Animal Care Clinic officially opened its doors at our current location in November of 1988. What began as a small, one doctor practice has since expanded to three doctors and an outstanding support staff of veterinary professionals. Over the years, many things have changed as we’ve updated our clinic, expanded our services and increased our own knowledge through continuing education. The one thing that has never changed, however, is our unwavering dedication to providing each patient we serve with individualized, quality care and personalized attention.
Our hospital is housed in a state of the art facility that is made complete with everything necessary to provide your pet with a lifetime of quality care. From the warm, cozy waiting area to our modern exam rooms to our in-house laboratory, pharmacy and retail shop. Our goal is to deliver everything your animal companion could ever need under one roof, so you’ll never have the need to go anywhere else! It’s just part of our unique approach to total pet care services.
The patients we work with include just about every type of household pet, including traditional companion animals like dogs and cats to pocket pets, birds, reptiles and exotic pets. Whatever species you share your life with, we’re here to provide the necessary care and service to help you both enjoy as many healthy years of companionship as possible. Our comprehensive services include the highest quality medical, dental, diagnostic and surgical care as well as full service boarding and professional grooming.
One of the things that sets Animal Care Clinic apart is the special attention we give to our feline patients. We understand that cats are exceptional creatures and that sometimes they need a little extra care in order to truly bring out their very best. Our hospital is certified by the American Association of Feline Practitioners as a “Cat Friendly Practice – Gold Standard”, a designation that demonstrates our commitment to keeping your kitty as happy and healthy as possible while also making trips to the vet as stress-free and positive an experience as possible.
Along with our feline-friendly affiliation, Animal Care Clinic is also an Associate Member of American Animal Hospital Association, American Veterinary Medical Association, Kentucky Veterinary Medical Association and an active supporter of several humane groups in Central Kentucky. We run a no kill adoption program in the clinic, we support pre-veterinary students at the college level and we also work with the Fayette County Public Schools with their Experience Based Career Education (EBCE). It’s just our way of saying “thanks” and giving back to the community in which we’ve made our home.
Our hospital is conveniently open 6 days a week for appointments and walk-ins, and we also provide on call emergency service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with our own staff doctors so that in the event that your pet faces the need for urgent veterinary care, you won’t have the added stress and worry of bringing them to a stranger for treatment.
At Animal Care Clinic, we’re more than just a team of veterinary professionals. We’re a family, and our clients and their pets are an integral part of who we are. We’d love to become your trusted resource for all of your pet care needs.
