Sustainable Palm Oil Shopping

Are you joking? Your quick search is absurd. I looked up a few well know products like Doritos or Bounty chocolate and you tell people they are excelent and orangutan friendly. It's a lie! Pick up a product and read the label. The label clearly states that they use palm oil. What the heck?

i am trying to find an app that will tell me if Palm oil is in my product that i am buying cause i am highly allergic to it, it is life threatening , have found severely people like me, would like to know if anyone reading this would know how to let the government know, maybe they would do something like peanut Allergy, hope this app works and lets me know in Palm oil is in the products i buy cause it is life threatening, i have not tried this app yet but hope to when i go out

Ita nice to see what companies support sustainable palm oil. While a lot of products use palm oil the difference is how the plantation is. Sustainable palm oil is using the same fields and not cutting down more trees

This app helps me find companies working to reduce deforestation by using sustainable palm oil (some 100%). Cutting palm oil out completely is near impossible, this app helps me identify and support the right companies.

It's about certified sustainable Palm Oil, not about eliminating Palm Oil. The team is responsive to messages if you have questions.

I have seen 'Before the flood' and all the companies like Unilever, Doritos, lays, Colgate Palmolive, etc which they showed are causing rainforests destruction for palm oil which is not sustainable are being shown as they use sustainable palm oil in their products which is completely false . Please don't trust this app and install it , it looks fake and must be reported for showing false information.

Use this every time I go grocery shopping

Bar code doesn't work and it would be nice to see more brands other than US ones.... I live in Spain which means 75% of my shopping doesn't exist in your database :( Still better than nothing but major Europe brands would be a nice addition :)

I am sometime who is extremely wary of where the palm oil in the products I buy comes from and I LOVE using this app! It's so easy to use and does exactly what it is intended to do. If everyone used this app, the animals that are affected by palm oil would definitely benefit. Go orangutans!

Really helpful when a product has palm oil in and I want to check if it is sustainable :) I would love if they had more products on the app but its an ongoing project obviously!

I would rate this a negative infinity if i can ! This app is just a bunch of lies !. What they say is orangutan friendly IS NOT !. do ur research people !. And everything is also CRUELTY. Anything UNILEVER IS ANIMAL CRUELTY AND USES PALM OIL and this app says its safe. Its NOT. Its PRO FOR DEFORESTATION !.

Went to the Atlanta zoo and downloaded the app. I love this idea but it still needs work, and this database needs to grow!

The info in here is great, and it gets the job done, but the entire thing could be a little better organized and laid out in terms of searching and viewing.

Nice idea but i'm afraid this app doesn't cut it. Tried it on a few products that I know contain non sustainable palm oil and they were rated "good". This will be more of a hindrance than a help. It seems the only way is to go completely palm oil free by doing your own research. Furthermore it's great to be aware of the destruction of orangutans, but how about your own body as a human being? Palm oil is some pretty nasty saturated fat whether sustainable or not.

The purpose of this app is to use sustainable palm oil, not no palm oil at all. It is lovely and if you want to know why sustainable is better than a boycott go to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo palm oil page

Really cool that this app is out there to help us look for the good products :) Remember that boycotting the bad products is not enough you have got to be more aggressive than that to make a change !

Products that only use palm oil from sustainable forest is listed as palm oil friendly. It does not mean that there is NO palm oil, it means that if there is palm oil it is not endangering wildlife...

What's the point in having an app that isn't right. All arnotts products contain palm oil. You really need to fix the app or just delete it as I will be!
