Teachers Planner PRO for Android
I recvommend that you try the free version first; if you upgrade it will keep all settings, plans etc and 'unlock' various extra features.
Compared to the free version, the PRO version:
- Can save lesson plans and homeworks as a CSV data file, which can be loaded into Excel
- Can store up to ten to-do items per each lesson, as well as unlimited general to-do items
- Can store much larger lesson plans, homework descriptions, and to-do items
- Has no ads - more screen space freed-up
- Can move a lesson, once setup, to a different place in the timetable. All plans and homeworks are moved too.
- Can take a picture and store that alongside lesson plans (eg screenshot recap of where you got to in a lesson, or photo of homework set on the whiteboard?)
- Colour-coded timetabled lessons (can switch off if you prefer)
- Customize the look of the timetable - dark/light themes etc.
Key features of Teachers Planner PRO:
- Supports two-week timetables - It automatically moves from week A to week B and back. If you need to swap the current week, use the 'Flip' button on the timetable screen (bottom right)
- Setup, edit and view your weekly timetable
- For any lesson, enter a lesson plan and/or set homework
- For any lesson, jump easily to the next lesson or the previous lesson with that class
- Quickly see what homework(s) were set and are due this lesson, and set homework quickly in a lesson
- Enter lesson start- and end-times and teachers planner will automatically jump to the current lesson in your timetable as you teach
- Enter holidays and teachers planner will skip those weeks when searching for homework you set your classes
- You can set up recurring meetings in free lessons
- You can also enter notes for free lessons - to-do lists etc.
- You can have up to 12 lessons per day, any start-day of the week, and 3-7 school days per week. All configurable.
- Add, edit, prioritize to-do items easily.
- Add to-do items for individual lessons (one-week timetable only). These can be easily identified in the timetable with a small to-do icon. Never forget to mark books or print resources again ;-)
- Add notes for registration periods eg. tasks to do (still experimental, will be developed further)
- Store notes for break-times, lunchtimes, before- and after-school activities.
Teachers planner is designed to work on a phone or a tablet, in portrait mode - its compact and simple design makes it easy to see and edit lesson plans, see and set homework for classes, and manage a to-do list of lessons.

PERMISSIONS: Note the TP Pro uses the phone ID to identify the device uniquely, for licence checking. No other phone information is used or stored.
NOTE: If you are upgrading from the Free version, export settings first in the free version, then install the PRO version. It will see the settings and ask you if you would like to use them.
Saves time and really like the ability to export files to my PC.
Easy to use and easy to contact app maker for troubleshooting
Has really helped get me more organised with setting and collecting homework. Plus whenever I'm asked when im free to hold a meeting I now have my timetable to hand rather than searching for or lugging round a paper planner
Really useful app for planning my teaching days. Saves using a filofax as before.
Looks pretty good - only niggle is that the rooms don't always appear in the drop down list (mainly seems to be on free lessons). Possible suggestion - is it possible to maybe add a hyperlink to a lesson plan???
Straightforward and copes with 2 week TT
Great planners
I like this app better than others because I just click on my timetabled lesson and it goes straight to the lesson page.
Good timetable functionality for classes and a useful to do list. Update suggestion - would like to be able to add playground duties and alarms/reminders.
As a Homeschool Mom I use the app to keep track of where we left off in our studies. Some classes are easy like with a chapter a day, others are we got through pages x - z. Some days we get more or less done based on how interested the kids are and how many tangents we delve into from the core info of the lesson. I'm hoping to save my previous year's lesson plan in a readable format. Also colors on my color coded time table are just blues and grays. How do I get all the other colors shown in the sample?
Good idea and easy to use. Bothered that I can't sign in to access on different platforms. Would like access through browser and phone/tablet so can plan wherever, whenever. Also, phone fails to restore from Dropbox. I click on the option for the restore from a specific dropbox but nothing happens. Were it not for this issue, I would rate it higher.
Started using this app last week and I am finding it great! Excellent resource to have all plans and to do lists etc in the one place. Would like to see it linked to cloud storage like dropbox in the future. Overall very happy customer.
Doesn't have a widget. Uninstalling it.
I recently needed to be able to turn my plans in to my administrator but there is no watt to convert to conventional document or print it. Luckily my admminis understanding. It is also a bit conversions top navigate and set up. Once you've set up if is very difficult to edit. Also it clearly is designed for secondary teachers.
However I would like to see an option to backup my data in.csv format. there is no option in the settings on my Nexus 7. I can see the option to export on the photo but my settings does not have that. Also in future would like to see a Dropbox or Google Drive sync if possible.
Such a great app. Would like to see before school, break, lunch and after school events set up as reoccurring events (unless you have done that and i have not set it up properly)
Best app I've found for planning and developments being made. Would love a timetable widget BTW, just showing current day 2x4 something like that.
This app is well laid out but is missing many features. Such as A/B Schedules planning peniod and duties.
As a teacher I've been trying to digitise as much as possible. Google Calendar & Keep are helpful, but for day to day planning there is NO BETTER APP (Trust me, I used ToDoist/Evernote etc). Input your timetable, and away you go. Free version is awesome too. Photos in Pro help though. Worth every penny!
Ok so you released another update but still have not fixed the issue of showing 'next lesson' and 'previous lesson' when you view one of your groups. Please add this back in as it helps with planning.
Fantastic app best of its type and excellent support. Thank you.
Excellent
This app requires too much setup to get started. It is confusing all of the elements that need to be input in order to start using the app. I could not understand how to input lesson plan. According to the directions I can only enter 250 characters anyway, which is not enough for a full lesson plan. This app is not collaborative nor is it setup to accommodate common core lesson planning. It's basically just allows me to set up a calendar. It would be better and easier to just use Google Calendar.
