Universal Remote App

Amazingly useful - and EXCELLENT support I have had this over a year, and slowly have upgraded systems in the house. With my phone, I can now control my home theatre system, outdoor speakers, TV, Apple TV input changes into receiver, etc. And every time I email the support team for questions, issues, and even recently when I changed routers - they were quick in helping me setup and reconfigure. Excellent. Worth much more than what I paid. Thanks guys! Keep it coming

It took a little to figure it out. Once the auto device discovery was finished the rest was easy. Works great!

Very useful app especially as there is no official Android app for my Arcam device. The app is extremely flexible and has great support.

The absolute worse android app i have ever came across period.

Just want to control my stereo using my phone's built-in IR blaster, but this app requires a complicated setup of "controllers", "devices" and "zones". Went through the process and it didn't work. Got a refund. If there were simplified instructions I might be willing to try it again, but Google ' policy is no refunds if you try again and are still dissatisfied.

You cannot reconfigure the buttons, and it doesn't work correctly with my setup. It is useless to me.

This is a great app for who wants to have a custom remote control for Home Theater systems. The basic layout of the remote control is very easy to use and allows the addition of many devices to be controlled within the same app, such as TVs, DVD players, XBOX, Cable box, etc. It is compatible with numerous brands and devices. It is possible to customize the layout of the remote control to your needs and taste if you know how to develop web pages. Customer support is also great, they quickly answered all of my questions and even developed and published a new sample code to control IR (infrared) devices when I asked them about it. My suggestion for the future would be to allow an easy way to configure the layout of the standard interface.

I've been looking everywhere to find a way to control my audio processor (Audiaflex), and I finally found something that works for me! The app allows you to create a command string and send it to a device on the network by simply pressing a button. You can fully customize the program and add as many scenes/tabs to the controller as you like. It also controls the tv and the lights and it of the box. Win!

Someone help me. I have a bose wave system. And I can't set it up.

Actually there are several. The first is that this isn't really an app in the traditional sense. It's actually a modified web browser that runs custom HTML web pages with a few custom java script functions built on a public JSON/JQuery implementation. If that doesn't make any sense to you, then don't count on being able to do any customization of your pages. The important point is that once you have access to their web pages you have the java code and assuming you know how to use it then there'd be no reason for you to buy the app. Of course, the second reason not to provide a demo is that then you'd realize just how limited this app is and that it's in no way worth what they are charging for it. Unless you're an expert web developer and want to spend a lot of time reverse engineering their library, It's really no better than a $10 hardware based universal remote, since you're locked in to the standard button arrangement they provide. Any extra commands that a given device may have are only accessible from a difficult to navigate list menu down one side of the page. Unfortunately I'm out of room to provide more info, but for the price, you'll be happier with iRule.

Got the app and the recomended hardware to enable greater control and streaming to my bose lifestyle v25. I thought it was rubbish. Slow, clunky, unstable. I got better results from my original bose remote. I could not call up any of the menus for mysky+ decoder or for blueray or worse of all could not stream spotify, which was the main reason for purchasing (it just crashes when you point it at the app, as per instructions) worse of all I emailed the help desk 3 weeks ago and never got a response.

A quality home automation app with a user friendly interface. Especially great if you have a Bose Lifestyle system. Simple to configure and comfortable to use. Satisfactory customer support/service. Only suggestion/improvement for the app would be a more diverse and larger device database with plentiful listed devices and device types from various brands for better integration.

Too bad. Looks like a good program, but did not work on my galaxy note 4.

Excellent app

Configuration was very easy. The supplied device database contained all my devices and creating a new zone to link my devices was a breeze. It took only a couple of minutes to add my fist device, link it to a zone, and control the device from my phone. Support is also very good, they replied to my queries very quickly. The only downside for me is the standard interface that does not fullfil my needs 100%. Although the interface can be modified by writing your own webpage, I do not believe this is doable for most people and would have loved to see some kind of interface builder where I could design an interface to suit my needs.

I have to sign in to some Web thing to use the IR blaster on my phone? Are you freaking kidding me? I'd rather write my own app than deal with bullshit like that. Not to mention the app will be useless if the developer ever decides to shut down his server.

This app is extremely powerful it's lightyears ahead of anything else in the store. We are using it to control multiple samsung smart tvs within the same room over ip. Dev is also very helpful. Keep up great work Danny.

MyURemote works great with my V35 and connected SA3 All in 1, Control all devices connected to the V35 Easy to setup + you will never lose your remote as your phone is always with you.

I got this to control a Bose amplifier. MyURemote spent a lot of time solving a problem that was not caused be their system but from an incorrectly set up controller. Now, I see how powerful this app is and I'll be using it to control all components. The user interface and flexibility is amazing!

Couldn't get it to recognize the ir blaster on my samsung mega. Very complex setup... I did not call customer service cuz i shouldn't have to to set up a remote... Wish i could get my money back but it took more then 15 minutes to figure out this thing is not what i wanted... I always feel you get what you pay for... Not in this case. I suggest Samsung watchon.... And its free.

Awaiting a Global Cache IP to IR module to control IR-Only controllable devices. 5 stars coming and re-register if all works well.

The folks at My URemote provide an interface that allows control of all attached devices and also controls 2nd zone for speakers in other rooms. I have Dish Satellite & GoogleTV & Panasonic BlueRay/DVD & Samsung HDTV connected to my Bose v35, they are all controlled using the My URemote app. Installation is well documented and their Support is absolutely wonderful, I had a few questions and the support was quick with answers and very, very helpful. I highly recommend this app it was a good investment for me. THIS IS MY MOST USED AND MOST LOVED APP.

Finally an android remote control for my Bose. My family plays hide-and-seek with the actual remote controls, so this works perfectly-- no physical Bose remote required, just my GSM. I have a Bose V25 with 4 additional rooms. This app controls them all perfectly. I purchased a GC IP2SL iTach and a DB9 female to stereo 3.5mm Cable that goes from the Global Cache device into the Bose serial input. After the hardware hookup, I had to configure the app. Likely my favorite app of all time.
