Avia Media Player (Chromecast)

Wish I hadn't purchased this app. I used it to listen to audio books. Once I stop listening there is no way to save a bookmark and the app only stays open in the background for maybe 5-10mins then closes and I lose where I left off.. I mentioned this a 3 years ago in a review and no update has been made. I'm done with it.

Love this app even more. App developer responded to me directly after I reached out with an issue and the issue was fixed. I'm sure they were already working on it when I contacted them but still, very fast update. I'm sure as a result of Android Nougat release, not a bug. Try this player , I know you will love it too!

UPDATE!!!! NOW ITS BEENS UPDATED IT WORKS AMAZINGLY ONCE AGAIN!!! QUITE FRANKLY THE BEST CASTING APP ON ANDROID. LETS ME SWITXH BETWEEN STREAMING AND STORAGE INSTANTLY WITHOUT CONSTANTLY RECONNECTING Been working well for a while. Now all of a sudden it crashes when I try to connect to my Chromecast.

Even paid for the "extra content" to be able to stream. As of right now that's another wasted $5 in the effort to try to play videos from my phone to my tv

Nice app for playing direct from a usb device but.... doe not do what it says. I purchased the plus version which Does Not connect to my TV nor any of my Apple TVs which they certainly brag about.

I started using this a little while ago after being disappointed with Localcast and I liked it better but unfortunately it just crashes now everytime I try and cast to my Chromecast. It does this on my tablet and phone so I know it's not my devices. Switched to Allcast since that actually works. Please fix this issue cos the app really has no purpose for me without the cast ability. EDIT: 7-20-17~ Okay everything seems to be working again with the recent update and I'm happy to be streaming from my devices again. Thank you Avia team.

So since I last used the app a lot of the Chromecast streaming issues have cleared up which is great. I now have new issue however, streaming 3D content via Avia using Chromecast for some reason puts the video into a small screen to the top of my tv screen with a bit of the 3D video cut off to the right of the screen. I've seen this before with non 3D content which has now stopped so was wondering if this could also be fixed.

What a con! £3.27 to connect to Chromecast and I can't even try it first to see if it'll stream my videos properly. What a rip off.

I paid for the pro version. Doesn't play 99% of video files using chromecast. Paid for the full/pro version for the chromecast support which isn't working. Very bad app, don't pay for the full version, it will not work.

Awful rubbish app. It should not be on play store. Nothing is working simply nothing.I paid for this app and try to play different media files but player blinks and dissappear. Shame

Frustrated that this app will not close and remains in my notification bar on Android 7 on a s8. When is this app going to support Chromecast audio?

Do I really have to pay $4.99 just to see how it works. I press the cast button and I already have to pay?? I don't know what I would be paying for. We are in the era of the free trials.

I bought it because I want to be able to cast. None of my media are able to cast but yet the competitor does work. Tried to get a refund and I can't.

Bought Avia extras to cast to Xbox 360 but doesn't work. Can't find a way to cancel it. How can I get a refund?

Garbage. Description lies. Won't let you cast anything without paying. Doesn't let you properly view folders to find what you want.

Super laggy when playing vids. Can't play particular MP4 vids either. One works. The next gets an error. Really bad app.

Says Chromecast installs free but make you pay for Chromecast support, misleading waste of time

WHY doesn't it show my Dropbox videos anymore? I am a paying client and use to use this app on my Roku device to watch movies that I downloaded onto my Dropbox account. I have over 100 movies on Dropbox. Now, when I log into Avia (I've already linked my Dropbox account to Avia) it shows or claims I have "no" videos showing in it. Showing up in DB! As I wrote, I have over 100 videos in my Dropbox account. What is going on? Do you no longer link up with Dropbox? Please help!

Works better after update. Still has occasional stability issues.

Paid for so called premium version, can't even cast anything, the button for Chromecast doesn't respond to presses, I expect a refund!

No better than the stock media player on my mobile. In order to connect to my Chromecast the app required money. No thanks

This app is amazing. It can play just about anything from just about anywhere. Ok so I think bubble upnp is better because it allows access to cloud storage like Google music etc

Great app for media and casting, only issue is that deleted files still shows up in app, very annoying issue that if fixed, app would be superb
