Likes:-in eq 31 hz bass it has superb depth with viper bass boost & viper clarity it provides good treble. Dislikes:-voice loudness is very high in eq iam using 31hz and 16khz.for this 2 frequeancy s only iam getting loudness like (PAS) PUBLIC ADDRES SYSTEM iam iiritating with it. there is still big room for development in audio clarity.iam,not a developer.i can understand audio depth because iam music lover. For software sound effect optimization, this is the way to go if you don't have an phone with proprietary audio quality boost. 3 modes for different use cases. I chosen power saving mode for longer battery life. But still better quality trade for acceptable battery drain (1%~2% per 2 ~ 3 hour) compare to DSP Manager from CM. Wish I've known it earlier. All the equalizers from play store didn't do a good job in terms of sound quality improvement!

This is the best equalizer I have ever used. Everything else out there either randomly quits, doesn't sound good, or doesn't work in the first place. But this app is absolutely brilliant. It never stops, works for every app, and makes even junky gas-station headphones sound awesome. I'm never uninstalling. The only problem I had was I had to flash a zip or else set the SELinux policy to passive to get it to work on Lollipop

The engine works fine, but the app equalizer have not working at all. After installing the engine, the sound amazingly better and battery also amazingly fast drained, but the equalizer setting for everything not working at all. I dont know what happen but it almost okay for me as it is. I can work it with another equalizer. And if i cant stand on the battery anymore, i already know to uninstall the engine. I hope it can get an update.

I wish I could give this app 10 stars. The sound quality it creates is magical. I've used it for a while, but my really nice headphones died and I am currently in a town with no suitable replacements. I bought Thai off brand earbuds for approximately 3 dollars and I can't believe the sound this gets out of them. Incredible listening experience. Thank you so much.

Unleashes FULL potential of ANY headphones, earbuds, home/car stereo. I have this installed on my second phone I use only for music because my primary phone is not rooted to use this app, I refuse to listen to music on it. This app is currently making my $10 pair of earbuds sound like a million bucks. THANKS TEAM VIPER!

This Audiophile App is a JEWEL. Man, I test a lot of apps on an ongoing basis, personal and BETA, you have created the single most valuable Audio Enhancements to date. I am baffled that you managed to get BT profiles going, that alone beats 99% of all apps. I will absolutely buy a Pro or Donate Version. Release it so you can keep going. GRATEFUL.

This is easily the best equalizer out there. Works for ALL apps systemwide. Doesn't matter Spotify or YouTube or whatever you're watching/listening to. The sad part is a device needs to be rooted to use this epic app. It needs to be built into all Android devices by default!

Like its' namesake.. VIPER totally lives up to its' reputation...Hidden mostly (Operating as a background Apk) but when active, the Audio is tuned to deadly precision with impressive results....Not really suited to The Audio Novice...more for The Audio Perfectionists...Enjoy

The options are far more effective than any other sound enhancer app I used. It also has a vast library of headphones and devices which as you select each, the app reconfigures the settings automatically according to the specifications of that headphone or device. The only downside is the kind-of-complicated GUI which I can happily ignore and give it 5 full stars!

Installed on my Alcatel idol x+. I did a Root and installed. Believe me Nothing other beat this. Use your VLC player and turn its EQ on that too. Its Theatric. However there is small isuue, when the screen lock turns on, app turns off. Plesse fix this issue. I did a work around by turning off screen lock. Otherwise appa is fabie.

The most powerful android equalizer ever created. I hardly give reviews but for the love of music ; amplified, purified, refine beats. Hardly goes through a day now without listening to music. I upgraded my android OS and it wasn't supported and i had to downgrade it again. In love with this app guys.

i use a voice v40 xtreme (cheap phone) , a4tech mk-660 (cheap earphones), neutron music player ( it has the best eq). wow dat BASS! the bass boosts combined with the clarity function is amazing. gives a very natural heavy sound.

This was an app I'd heard about when I first bought an android phone but forgot about it. I'm amazed at the difference it makes to the speaker and headphones sounds. Why didn't I install this before? It's worth rooting your phone for this app alone if you enjoy music.

The driver is not sticking, it asks me to reinstall driver every time I launch the app. I don't think this is just me it appears to be a problem with the 5X and 6P. Please fix this

This app has destroyed my phone's speaker so i now disable the Phone speaker and use on headphone and Bluetooth speaker. It screws up some songs music and i have to turn it off. Beware: don't use earphones at high volume, ears will be damaged. Take care.

... but it didn't. I tried everything to get it to work, even some of the suggestions in comments. However I love how simple the interface of this is. If it were to work im sure it would be amazing but no eq apps seem to work on my crappy s5 phone despite it being rooted.

