I was able to create a profile using the application however after filling in all necessary information, the loading icon popped up and kept spinning. Full reset of the app in order to check to see if it was completed and surprisingly it did. Would be nice to have an email confirmation sent to your inbox without having to select options for ads and offers from via. Finally went to try and book a trip, had all my information in, everything checked that needed to be and the booking doesn't work. Uninstalled.

I'm always disappointed with transportation apps as they are usually useless or buggy... but I'm very happy with this one. It's easy to navigate and all the information I need is there. Definitely faster to tap the app which instantly shows your boarding pass than looking for the email in your inbox! Also, login is only necessary the first time you use the app. Not sure why people had problems, but I don't have any!

A well designed app. I was able to book a train ticket with no problem. It would be helpful if it imported your contact address when filling in your credit card info. One big flaw: it does not show a notification if your train is delayed.

On certain pages, the back button doesn't direct you to the page you expect it to and search results aren't saved at all. It's a pity because it looks much more polished than most apps.

Doesn't work. Can't search any trips it's keep telling me there was no train found. Useless!!

The app doesn't allow me to finalize the booking of a trip, even if all information is properly entered. The final "book trip" button is irresponsive / doesn't produce any action I'm unable to get beyond. Too bad as it's an app that's supposed to help you easily and conveniently book a trip: defeats the whole purpose...

Really happy with this. Works very well and even looks pretty good. Small changes could be made, such as allowing for swiping from the left to open the menu. But otherwise very useful! :)

I'm on the train right now. Trying to log into my account but says incorrect username, password, or locked account. Yeah not possible VIA. You and I need to have a long talk in person about the severe decline in the quality of your services (not the staff, they do their absolute best)!

Wow what a terrible website and app. You are so lazy that all you did is trasfer your horrendous website booking into an "app". Why in the world do I still have to type out my address ever time I book a trip even though I registered? Okay fine, at least let auto fill work.. nope you won't do that either. Between the horrible pricing structure made specifically to gouge customers to the maximum and the terrible experience booking tickets and always late trains and rude customer service etc. Terrible company.

They updated the app to redirect yiu to the awful verified by visa page that never works. Now i have to call in to book

It is useless. Go ahead and try and book a trip from Edmonton to Vancouver....you have to know the schedule so you can search for the train.

When will we be able to link our Via Preference account so that I can see all my current, past and future trips? I book my trips via third party (work travel website-AMEX) and because of this I cannot retrieve my boarding pass or any other information. When will you link all of that info via the preference loyalty program?

Sooo many bugs.

Very bad App you can not make reservations. U can't check Status of many trains like no 1 & 2 as their delay by hours. If time changes after midnight u will also can not chech status. Customers service phone delay more than 20 minutes. Just one phone number Canada Wide. U can not contact any via rail station.

Unreliable and inaccurate.

Might be okay for regular commuters, but worse than useless for tourists. Why would via want to put potential customers through such an excruciating exercise in frustration? Better off using browser, a phonecall, rome2rio or just about any other method than this app. Are my taxpayer dollars funding this app?

I used to use this app on my HTC One M9. It worked pretty well and I'd use it daily. Now, I have a Pixel XL and this app just does not work. It doesn't load any information, I can't access rail passes, book trips, etc.

Usually apps get better not worse. New update sucks. Everything I try to book a trip I get a error. Good thing grey hound works.

This app is clunky. It often doesn't show my upcoming trips. Buying a ticket on the app is convoluted because it doesn't list the prices next to each train/time... And that is when it allows you to buy a ticket--currently, this feature is not working.

Since new version came out can no longer use book function. Worked perfectly before?

I can't log in. It says the app had an unexpected error.

Worked quite well for quite a while but the new update appears to have killed the ability to book within the app (which makes bookings a pain).

Great app keeps my travel on VIA well organized. Also great to check and see if we are arriving on time. Love the train!

I'm baffled! What used to be a slow yet functional app has been rendered literally useless by the latest update. Will not load any content. Cannot be used to book tickets. Cannot view trips past or future. I guess it's back to using the browser and loading a pdf ticket on my phone. I'd prefer any previous version that worked to this update.

The latest update has really made thing ha worse. It was a great app before but now it is slow and takes forever as it is constantly try to load old bookings. I have to stop it just to get to my current ones or else it will try and load forever. BAD update!!! My rating went from 5 to 2.

the basic functionality is fine, and more useful than the website. i can see my upcoming trips and pull up the tickets for check-in. but it only works in portrait mode. it is annoying to have the app flip my display around, all the more so because there is no reason for this. presumably someone decided if would look better in portrait, but surely that decision should be left up to the user?

The latest update has broken what WAS a perfectly efficient app. Will not display or update any upcoming trips and is painfully slow at changing pages to other selections. Deleting it and will only use paper tickets from now on.

Something was seriously wrong with the last update. The load time is unbearable. Please fix..

The app does not allow you to add previously purchased trips which any airline app does allow for. Very simplistic. Kept freezing and constant error messages. Not sure why it's rated as high as it is.

Although promised to be incorporated into the app for 2016, it still does not have the functionality to retrieve bookings made outside the app (ie. 3rd party), even though the booking is linked to a Via Preference #. Come on Via. It is now 2017. This should have been incorporated long ago.

App keeps crashing error 404. Awkward to use, just as bad as the website

I used the app over the last month. It's one of the best travel apps I've tried. The boarding pass, travel updates all worked to a T.

Easy to use and quick to book. Didn't encounter any issues. Keeper!

The app doesn't work. Hard to give a good rating when it doesn't do anything.
