VinConnect for Android
This app is very limited. You can't end a visit. You can't modify appointments. Notifications may or may not work. I actually hate this CRM all together. Plethora of HTML problems and it just isn't user friendly whatsoever. Socket is waaay better and much more efficient.
DL scanner for Android doesn't work at all! LAME!
Very good system to utilize.
Borderline useless. Very out of date design. Limited functionality. Like the full software at dealers, takes to many steps to do simple tasks. You should bring someone in that sells cars to help you make an app that helps sell cars.
Pretty much useless for me on the Note 4 I had previously and on my new V20. Crashes more times than it opens without issues. Not user friendly at all and I'm still having issues with the DL and insurance scanner not working even after the update. I LOVE this CRM when opened in a full browser but the app is absolutely terrible.
App crashes constantly, refuses to send emails through without crashing. All around terrible app. I just got a brand phone and it is still a terrible app. License scan crashes. App no longer alerts to new leads. They know about it but are not resolving the issue.
Notification function doesn't , which is the the whole point to have app installed so I can get notified instantly when I have a new lead or response from a customer. Called tech support several times, no solutions available. So why name your company Vinsolution when you can't provide a solution to a problem? Also, the software has terrible filter for catching duplicate inquiries.
You can't claim a lead from the lead bucket with the app. It's poorly designed and dated. It's difficult to navigate, is buggy, and I only use it for the convenience of not having to be back in my office to check on emails/tasks.
I use a Samsung S7 and the drivers license scanner does not work. The app has permissions to access camera but it still does not work. Until fixed this will get a 1 star. ---UPDATE---- The camera now works and I can scan in Do and Vin numbers. Moved to 4 stars.
Considering how much you charge dealers to run VinSolutions in store, you should take some of that money and develop an app that actually works! The constant overlap "ghost image" of the customer list is intolerable! I've seen better apps made by teenagers! Having the ability to not have to start an email over if you back out of the screen (safe as draft anyone?) would also be a plus IF someone could add to the app. And it doesn't help when the rep for our store was totally unaware of the ghost image/overlap issue because he uses iPhones and doesn't check the Android issues. Should know about all issues with your app you represent.
I use this app on the LG G6 and I can only scan the front of the drivers license. Once it flips to the back the screen goes black and doesn't allow me to continue with the process.
I don't know how it's possible for an app this bad to exist in 2017. App just completely stopped working in my Galaxy S6 last week and still doesn't work even after multiple reinstalls.
Apparently does not work with LG V20, which basically leaves me up a creek
Logs you out often and won't reconnect using proper credentials. Aside from that I enjoy it
Be helpful if they could add the ability to mark a lead bad, lost, etc.
If half the features worked half the time it might be decent.

Awful the entire dms system is total garbage, completely killed my customer flow and sales resulting in poor performance and lost income. If any dealership is looking to update their dealer service I would run and hide from vinconnect. The old archaic adp at my dealership had it all over this, dealership was selling over 300 units a month to probably 100. Could not us app on phone crashed and had constant overlays.
I could write a book on how this app turned my positive energy into a low gross sale. lol Horrible with android. It Helps a little as far as a speedy short cut. (Half a star. Make it better please)
Poorly designed, would recommend going with anything else as your CRM. The fact they have not updated or fixed anything wrong with this app shows they don't care. We are in the age of technology... Phones make us money... We are unable to make money with an app that has no use.
This app is awful, buggy, crashy, and has such limited usefulness it's crazy. Apparently the app developers haven't figured out that the purpose of a mobile app isn't to provide less functionality, but to provide the same functionality with a more touch-friendly, small screen user interface. You guys suck. Really wish I could use a different CRM.
Doesn't send alerts which costs me valuable time which ultimately as a sales person has already resulted in me losing money and I've only had the app for a week and a half
Great app. except the crashes everytime. The concept is excellent and would give it 5 stars however I hardly ever get through 2 process' without it crashing and knocking me out of the task, note, or email I was typing or trying to save. ARGH!! Also 90% of the time while I'm looking for a customer through the search tool, it will over lap multiple customers with ghost images of them on top of each other so you can't read anything.. ..very frustrating. I understand what you charge dealers and you should be ashamed of yourselves for having such a inferior app. I've used this on Galaxy S7 Edge, S7 Note, and S5..all the same, so it's not my end. Changed to 1 star and uninstalling.
Since last Android update 7.0 camera connection no longer works with the app. So unable to use it to scan id's or insurance cards.
This program won't let me scan since my Samsung S7 updated. I contacted Vin Solutions and they have no knowledge when any update will be available.
This application would be great if it actually did as it was designed to do. The License scanner works less than half the time, and there is bug (especially in customer search) in which the screens overlap. Alerts seem to come on a random basis, at best. Some I get, some that I should get I don't. When working a car deal with someone, technology needs to work seamlessly. Even concerning things that are out of a sales consultant's control, clients can sometimes jump to conclusions about a consultant's professionalism, and WE CANNOT AFFORD TO LOOK FOOLISH! I cannot count how many times I have given up and gone back to making Xerox copies of a driver's license just to make the process faster and get my client back to the reason they came in -- TO LOOK AT A CAR, NOT TO SEE ME MESSING WITH MY SMART PHONE!!! Finally, my fellow consultants that have iPhone seem to have no problems. I know there a lot of variables to deal with when writing an app for Android, but id does not seem like any of these issues (which appear in may review before mine) have been worked on at all. Please fix...This app is supposed to help in selling vehicles, not make an already long process worse!

App sucks, called support to help us resolve an error and his response was that android app was updated too soon that Vin had to update as well for it to work. When I asked him what about Apple and he stayed quiet and said that it would be a different issue. Basically he didn't know how to resolve the error Works only for one day and does the same problem
