¿Qué es una fábula?

Las fábulas infantiles son una composición literaria breve. Los personajes principales son animales o cosas que presentan características humanas. En la mayoría de estas fabulas se plantea una problemática moral que puede tener solución o no. Finalmente, ésta termina con una enseñanza o moraleja que puede ser útil para el lector.

Características de las fábulas infantiles:

Generalmente en las fábulas infantiles existe un narrador que relata los hechos acontecidos en tercera persona, así como en un orden cronológico. Además, relata lo que les sucede a los personajes principales en un tiempo y lugar indeterminados.

Las fábulas infantiles, suelen ser historias breves, entretenidas y didácticas.Finalmente, ésta termina con una enseñanza o moraleja que puede ser útil para el lector.

En su mayoría, los personajes suelen ser animales a los que se les dota con características humanas; tales por ejemplo la codicia, avaricia y envidia. Estos personajes se ven envueltos en situaciones problemáticas que deberán resolver.

Generalmente los temas que se abordan en las fábulas infantiles son vicios y conductas humanas como la codicia, arrogancia, la mentira, etcétera; ya que detrás de cada una de éstas se muestra una intención de criticar los comportamientos y actitudes que se van desarrollando dentro de la historia.

En la literatura antigua, es posible encontrar opiniones muy variadas sobre la utilidad en el uso de las fabulas; sobre si son o no son apropiadas para ilustrar a los menores sobre los vicios, comportamientos y actitudes humanas. Hay quien dijo que no deben usarse en la educación de los niños, ya que deforman su comprensión de la realidad, así como quien las ha calificado de “patrañas” que cuentan las viejas a los niños con el solo propósito de hacerlos callar y que no molesten.

El autor de esta aplicación, opina que en la actualidad encontramos muchas formas de entretenimiento para menores como lo son los “comics” o cuentos ilustrados en libretos, caricaturas en cine o video con animales que hablan y que visten como seres humanos; los cuales tienen actitudes buenas o malas de acuerdo al personaje y a la narrativa del cuento. Todo esto es posible calificarlo como “deformante del aprendizaje sobre una realidad” como es el caso de los personajes de Walt Disney. Los tres patitos sobrinos de Donald y los tres ratoncitos sobrinos de Mickey. Nunca aparecen sus verdaderos padres. No hay una figura familiar nuclear o típica de la realidad. Hay un perro que sí parece y se comporta como un perro, pero también está un perro que habla y se comporta como un ser humano llamado Goofy o Tribilin

Cuando yo fui niño, disfrute mucho de estos cuentos y no considero que me hubieran deformado mi concepto de la realidad. Para mí solo eran muy entretenidos.

En el caso de menores, quizás las fabulas infantiles deberían de utilizarse solo como una forma de entretenimiento y no como una herramienta didáctica. Pero eso lo dejo en manos de los responsables de la educación y formación de los menores y en primera instancia a sus padres.

When I was a child, enjoy a lot of these stories and I do not think I would have distorted my concept of reality. To me they were just very entertaining.

In the case of minors, perhaps children's fables should be used only as a form of entertainment and not as a teaching tool. But I leave it in the hands of those responsible for the education and training of children and their parents first instance.
