I have to agree with so many of the reviews. Don't even bother releasing a mobile app for your PV-tied inverters if you are not going to actually put some effort into improving and maintaining it. How about you just provide a public API for all the data you receive and let the community develop a much more useful mobile application. Truly pathetic Samil. I am very disappointed. "Professional monitoring?" not even close!

The app was terrible and as of a month ago doesn't work at all. There is a suggestion Samil Inverters are going out of business. Which may explain why the portal, as poor as it was, has ceased to function.

by R####:

It's like the app was developed before 2000. So old. It would create a lot of brand value if they upgraded the app to the same quality as the inverter

Stopped working after two years won't get data no matter what now yet lap top can get instant but not anything else mobile can't even log in

It used to work, but the server has been down for weeks. An update was scheduled for May 30...... but that did not happen.

Samil Inverters is going bust and no longer responds. Do Not buy one of their Inverters as you will be left with an unsupported piece of rubbish. BTW, app doesn't work any more.

Despite registering on website I cant log in. Says username or password incorrect. Cant even access my pv inverter from the website. Hopeless

OK when it works. Doesn't work anymore, just goes to a black screen after logging in. Have tried deleting data, uninstalling, rebooting and re-installing, but the same issue persists.

Does the job when it connects. Very buggy. No updates in the last year.

Crashes a lot!

K70%

THIS APP GENERATES RANDOM DATA COMPLETELY DISCONNECTED FROM WHAT IS REALLY HAPPENING AT THE INVERTER. My solar installer pointed this bogus data out to the app manufacturer and they did nothing. Compare VIPLANT data to what the inverter reads... no overlap at all.

K70%
by K####:

Extremely slow in response. Every tap on any button makes the phone screen unresponsive for extended periods.

D70%
by D####:

This app is really anti user friendly! Impossible to know instant solar production and also, most of the day you can not know anything about the status of your solar plant. Unusable! Please make something!!!

I need this app to work everyday for it to serve its purpose. It sometimes goes weeks without recording information. I really hope they fix this

It's good when it works. Half the time doesn't display any info for the day. Even though I can monitor my usage on my PC on the LAN. If you leave the app open then go back to it later it crashes and you have to reopen it. Pity I don't have a choice of monitoring apps.

As previous person said installed app but it does not allow me to log in repeats incorrect username or password.....a waste of my time.

Very good app, not sure if you need to do this first, but I went on the Web portal on laptop, in settings comms needed to be set to udp, default was rs232 I think. Worked straight away! I can monitor usage wherever I am, spot on!

Y70%

Translated from Chinese to English using goodle translate or worse, therefore makes no sense. The app doesn't corespond to the high price I paid for the inverter. Samil needs to make the app work asap

I would have preferred to maintain the finer resolution of the "DAY" plot (as shown above). If I only have one inverter, why do I need to select it? It would be nice to have the label at the bottom of the plots show the corresponding total for that chart rather than "DAY" total when on "MONTH" and "YEAR". If I elect to have the login remembered, I would rather not see the login screen. Put the selection on a settings screen. The income figures are completely useless. (I get $0.25-0.35/kwh, not $8.00)

R70%

Come on Samil. If you are going to provide a progamme that includes cost benefit then lets have it configurable to each countries particular rates. At the moment its just nonsence..

Constantly crashes with null pointer exceptions. Missing data, completely missed a full morning of data. Then decided to add all morning data to a single hour.
