link to Virgins's online support chat service. Vodafone's app does both of these things.
It needs fixing again. Connection error and its not my end. Had to go on the pc to check my account had refreshed its allowances. Please do fix.
Doesn't so the basics. E.g show you your recent bills or previous charges. Virgin are notoriously known to charge you extra where possible and literally hide it from you if you have direct debits set up. Tried login into the online account and it keeps asking me to call customer service. When I get through the agents are clueless and constantly mute customers.
I am okay now that the update has been done a few weeks ago and you can see the full amount of monthly data and mins etc and you can do it but before you do it on wifi you have to do it by mobile data and then you can use it via wifi and the Internet and I found it easy to do now. ....
Cannot use as I cannot get 3G - pointless in this day not to have a usable app.
Hi this app won't close on my Samsung galaxy s3 i have to turn of my phone every time I use it when I scroll up and down the background and bars separate from each other but only on the s3 and not on my s6 edge witch works fine bugs a
Stops working automatically after a couple of weeks and no idea why... Fails even after reinstalling the app... Fix it
Can't authenticate. I'm in 4g and have turned off Wi-Fi . App will not authenticate tried restarting it seems real times. Terrible and pointless process.
Load of rubbish...cannot even authenticate my s7 edge...turn off WiFi ??? It's yours.. waste of time...UNINSTALLED...And as soon as my contract ends I'm getting rid of everything else aswell.
Worked for short time. Now tells me to turn off. WiFi. Etc. Sort it.
5 times now tried 're installing still not working. I would like to keep in touch with my balance, is there another app that would work from Virgin please anyone.

the new add ons part is cool but wow.. how much.. am i existing customer or does that not matter. i could buy a sim with a gb on it for less than £10...
Uninstalled and installed many times, rang Virgin many times. Still not working!!
Worked ok on my s5 upgraded to s7 and it wont work just getting carnt connect to server message tried uninstal then install still same message

Very poor wi fi in my house cannot get a good service to set App up..
Used to be fine but latest update has stopped it working. Look on line for version 1.1 this still works.

Bloody Useless! Used the app once and all seemed fine but trying to access it again came up with a message about using the app over Wi-Fi. Followed instructions to log in over a strong 4g signal and app still shows the same error message. App now constantly thinks I'm on Wi-Fi and frankly any app that requires me to restart my phone or uninstall/reinstall doesn't deserve my time. Sort the app out and it might get an acceptable review but until then 1 star is being generous.
I like this app, it tells you how many minutes etc. you have left but what I don't like is that you can't see how many minutes you've used with a certain number. That would be very useful. Also, using Wi-Fi instead of mobile data would also be useful as mobile data is not always available. The name of the app should be changed to "Virgin..." Overall, I think the app is nice :)
I've not even been able to get the app to work (tried for the past several days around 01/03/17). It seems to believe that you are connected to WiFi even when roaming on 3G or 4G. I'd like to make use of the features of the app but so far haven't been able to do anything. Very poor. Should be good once a fix is found for this error.
Working now 15 Feb 2017 nothing has changed on my phone. So maybe it was a server issue on Virgin part. Anyway it does what it should on Android 7 so rating this back to 5 Stars.. 11 Feb 2017 Virgin Mobile app UK loads up but Connection error Whoops! Page loads up. This is on Android 7, checked permissions for app and this section is not active its greyed out. App build is 2.0.28. Virgin please fix had been working fine on Android 6...this is now or should be a minus 10 STARS.. rating on your app.. I want it working on Android 7 please...

Works OK, but the monthly "switch off wifi" thing to get it to work drives me mad. And I have well over a hundred installed apps, and for those I use rarely, like this one, I use the app search facility. But what to search for? "Virgin"? No, that doesn't work. "Mobile"? "Network"? Nope. Because its Android name is the uselessly generic "My Account". How am I supposed to remember that? Hopeless.
