VeryAndroid SMS & MMS Backup

UPDATE 03/09/17: I have contacted Plimus/veryandroid twice though their website a month apart. NO RESPONSE. The program does not backup. I've paid for two copies of the program now (2012 and 2017). It worked great for YEARS and several phones. After I installed it on my current phone, my login info was suddenly invalid. I finally paid for a new version because I NEED to back up my messages! New login works, go to back up, freezes in the process with an error message. NO RESPONSE FROM CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Terrible app. As to why you need a phone app as well as pc program is just silly.

Not only does the backup fail every time on both my Samsung phones, but neither sales nor service will respond to emails. So my last resort is to warn others not to spend $25. And if I get a response and they make it work, I will change this review.

Downloads 20 SMS/MMS messages for free. Costs $25 for any further functionality. Not worth it by a long shot.

What they don't say here is that the free version only exports the "first 20" messages. This makes it utterly worthless.

I have a need to document my sms/mms to excel. Other free products didn't capture the mms' in one consistent stream - if they caught them at all. This product easily captured the whole SMS/MMS stream I needed without too much manipulation and effort to end up with a clear and well documented excel spreadsheet. The company also very quickly gave me a no questions refund after I accidentally purchased the SMS only version first.

If your app is a paid app why not mention it in the first place. It is damned cheating to find out it is paid after it has been installed. I do not know if it works or not and don't really care. I wish I could give it a negative marking but am forced to give one star reluctantly.

This is an amazing program. It does cost $25 but it beautifully allows me to backup AND view my texts with pictures on my computer. Seamlessly.