Tried quite a few different equalizer apps and none of them even come close! Granted this app is root only, but it is completely worth it! Google should hire the developer to fix Androids audio system.

It's been awhile since I've been using this app and it was amazing but after my phone's software updated I cannot use it anymore. Its said Audio format is unsupported.

Installed on rooted Samsung Galaxy S4 Active SGH-I537 w/Lollipop 5.01...continues to prompt to install driver which I've done and reboot same thing afterward. Driver status shows nothing, audio format not supported etc etc...Uninstalled until I find what voodoo magic is required

Switching your kernel to permissive mode will fix the driver issue. Some users may also need to change 'fx compatible mode' from normal to compatible - you can do this in the Viper4Android menu. Root is required.

Very impressive. So impressive that I am amazed why no big corp comes in to buy this off. Better than any of the simliar apps out there, miles ahead. I would go as far as saying this is the ultimate audio driver app.

I have $10 earphone, and this app makes every detail in every music, great work! But sometimes the music player (I use Google Play Music) stop by itself and said encounter error. Please fix.

My phone suffers a problem with the speaker, it's buzzing every time. But after using viper, the problem is fixed! Better than DSP manager though..

Ive had this for a few years now an its just the best eq an amp you can get for your phone! Also you can get it for your P.C laptop ! An it also works with power amp music player and it just sounds amazeing ! Thats if you know how to use it! :) ;)

I dont usually coment on apps ever. But this product by far superceeds just about all other apps in this category. All the rest are mostly junk. Puts the other developers to shame for what they are peddling. All props!!!! You guys have outdone just about every other app in this caliber......well done.

Very great app. Very well done. I installed this after beats pro messed up the audio on my phone. Since uninstall of beats (drivers) is not easily done, I had to find something to override it. What a GREAT find. Viper kicked beats butt while wearing a tuxedo!! Kudos!!!!

Android 5.0 , 6.0 , 4.1 ... Works flawlessly on all three... Kept using Poweramp for good audio quality out of a phone but as soon as i came across this gem i never opened Poweramp again... V4A is a killer eq... Me being an audiophile, love how they were able to differentiate accurately between the amount of knowledge people have... Also my earphones are made to give more bass than usual so the clarity feature is out of this world and the bass is also a very neat one instead of a very harsh one...

Used on a Z3 Compact. Wow, this is an incredible improvement to the default sound! Enabling the phone speaker optimizations in combination with eXtra Loud made the sound incredible! I'd describe the sound as high-end laptop instead of shallow and skreechy. There's still the obvious lack of deep bass due to physical impossibilities, but it's great nonetheless. There's some trace of distortion when enabling Speaker Optimization in combination with eXtra Loud, but it's acceptable since it fixes so much wrong. Just try it. It's a must-have, especially if you have stereo speakers and are somewhat disappointed.

The app is unable to install drivers on my redmi 1s running cm 12. Tried it on my nexus 7 2013 n it was flawless. Hope this changes .. Update - remove audiofx if its installed. Change selinux to permissive n it will work.

By far best app in playstore. Has a u.i. like dsp manager for c.m. but sooooo many more awesome features. Im blown away at how loud my headphones are without any distortion what sooo ever. I paired it up with onkyo h.f. player app words cant describe. My only problemwith it is that my eardrums may be damaged in the future! Thank you for designing this 10*'s hands down

The amount of heavy bass you can get undistorted with vocals and treble equally loud is amazing.This made my terrible $5 in ears AMAZING This is the best sound manager ever this should be stock with custom ROMs its that good thank you so much

The only way to get this to work is to hack "root" your phone and to be honest that's getting old. Rooting kills your ability to use android pay and a lot of the times the Roms are half-assed anyways leading to other problems. Hopefully one day someone will get this to just simply work on all android devices without root...but I'm not holding my breath.

Hands down the best audio mod on android. Better than Dolby and miles better than Audio FX. Lots of customization and sound enhancements. Since I tried it, I haven't been able to live without it. Best app ever.

This app turned my mediam range sony headphones to like expensive quality beats headphones... Thx to the developers.

I have an htc one m9 and this app blows boom sound away. I usually don't even leave reviews but this app is the exception. Blows Poweramp away too and that is $3.99.

This app is simply amazing. Super functional and easy enough to understand. However, in some cases using the highest quality mode, you might notice a battery drain, still draining even though you're really charging. Uninstalled and installed the middle option instead.

4 stars to balance those who claim it turns crap audio equipment into high end hi-fi. It doesn't. It does, however, do more than any other DSP I've tried on android. Fantastic on my phone speaker, waste of time on my (high quality) headphones.
