The Ferry App

Compared to the iOS version I had on my iphone, this version is TERRIBLE. It does not list the # spaces on the upcoming ferry as the iOS version did--which was very useful to me to choose which ferry route to take, or if easier to just get another cup of coffee & wait, or go ahead and rush down to the ferry terminal!!

FEEDBACK: I need arrival time, not just departure time. Plenty of space for it on the right of the row. Other this app is perfect! Does exactly what I need and saves my route. Even has automatic traffic cameras for my departure landing. Wow.

Well, very basic, no delay warnings and no rates listed. Decent app.

If you need more detailed information, get a ferry schedule, a actual paper, folding, printed schedule. This application works great for me. NO complaints.

Or else someone with great intuition. Simple, fast, and tells me what I want to know. When is the next ferry? Can I get there in time? If only the WSF website was anywhere near this easy to use. Bravo. Well done.

Doesn't list rates? Seems like one of the more important aspects of taking the ferry.

Would be really nice to see current wait times..sick of showing up to a 2 hr wait..I'd just drive around if the app was correct.. Would save alot of time.. Otherwise good app

Very easy interface and searchable for your destination or departure route. Some of the leaser ratings are ridiculous, get the WASDOT app for then; for more precision or check the state's full web site. This is a great app for the non commuter

WSDOT changed the ferry schedules recently and this app doesn't have those times loaded, so it's now useless.

This is a useless app. All it does is display the printed ferry schedule. Is your ferry late? If it is you are SOL, because this app won't tell you.

Great app. In about 4 seconds I can check the schedule. If there was a tab for service alerts from WSF then that would be even more deluxe

Love the app but why is the camera window so small and can't be resized? Fix that and add real time departure info and it would be perfect.

I use this all the time. The time to the ferry is really handy for planning.

I'm a regular Washington State ferry system user and this app is very helpful. The ability to have a favorites list for the three routes that I use and an quick indication on the expected time to commute to the ferry from my location makes this a much easier to use application then the drill down that's need for ferry schedule information in the WSDOT app.

Some departures to or from certain of the San Juan Islands don't accept vehicles to certain destinations, only passengers on foot. This program does not indicate this at all. We had to extend our visit to Orcas last Saturday by nearly three hours because this app said Orcas-Anacortes left at 3:35, when in fact the next Anacortes-bound ferry that would accept our car left at 6:20. There needs to be some way to indicate whether you are traveling with a car or on foot, and if so, only to show ferries that you can actually drive on to (and off of at your intended destination)! Very attractive UI, though, and works fine for many routes. Also the time-to-terminal function is great.

For those of us who really use the ferry system this is not quite enough. Most routes have way more cameras. Ferry commuters often use all the route cameras to plan when they should actually leave to go get in line. Showing only the dick holding lane cams can be misleading since they are often somewhat empty right after a load. For example: Seeing the uphill overflow holding lanes for Mukilteo or Clinton can show a couple miles of backup even when the direct holding lanes on the dock are empty.

It would be really awesome if you could choose a ferry time and the app would calculate what time, based on your current location, you would need leave to make the ferry

Needs travel times and actual expected departure times.

This app is precisely what a WSF passenger needs! The time until departure feature is great.

Sweet little app!

As an Islander who takes the WA ferries often, this app is exactly what I've been looking for. Far more user friendly than the official WSDOT app. Best part is the feature that displays your driving time to the terminal to answer the age-old question, "Will I make the boat?"An excellent app!

Must I say it again,... it's perfect!

I love the "drive to terminal" feature in combination with "next departure", saves me time from calculating Google maps with the ferry schedule. Thanks!

Navigation could use a few less options or some sort of streamlining, but besides that works great.
