When is the android app gonna get updated as the iOS app has been updated loads of times plus the iOS app has more features. The biggest waste of money i have ever spent. Avoid at all costs

Ready the reviews after purchasing the kettle and got worried thinking I had made a big mistake, I have a samsung phone and tablet. However It worked straight away and have no issues. Only 4 star as the reviews says iPhone app is customisable and if true can't see why it's not been done on android.

I have previously complained about this app. But since upgrading to Fibre broadband it works a treat. Still have kill it to close it but hey it works every time. So 4 stars fom me

Tried for 4 1/2 hours to set this up on my android phone & tablet. Can't get it to work & it's driving me mad! Rubbish app, hard to setup & frustrating. Can't say how disappointed I am with it. Just wish it would work as it seems like a good idea..

The app works but with some limitations : you need to be connected to your home wireless network. The app needs constant killing. The smarter app does not work for me. I hope the developers might read some reviews and sort these. Controlling from 3G or 4G would be even better. I hope this helps. I gave initially 3 stars but run out in another problem. I tryed to add another device, it didn't work then I reset the kettle and I cannot make it work wireless again, I gave up after 1 hr. Is just a normal kettle!

Worked great to begin with. Now it does not connect. If I do manage to get it to connect on the odd occasion it looses connection with the wifi router in a day or 2. A shame as this should have been a good product just poorly designed app..

Device cannot be found on network.. Yes it does, just not from android devices. Seems to work fine with my wife's iphone... So far..

Worst app ever. Refuses to connect to iKettle during setup, even when my phone is connected to the iKettle WiFi network. £100 kettle = useless brick. Avoid at all costs.

Gutted I had to give this app (and kettle) 1☆ but cant give less. It just simply doesn't work...concept flawed in first place and implementation equally bad. DO NOT BUY if you already have I am sorry you didn't read this earlier. The kettle will not stay visible on the network and as others have said you cant close the app without killing it ... which results in the kettle disappearing from the network and connection being lost. Useless

Not easy to use with android handset. Guys fix this app for andriod uses. Its mis seliing your product as this app dies not work as specified.

Another 2 hours of my life wasted with a bad product. Kettle will be returned.

Just received a replacement kettle, the lid had stopped closing, and it will not connect. My wife's iPhone connected when next to hub but when in the kitchen connection lost. So disappointed in my first attempt at the Internet of things!

Crap. Doesn't work as it should. I'm taking this back for a refund as soon as it's convenient. I want my money back. Do not buy this junk you will be disappointed.

Go into your network settings and connect to ikettle network. Open app and set up a direct link. Then go back into your network settings and connect to your home network. Go back to the app and in the setting reset up a new connection this time using the top reccomended option. Works on Virgin Media fine..

The kettle is great BUT will NOT connect via Android! Tried for hours but no joy at all. I'm using Galaxy S6 edge so all up to date yet no joy. This needs sorting

Love the idea and the kettle but it's not great. Has to restablish connection every day. From bedroom it won't work so have to walk to kettle and turn on manually. If I wait about 15 mins then it does connect. Boil dry feature not available on Android only apple ois so have nearly managed to blow up an expensive toy.

App no longer connects on either Nexus 5 or 7, so have a very expensive kettle that does nothing more than a standard kettle. Clunky to use, very limited functionality (you can't make the kettle boil automatically at a certain time, it has to prompt you first) and full of typos. RESPECT YOUR CUSTOMERS AND UPDATE THIS APP!

Almost bought this but didn't as the software reviews are bad. Email me when they're better!

Good home WiFi, yet it hardly ever connects. Also, my kettle lid is hardened plastic, and has melted in 6 months.

Worked a treat yesterday day after I downloaded the app. Doesn't work today! Tried everything still no joy BAD app wants sorting. I agree with all the other one star raters. Please sort it (S5 mini)

Every time you want to use the app you have to kill it first, only then will it connect again. Poor really as it's the whole point of the kettle! The app will not reconnect for some bizarre reason. Also initial installation was very confusing, took three attempts to get it to work....!!!

I am IT manager and programmer and this is a terrible app to get to work - When it connects its OK but certainly not user friendly to get to work. Constantly fails to establish connection. - Spent hours getting devices connected. Even when the kettle works with another device. To make it far worse there is no manual mode of telling it the ip address - if only they added a setting which let you specify the ipaddress which the kettle was using, then I would be happy but as it is Aghh. The kettle does not support the better and newer 802.1x authentication/security (at least the software doesn't). As all my mobile devices use this to allow fast roaming between access points in the house the kettle has to be on a different SSID which means with the method they use to establish a connection the mobile device can't find the kettle if its on a different SSID on the same Access point. So as the Lounge and Kitchen typically use the same Access point - can never use it to from the lounge. Please sort this out to make it usable

Can only get a connection with my old Samsung galaxy S2. My current phone (Sony Xperia Z2) cannot connect to ikettle network, and can't even connect after setting up with SGS2. So the ikettle is just an expensive kettle. Nice kettle though, but not smart in any way, so app is very poor (maybe just not updated to work with any device newer than 2011?)

Confirmed to me by tech support. Says it all really! Pretty expensive for a standard kettle

I love my ikettle but the android app lacks features that the apple app has which is disappointing. The home function doesn't work on any Android device I own.

It's great but I still have to fill the kettle with water so I think it's amazing but could be better.

Where is this multiple user access..? Had this kettle since Xmas, only one device would connect!!

Sent days trying to get it working, support doesn't respond or answer their phones, total waste of money

I Kettle... I fought for an hour to get it to work.then I found they have an excellent online help video ,. Five minutes and all is well.At the moment! !
