VCOrganizer Lite for Android
I love it
So far it has worked very well. You do need to take time to get accustomed to the format.
Great. Very useful. Easy to syn up.
Not free....just a free trial
Have serious problem with freezing. Scatters appointments in wrong time. Serious problems for me. Waiting to see if updates speed up sync with Outlook
Or probably too complicated. PC client does not connect at all.
Great widgets and calendar
Small thing that annoys me a lot... 2 font size choices. Large and GIANT. Come-on... let me make it small so I can see more at once!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So far, the app is okay. It synched fine to outlook.
Font too big, not elegant, fee too expensive, crash like hell with HTC desire s. So... Uninstalled.
Font its just too big for my Samsung Galaxy Tab, same issue with widget font. Hope developer can rectify it. Others function work fine
Its not, what i am expected
Installed the lite version, but when i tried to sync couple of times it told me the trial had expired! In less than ten minutes!
This is about as secure as a billboard on the highway
Couldn't even trial the trial version. PC client VCO, latest version, and HUAWEI Ascend G300 smartphone couldn't link over USB. USB debugging checked. USB mode checked on both devices. Firewall exception made. I refuse to disable AVG for routine use of any program or device. PC and phone and VCO center restarted several times. This is asking too much.
Initial reactions was this is a great app. After trying it I have some severe issues, not the least of which is with the dark background - category colors other than white or yellow are difficult or impossible to read. Really thought I needed this app because of Smartlink until I found to really link, you had to link 2x. Thought the calendar screens were great as well as the contact screens.

I downloaded so many apps but each time was greatly disappointed because it failed to deliver. Don't know why I missed this app. I've just downloaded it and everything was setup in a couple of minutes. Fantastic! Am deleting the other apps like DejaOffice and mOffice!
Would have been nice to at least get to try it! 1st time I opened it, it said trial had expired and pushed me to buy. Uninstalling. Could be the best but I'll never know!!!
It' nice
Great
I'm currently using the "trial" version of this software before I spend the $25.00 to purchase it. The way I use Outlook is to manage five (5) separate we-based e-mail accounts (none are MS Exchange). VCOrganizer favors the default account only. It has a way to synchronize additional folders from other accounts, but I've found that it's hit and miss (other folders only worked with Tasks, but not for Calendar, Contacts and Notes). I had to re-organize the way I use Outlook in order to record everything through my default account, otherwise the synchronization of the other folders would not happen. After doing that, it's working quite well and I think it's a decent app. Perhaps the full version works better? I'm on the fence about spending a full $25.00 on an android app. Anyone know if VCO Pro will go on sale? If not, I'm going to try similar apps before deciding purchasing VCO Pro or not.
I tried the trial "lite" VCOrganizer on a Motorola Droid X. It Worked OK, BUT it forcloses when I search VCO contacts. Without a search that works, I have to manually scroll through my list of 600 contacts. This falure of a basic function is a deal breaker and I am not going to buy it. All else works ok VCO syncs fine both ways, no sync errors noticed. Very nice feature set. The VCO contacts and calander are independent from native contacts and calendar that come with the phone. I found VCO a little cumbersom to navigate within and Making entries takes a little time. There is no integration with recient caller log, in the native dialer , I can not add a recient caller to my VCOcontacts directly, like i can add to native contacts. I end up writing numbers down on a piece of paper, and then going into VOC and manually entering them. Pretty low teck for a hi teck phone and OS. My goad is to sync with outlook 2007 on my desktop PC, that is all I want, all I am asking for, For the love of GOZ please someone polish an app that works well for this. I am going to try Mobisynapse and then may spring $50 for Dejaorganizer, or just go back to a Blackberry, it's quicker to use.
I was about to give it 3 stars but then again it has "lite" in the title, not "Trial". This TRIAL works well enough but too expensive for what it is and no warning its about to expire. TouchDown much better but it doesn't sync to PC. VcOrganizer does NOT have USB sync, it uses USB tethering which is painful. It then charges even more for the bluetooth support which is the only way of pain free sync (and this is a major part of why I'm not buying it).
Thank you for all of your help. Please let me know if there is anything I should do. Have a great day.
Why cancel a lite version, makes no sense. It's not very good anyway, and needs to improve on interface and widgets.
Good effort but no ability to link contacts to events or other contacts. Also calendar could use a revamp. I haven't explored all options yet but so far dejaoffice has been better.
Does what it says on the box. Just what I was looking for to mange syncing calander and notes from outlook.
May or may not do as promised but fails at basic hurdle of allowing a UK mailing address to be edited n viewed. As useless as Android standard.: (
This IS the solution you've been looking for. Syncs better than my old Palm Pilot. Absolutely flawless so far. I am very impressed. Wish I'd found sooner.
