VeraMobile™ for Android
Can't log in via mobile app, only via desktop.. sucks... big time will have to switch hub..
Didn't work on Android tablet. Everything showed up, but couldn't select any device. Uninstalled and moved on.
Works most of the time, but that's it. UX is one of the worst I seen this side of the millennium.
Android version incomplete. Geofencing limited to 2 fences, Virtual devices not accessible.
It's just really bad. Vera need to really step up their game with the app.
Why aren't you able to add a new device with the Android version but you can with Apple?
Works very well with the z wave products in my house especially in my home theatre where I have several timed events.
Geez why can't there be widgets. Ugh. The app is just ok.
Can't silence an installed alarm from this app, have to do it from the computer. No option for sound only on the alerts it also vibrates and can't disable that.
The gap between the mobile app vs web is large. Key elements that should be routine in mobile app are missing
Often has communication problems. I have reset my password 3 times but logging in with the new password is not possible, the app does not recognise username and password. I have 4 apartments on the Vera which works quite well from desktop but the app is appalling and really causing me to chained to my desk and not free as is the point of course of smart technology. Not a happy a customer and if things continue I'm moving my system over to Samsung's smart hub.
Can't do configurations. UI is poorly designed. Feels like it was built by the owners nephew because he is good with computers.
Two steps forward, one step back. It's always gamble to see if they fix more bugs than they create. If this app team has a tester, they should be fired.
The last update doesn't give me my home status update... I turn the lights off for bed and the app shows them still on and my doors unlock....grrrr
Latest version is pretty much useless. Troubles connecting :(
Crappy interface, next to nothing for functionality.
The camera images are not updating recently. Previously would update ~1 per sec.
Basic but functional. Imperihome for more advanced usage.
Would like to be able to set pin codes for my YALE deadbolt lock, also would be great to be able to change Vera devices as I own two properties. Right now I have to log out of app and log back in. Would also be great to get built in Lutron Caseta compatibility,
The My Modes Loading problem still persists after update which renders the whole app useless. There is always a loading icon in front of the HOME and AWAY buttons so I cannot select them.
Latest update sucks app crashes as soon as I start scrolling, please fix asap!
Works well, but the dashboard layout is poor and space is wasted. Why is more than a third of screen wasted on status, all that could be in a small bar at top. and device layouts could be tighter. Would be nice to move switches etc up or down to get some order. Also My modes needs shrinking and maybe fixed to bottom of screen. And maybe colour scheme options
Since this new format it just seems to be getting worse. From the current mobile app I can't change modes any longer and the the modes I have no longer show the info on the home screen. Getting to the point where I might have to dump the whole system and go with something that works. What a waste of money.
Alright, what the heck, I cannot even add a new device on Android. I had to get on laptop or an iPhone to do so. It does not save my session any more. I need to login every 10 mins. Really slow status updates on mobile apps, both on Android & iPhone.
It's a little tedious to use. Echoing another reviewer's comment that screen space is poorly used. Oddly enough you do not see sensor readings (temperature, etc.) on a tablet, but they do show up on my phone! Pretty dumb implementation. There are better 3rd party applications.
On a Samsung s3 Android version 4.2... More often than not, simply cant change modes.. Eg Home / Away / Night etc..Other than that the rest works on that model. Everything works fine on my s7 edge. Please fix. Don't really want to go buying more phones for others in the house to make usable!!
Good app. Having issue with Vera Mobile app notification saying "Geofence is running" when all aspects of Geofence are disabled and location permissions for app are turned off. Please help me get rid of this always-there notification. On Nexus 6p with latest 7.1.1 os. Issue resolved.
Missing most functions found through the web interface, but tolerable for remote use. How the hell can I clear the alerts shown on the dash? Works otherwise, could be refined to work like the Web interface since there's no benefit from its small footprint.
Sadly this app is lacking for a modern remote home control app. Mainly it's slow. Takes ages to connect when sitting at home. If you want to use this to switch a light on or off in the house it's faster to get up, walk over, turn the light on, go back and sit down - and Im talking other end of the house. Not very 2017 sadly. Needs UI update badly. Also needs shortcut widgets to bind switches to icons on my phone screen so I can just touch those and the light goes on/off or the house changes modes. The starting process of this app makes it useable as last resort only as nearly every other option is faster.
Geofencing used to rarely work, now it works reliably. Almost too reliably now, as the geofencing will activate when the app is opened or the phone is restarted. However the latest update indicates it will ameliorate this issue. Currently the system switches to away, even when another user is still home. Often activating the siren since movement is detected.
I think for a free app with no monthly fees this is a great app that it and the system are constantly updated/supported. Keep up the good work!
I'm definitely not an expert when it comes to installing alert systems, networking, or IP configurations. I was easily able to set up my Vera Edge and my individual components. This app is perfect for monitoring. I don't need many bells and whistles. I do wish that the push alerts could consolidate into one notification vs many individual notifications in my list. Thanks!
I've been using Vera for a few years now and it has gotten better and better over time.
The Vera home is good but I think this app can be better with more options to manage the system, end better dashboard. I'm also given some more time to see if Vera star working with Google home and Amazon echo. If Vera home get that could be the best for home smart system.
The app is functional but the layout is basically the desktop website crammed into a phone screen. From the initial screen you can't do much more than check alerts. Every other action requires scrolling or navigating the menu. It's rare to find an app that doesn't fit on a 5.2 inch screen.
So slow! And if I turn a scene off in the app, it changes the Lua code to gibberish and locks all my scenes useless. Then I get the "error in Lua code" and nothing works anymore. Use with caution!!!
I bought the Vera edge plus thinking on the future , but so far Vera and this app suck greatly.
Dont know whats worse the hub or app. Dont download the app. Hurry up and get your money back. The zigbee side of the hub is crap. Worthless junk.
Works well! One suggestion: I have two controllers.... On the Web I can select which controller I want to operate....perhaps the app could be setup to do the same?

Can you make the app pop up alert or notifications on the phone like the other apps such as facebook, games app...
