This is a free add-on to MediaMonkey that lets you create ringtones or alarms from MP3, WAV, AAC, M4A, and other audio files in your MediaMonkey library.
Using this addon with MediaMonkey you can navigate your media collection to find just the right file and set it as as a:
- Standard ringtone
- Contact-specific ringtone
- Alarm
MediaMonkey Ringtone Maker requires the following permissions:
modify your contacts - to set custom ringtones for a contact
read call log - to play custom ringtones
read your contacts - to choose contacts with which to associate a ringtone
write call log - to set contacts' custom ringtones

Does what it's supposed to with no frills. Based on reviews, many seem confused about how this app works. It isn't stand-alone; you have to have MediaMonkey installed as well. When in MediaMonkey, if you select a track (or a track is playing), press the three dots on the bottom right and one of the options is "Set as..", which gives you access to the ringtone/alarm features. It won't allow you to customize the ringtone in any way (e.g. select a particular section), so if you need that, look elsewhere.

Once installed this app is inaccessible. There isn't an icon for it on the apps screen nor is there an "open" option from the play store screen. Uninstalled, only takes up valuable space.

The program does nothing but take up memory space. It does not show up in MediaMonkey at all. I have a Moto E, android 5.0. If I could give it 0 stars I would.

This does nothing that you can't do from the android settings. Without the ability to select a PORTION of a track as a ringtone, there's no point in having this.

I have Installed thrice on my Grand Neo "Jelly Bean 4.2" but didn't got the option to start it and even restart the mobile in between but all waste.
