Way2ride for Android
In a few simple taps, Way2ride connects you to a licensed, professional taxi driver to get you where you need to go. There’s no surge pricing, so you always pay what’s on the meter, plus an optional tip of your choice. Just register your credit card, pre-set your tip, and you’re ready to go. Payment is automatic, so you can hop out when the ride ends and get on with your day.
Even if you hail a cab the old fashioned way, you can still pay automatically by entering the check-in code on the taxi screen. All of your receipts are emailed to you, as well as stored in the app and online for easy expensing.

I lost access to this app and attempts to reset failed indicating that they may have been compromised. Today I noticed fraudulent charges coming from the app so users please be aware. If you lose access cancel the card you used ASAP.
Paying with app in taxi works OK, but the wannabe uber functionality with the hail feature doesn't work. Cabbies don't respond to it even when there are several close by. I'm sure app tech works fine but need cab drivers to actually pay attention too
My account is locked for reasons I don't understand, but nobody replies to my emails to start the process of addressing the block. The app was convenient enough, but if this support reflects the level of commitment to competing with Uber, it's easy to see why Yellow cabs are failing miserably.
I had someone steal my cab this morning, and I was charged $23 because there's no way to notify the driver once the ride has started. When I contacted the company to get a refund, I was told simply "call your credit card company and dispute it." Will not touch this app again - UberT is more reliable.
The drivers do not arrive to my current location, and it takes extra time and a phone call just to find my driver. One driver had a time estimate of 8 minutes that remained on the screen for 5 minutes. I canceled the ride, was charged with a cancelation fee, and then the exact driver showed up to where I was when I hailed another cab. This app has so many bugs, and I got it to replace Uber. Looks like I'm going back to Uber.
First try - and (of course) it failed. Reason unknown, just "payment declined" without any further explanation. I use my PayPal account all the time, so this is just bad programming (as expected). I love our Yellow cabs, but they have to move to the digital world or they will crash.
Getting an error every time I try to check in once in a cab. Useless. Uber or lyft people. Taxi companies can stop complaining and start competing better.
Worked great for a while. The drivers are sometimes unable to look up from the GPS to actually read the building numbers. Now I'm being charged $47 for a $9 ride that I paid $12 for because the driver wouldn't listen to me about the check-in not working. There customer service stinks. You just keep sending emails with no response!
Downloaded this app to use in a taxi at Miami Airport. Seem to be working fine no problem, had all the right codes in the taxi to enter into the app. Once arriving at the hotel cab driver said computer was not working that I would have to pay cash. Paid $43 woke up next day and PayPal have been charged over $50 for the cab ride also. Emailing support for this app for 2 days now no results called phone number listed on PayPal receipt, Indian fellow says it's a scam for me to contact my bank.
Default tip is 25% (you're driving a car, not a spaceship) and the cabbie seemed to have no idea how it worked. It took longer than just handling cash, with a significant increase in effort.
No need to compete at the curb. Use this app to locate the cabs around you, and to request one as quickly and easily as Uber or Via. The drivers who use it seem to like accepting these requests, and also share that they appreciate the speed with which payments are handled by the app. Seems to be a win-win for riders and drivers.
I forgot my password and it won't lelt me reset it. It just keeps resending the links to reset it but when I reset it, it asks me if I forgot my password.
Often charges twice for the same ride. Does not work at all in half the cabs I've been in in Philadelphia.
Please please stop reclaiming foreground when I've backgrounded the app to tell me you're having network issues or to show me the receipt. I don't care, it's intrusive and wrong.
He passed us as we ran after him. Stop for 4 minutes yeah right. Stop at 15 mph. We caught an Uber.
Buggy. Often does not work. Very annoying and inconvenient
The app crashes EVERY TIME FOR LAST 2 MONTHS IN PHILLY and they haven't tried to fix it.
Works well enough, though never gets my address right, doesn't show a map in transit, keeps the ride active after it's ended, and the $2 service fee is ridiculous. Come to think of it, way2ride app kind of sucks.
Yet another app that doesn't understand that .NYC is a valid domain and won't accept my email@christopherwilson.nyc
The "Hail" Button has disappeared. The app is pointless if I can't hail taxis. Please fix.
I tried to hail a cab from the app and it wouldn't hail it used to work now it doesn't
Never let's me log in from Philadelphia cabs. Always says cannot communicate. Worthless.
It works well. I have been using it for almost a year.
They say no surcharges but they charge you 1.95
App used to work before latest update. Try to hail a cab to get to work, but it just kept updating. Had to use another app. Please fix.
It actually works good for me. I would like it more if I didn't have to sync the phone with the taxi manually. But it's good for me
Saw lots of one star and five star ratings. Wasn't sure if it was mostly Uber or taxi drivers commenting and if the ap was actually any good. Ap works just fine. Mobile payment works. Can switch between cards and adjust tips. Used for superbowl back and forth when uber had surge pricing (~3x)
Be careful with this app!!!! My account got blocked for no apparent reason. No notice was given to me regarding suspicious activity on the account. So when I tried to hail a cab, the account was blocked. I could neither use the app to hail or pay for a taxi. I couldn't even log in. When I contacted customer service via email (no customer service line BTW), the customer service rep asked me for my credit card number!! Via unsecured email!!! I appreciate security measures but there are better ways to do it.
There is no option to choose the way you want to pay when in the car. Nor do I always use the same card. Not being able to choose when in the vehicle is a poor design. Sadly, I hate to say it but you may need to look at your competitions system. I tough this would be great as I don't get charged that $2.00 fee, but instead the fate of my money is not in my hands.
The app seemed simple enough, but needs to hold drivers accountable. The driver didn't even slow down/stop to pick us up, because he claimed he didn't see us despite us standing there. At least Uber will wait where you ask them to. Then the driver has the nerve to berate us because he got "lost" trying to pick us up.
In Philly, using the hail function is useful. However, the cabbies don't know how to pick me up and let me charge the ride linked to the hail. I can rarely connect, despite reloading & restarting the app multiple times. On the rare occasions I manage to connect, I can't change credit cards. In addition, I keep getting double charged and need to track to ensure the duplicate charges (always the ones which are a few cents less ) are reversed. Sigh...it's bad.
All taxi prices always are flat rate and great, and when you hail a cab, get in, and when they end the ride, you dont even have to take out your phone or wallet if you link to paypal account. I use the app 2 to 3 times a day
I have to use the Uber app to hail a wheelchair cab then I have to use Way 2 Ride to pay for the cab
I downloaded this app to try to make it easier to find a wheelchair accessible cab, but all I get is a map of all nearby cabs, not really what I needed
This app does nothing but display constant error messages
Feels likes uber but 10 times better. Simple and effective.
It works perfectly for me every time. No complaints
Signed up a couple weeks ago only got confirmation email 50 minutes ago.
The taxi driver called me, said he'd arrive in 5 minutes and hung up the phone. I physically hailed another cab, since there were many driving past. As soon as I got in the other cab, I was charged by this app. The map showed that I was picked up and dropped off 2 blocks later, when in actuality, the driver did not even pick me up.

The app worked better before. Now I keep getting an "unrecognized address" message, which is crazy. I'm in NYC, not the boonies. How can an address be unrecognized. To make matters worse, I've put this address in previously with no problem. At first this was better and more reliable than Uber,. Not any more.
